Los Jilbertos

My family used to love the food, but recently it hasn’t been very good. The past few times we ordered chorizo, it has been on the burnt side. Then last night after an unusually long wait, our fish burritos were terrible. The fish was soggy and instead of cabbage (which I was told was in it), there was lettuce that had also gotten wilted… ugh! In addition, my chile relleno burrito was not prepared as I requested it.

This place has some ok food. But there service just sucks. My gf and i came here a few weeks back and the register girl just had one of the dumbest attitudes ive seen and heard since i was like in elementary school. Thats how ridiculous this girl was. I dont know her name but if you meet her you will definitely know who i am talking about. This place would go much farther as far as sales if they just got rid of this girl. I will not be conducting any business here as long as she works here. Dont feel like paying for aweful service despite on how good there food can be at times.

Worse mexican restaurant ever. Thier carne asada burritos only come with the meat gaucamole and pico de gallo. Skimpy if you ask me. So instead of just adding the cheese, beans and rice that is in most burritos. they charged me per item including the gaucamole that already came on the burrito. To top it off no flavor at all

ALERT… the prices have gone up and the portion of food has gone down. I was a huge fan of the chile rellenos here. Loved them. Now they are less than half the size as they were last year. I was a loyal customer for years, but no more. So sorry, but another good Mexican restaurant bites the dust in my book. I am now looking for a replacement for my craving for chille rellenos.
UPDATE: I went back last night and the chile rellenos are back to being big again. Happy to change my review.

I will never return to this restaurant. My family wanted tacos and chose Jilberto. In the pass they offered decent food at a fair price. Apparently they have raised their prices. I asked for ten mini tacos plus a cup of beans and rice. The final price $ 28.01! When I got home there was only six tacos in the container. I’ll take responsibility because it wasn’t worth me driving back. A neighborhood spot should be more price sensitive. There are to many alternatives.

Great food but service from the cashier was horrible!!! After waiting a long time for our food and seeing people come and go, we finally asked where our food was. She forgot!!! Really? We were sitting there the whole time and not very many customers were there. Even after all that she didn’t care. Just made excuses that the order didn’t get to their chef.

So sad to put 1 star. The food is excellent! The food I would give 5 stars if I had the option. We came here 01÷16÷16 at 7:00pm and the cashier had the WORST customer service ever. Which is why I am rating this place with one star. The people ordering food around us were also commenting how poor this girl treats everyone. But we all keep coming back for the food. Management needs to do some delegation on who they keep for employees. Just saying…

While the food is excellent… the service with a certain cashier is horrible!!! Please see review from 12÷17÷15. I agree.
Today is 1÷16÷16 at 7:00pm. I didn’t get her name but she was VERY rude to us and kept walking away while we were trying to order. She even picked up the phone and started another conversation while we were ordering!!!
To management… if you’re reading this, please have a serious conversation with this girl or fire her!!! As you can see from previous posts, she is not in the best position for customer service and continues to be rude with guests in your restaurant.

the food is always good, wait isnt long, customer service is up to standards. Ill be returning for carne asada fries, tacos, rice/​beans, salsa… etc.!!

I think management should check their cashiers’ attitudes (only one girl has the sweetest personality and great customer service).
Today’s (¹²⁄₁₇) cashier was HORRIBLE! She had the worst attitude, kept rushing us after each item ordered while saying these words, with a rude tone, saying «Anything else… Anything else… ANYTHING ELSE.» If she would be patient, pause, wait until the last person finished, I believe there would be something else. Another issue– let customers know what days they can give fresh (not pickled) jalapeños– I believe yesterday (Wednesday, ¹²⁄₁₆) is a yes and Thursday is a no. Again, I asked and she said «oh ok,» never received it. However, the limes asked were no problem. As far as smell, understand moping the floor with bleach and those eating in the restaurant ARE NOT A PLEASANT COMBINATION! I recommend waiting until people are done eating, and WASH YOUR HANDS after you mop BEFORE delivering food. Next time this occurs, I will report the person not washing their hands to the health department. I couldn’t even finish my burrito after my boyfriend and I witnessed this.

We ate here today and now my whole family has food poisoning! First and last time…

I just had stomach surgery 3 weeks ago and could only have soft foods like grilled fish or potato. I went for a potato taco and asked them to make it soft. When the front lady asked the chef the assistant chef next to him called me an idiot in Spanish. Taco was boring too.

Nastiest Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. My brother bought the carne asada burrito he was disgusted bc he kept picking out chunks of fat out of his burrito. I got a cheese and chicken enchiladas I took one bite of the cheese and spit it out. The cheddar cheese used was sharp and it wasn’t even melted! I also got a carne asada tostada and the carne asada was bitter. I think it’s safe to say I am done with fast food for a long time

This CHILI VERDE is spicy but, it is THE BEST (2^nd to mine of course) I’ve ever had. The AL PASTOR burrito is fantastic because they put a chrunchiness to the mean and it just brings the taste to as new level. I don’t usually review TACO shops but, this one deserves praise.

Love this place. They are close to home, yummy and have great green salsa. The reason they didn’t get 5 stars is recently they decided to stop accepting cards under $ 20. I mean come on, you’re a fast food place. Aren’t most orders under $ 20? I have done book keeping for a retail store for a long time and know merchant fees on such low totals don’t add up to much. I don’t always have cash on me and I don’t want to use the ATM that charges $ 3 to take out cash at the restaurant to pay for my food. Bad idea guys!

I would give more stars food is good but the owner is so cheap. He raised all prices now, you can’t pay with a debit card if it’s under 20 dollars so he put in atm machine and charges you a fee to get your money, drink refill is not free it is getting pretty bad I’ve been going since they opened and it is going down hill but food is good. Owner cheap ass so eat somewhere else

Delicious Chile Verde and Carne Asada Burritos. I love their food! They have a salsa bar complete with Jalapenos and spicy carrots to add the extra spice if your craving it.

Best Mexican food in the area. Not as good as the Los Jilbertos in Murrieta but still great. We live in menifee and drive here every time we want Mexican. Have had almost everything on the menu and it’s always amazing!

I don’t get all the positive reviews. I really don’t. I ordered a carry out order of Chicken Flautas. I overheard the cashier say to the back, «she didn’t tip us» and the next thing I know I have food poisoning. So does my one year old daughter who I gave the chicken too and my dad who I have the rest of my order because I honestly thought it was pretty bland. My daughter and I both became severely dehydrated as the result of food poisoning from here… I actually had to go to the hospital. The only people in our house not sick are those that didn’t eat from here.

This place has the best of everything! I love the bean cheese rice burritos and their nachos! My dad especially loves the fried beef tacos :)
