Dicksons Air Conditioning & Heating

My furnace stopped working this winter so I called dicksons. I’ve been using them for years. Andrew was very helpful and fast at fixing my furnace. Very nice and professional. I recommend dicksons to everyone I know.

We called Dickson Heating and Air when the AC/​H fan was continuously running with just low heat coming out of our 3 yr old central air/​heat unit. He said the unit was losing refrigerant which needed to be replaced for over $ 300 and also needed an added device that should have been on the air conditioning/​heating unit when it was installed ($ 340). We refused, so he said he had to finish what he was doing outside and he would leave. After he left there was absolutely no heat coming from the unit… We contacted another air conditioning/​heating company. They said there was NO refrigerant and it had been drained which he replaced for $ 100 (what a difference in cost). Also, there was no need for the added device Dickson wanted to add onto the unit. Please be careful if using Dickson Air Conditioning/​Heating Co.

Top notch air conditioning company. From start to finish everything went right. My air conditioning broke down when i needed it the most. I called Dicksons and they sent someone the same day. I was really impressed by their technician who checked everything, wrote it down and explained to me what is going on with my ac. This tech — john –knows his craft. He took pictures of failed parts, showed me and explained what is what and what it does. Basically i went thru 101 air conditioning class. I had the option to repair it but i decided not to throw my $ away. The installation was done in one day and the installers were soaked coming from the hot attic. At the end they cleaned after themselves even though I told them I will do it. Now I have a new ac/​heating system that work as I was told. I really liked the fact that their price was out of the door, including taxes, labor and all the permits. No extra charge because they had to work late. Thank you guys.

From start to finish this was possibly the most pleasant experience with any contractor we have ever had. We are out of towners, with parents for renters in Laguna Woods HOA, and we needed a new AC/​Heating system in back half of our condo.
John came out, gave me a bid, got the separate asbestos bid, got the permits, cut the hole in the wall and installed the system in under 4 days. The bid was very reasonable, not the cheapest but on the lower range, the professionalism, installation, and process was just simply outstanding.
THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR HEATING/​AC NEEDS.
Just one complaint: The on hold «muzac» is the «Cheers» TV theme. What a brain worm. Please change the music. :-)

Don’t schedule with this company. They have so many issues with scheduling. You can’t depend on them. I had to schedule 4 appointments to get my air conditioning fixed. Twice they didn’t show up because I missed their call on my home phone the day before;so they cancelled the the appointment without telling me. Then when I scheduled to have them install my reverse osmosis system, I asked them to have an appointment to install it. When the technician came out he tried to sell me their whole house system and then said he was only out at my house to give me an estimate. The estimate was outrageous as I already had all the hook ups from the old system. Took another plumber 30 mintues to install. They also give you a maintenance agreement to sign which is a sneaky way of them getting other business.

I agree with the favorable reviews I have been reading about Dicksons service. They are wonderful. Anthony Belt, a senior technician at Dicksons, came out one day after I called in about my AC not working. He was extremely professional and explained everything to me very clearly. Most of us do not know much of anything about AC and heaters except that they keep us cool and warm and when they are not working. In my case, the AC did not work because the power supply had been stolen. Imagine that. That is another story. It probably would have been back up and running if I had just replaced it. However, upon further inspection Anthony pointed out the age and that my heater was most likely a hazard and my AC was old as well, I decided to replace both. Thank goodness I did because when they pulled out the heater, it was filthy and rusted. Evidently the heating unit is what conducts the heat or air. So I was breathing in all that filth for several years (bought the house 6 years ago). Who even thinks of something like that. Not I. But Anthony called it right and I am so thankful that he did. I could go on but my main point is that Anthony and Dicksons in general are an excellent company. I highly recommend them.

From the top down, these guys are Amazing. I wish they could do all of our contracting work. Our new heaters/​air conditioners are clean, quiet, efficient. The gentleman we worked with, John, Steven, and David were Professional and Kind and Very Able. They even covered their feet so they wouldn’t track in the house, doing beautiful work. The wood framing on the bedroom unit was a complete surprise. It really is lovely. From start to finish, they did everything they said they would, they kept to the time table, they arrived Exactly when they said they would. I couldn’t be more pleased. Just Brilliant. Will call them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to Everyone for heating and air.

Had a new system installed after our 30-​year-​old a/​c was struggling. Dickson’s installed the old one as well. Very happy with all the explanations and quality of installation. All the guys were really great and we felt very cared for. Thanks guys !

I was not 100% satisfied with how my appointment unfolded today however after speaking with management, they clarified my main frustration and responded/​listened to my concern. End of the day, I can tell the management is passionate about his business and wants customer satisfaction.

Dicksons was out at my parents home (they are older) and did a review of their system. They noticed that there were a few problems with the system causing it to over work and burn itself out. They caught a problem that I didn’t even know was going on… After much talk about putting money into an existing air conditioner and etc, we decided to replace the whole thing… The new system works great and the guys who put it in were so friendly. It made me feel good knowing the guys were so friendly being in my parents home. Thank you Dicksons.

The first of the year was just freezing! Turned on the heater and nothing. Totally thought I was going to have to pay for a new heater. I called Dicksons Air Conditioning. They were out that day. I was just waiting to be told that I would have to pay for a new system but the guy they sent out, John, was very helpful and explained that I needed yearly maintenance to keep my heater from breaking down. I paid under $ 500.00 to have a part replaced. Was so happy! I am still using the heater just to kill the chill in the mornings and it works great! I would HIGHLY recommend this company!!!

Well, the first review explains a lot. Dicksons installed my AC and heater a few yrs ago. They sent out a coupon for maintanance on said unit in June and even though no problems, my husband decided a routine inspection was a good idea. It took 3 wks to get an appt, they cancelled the morning of. Rescheduled for 2 days later, cancelled again morning of. Stupidly I rescheduled for the following monday. they never showed. Give this company and it’s new owner a wide berth, unless you enjoy this kind of unprofessional conduct. Would never use them, much less recommend them
