This place is greaT!!! Emily was my CMT and she was AMAZING. the best I’ve EVER had. And that’s a pretty high claim considering how often I go to the spa and seeking the perfect masseuse. She hit all the right spots and was very professional and friendly. Not too hard and not too soft. The ambiance was nice, clean and relaxing. I’m definitely coming back when I return. Emily, I hope you’re still there when I do!!!

5 STAR massage!!! If you want to relax then Cathy is the person to see. She gave the best massage I have ever had. This Spa is nice, clean and beautiful. The atmosphere is perfect and relaxing. If you are looking to relax then this is the place just remember to book your appointment with Cathy! After I left I felt so good, man I have not felt this way in such a long time. Thank you Cathy for taking your time and also making my relaxing vacation so much more relaxing.

This is definitely top notch– went once for reflexology with Sandina (so?) who was awesome! I explained that I was put off by a painful massage about ten years back and she encouraged me to give it another go– since I couldn’t hang around and enjoy the full spa amenities (small steam room, heavenly shower, lanai) that day, I returned on my last afternoon before the redeye out of Maui. What a great decision! Splurged and used our SPG star points on an 80
Minute massage by Shelby who was awesome– beautiful choice of massage oils and great skill on Shelby’s part and I now love massage! Capped the day with a swim and hot tub at the pool, returned and enjoyed the spa some more. Thanks for a great end to a beautiful week at the Westin Ocean North Villas!

Service was pretty good they even gave me some extra hair treatment when the service person failed to do it completely in the actual service room…
He also takes spa finder cards from Costco so you can save a little bit of money since of course getting any kind of treatment can be rather expensive…

This is a service that you can avail even if you are not staying in the villa and not an owner. You just have to be willing to pay the price.
It’s an awesome place. Very restful vibe. Muted colors and very knowledgeable and patient massage therapist.
I had the Lomi Lomi massage courtesy of Adam and it was wonderfully relaxing and it is normally a medium pressure massage but can be adjusted according to your needs. For the 1hr session in a clean, nice smelling room with a 15%discount as a platinum SPG time share owner it still totaled to $ 165 with taxes. They include the 20%gratuity in their total. You will be asked to sign that you agree to the gratuity when you check in. I think my therapist deserved her full 20%!
Will I go back? Most definitely! Just the location and the beautiful lounge area and the outside lanai if you prefer to read outside is worth it.
Top notch shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Cold water garnished with lemon for your thirsty self. A lounge chair to recline and stretch yourself while you wait. A steam room. A locker, robe and flip flops.
Try their shampoo and conditioner and the body lotion! I want them! Sooo creamy!

I just finished a 50 min therapeutic massage with Brad. It was wonderful. The pressure was perfect and the only words exchanged were by him asking about the pressure. I don’t like to talk during a massage. I’m sure he would have, but not my thing.
The vanilla pineapple spa water was really refreshing. The shampoo and body wash also had a yummy smell.
I definitely recommend Brad.

Because we ended up with a free day on our honeymoon with no activities or excursions planned, I booked a couples massage in the cabanas outside. I asked for the «therapeutic massage» upgrade, because both my husband and I have a pretty high tolerance to massage/​pain and really wanted to feel a difference from the massage.
I don’t think my expectations were overly high when I asked for the theraputic massage, but I honestly feel pretty disappointed in what I received– the pressure/​technique just wasn’t anything notable, nothing that would separate it from a typical basic swedish type massage (which was cheaper on the menu). I know the therapist knew I wanted a full-​strength massage, but I feel like I wasn’t getting much effort from them for most of the massage.
It was neat getting a massage outdoors, but it’s not like I could really even see the ocean or anything while my head was in the donut headrest thingie on the massage table.
Like the restaurants and most of the resort as a whole, I have to give Spa Helani a solid 2 stars. «Meh. I’ve experienced better» definitely sums up my experience here.

I just had the best lomi lomi massage and oxygen facial here. Both ladies who did my facial and massage were amazing. I was skeptical at first when I read some of the reviews but my experience was fantastic and definitely a plus after a few days here in Maui :) totally helped and was worth it.

Since we’re on our honeymoon, we went all out for the 110min couples massage, and it was worth every pretty penny!
Luis was great and receptive to my requests.
If you’re looking for a «deal», this is far from the right place, but if you’re looking to pamper yourself for a special occasion, it’s perfect.
My critique is with scheduling – they put us down for the wrong day, but at least, they squeezed us in when we showed up.

Day 9 of 10 in Maui and my skin was so dry. Staying in Honua Kai which is a lovely resort in Kaanapali with its own spa BUT… recalling how magical my spa treatment was at Spa Helani at the Westin last year and didn’t want to risk it. I called Spa Helani again and boy am I glad I did. Ask for Trinity. Her hands are magic. I have regular facials at home and can easily say she is one of the best. The only complaint I have is with the relaxing room that you are welcome to sit in before and/​or after your treatment. It is a lovely room and I brought my book but by 5 minutes in, I was ready to rip my hair out. The walls are not sound proof and the hotel pool door is directly behind the lounge chairs so all you hear is the door squeaking and slamming shut.

Wonderful valentines day couples massage. Rejuvenating essential oils and a complimentary glass of champagne. After the massage we sat on the outdoor lanai and enjoyed our champagne, and then relaxed in the steam room. The eucalyptus in the steam was great for my sinuses. Now the only choice remaining is to relax some more, or head out to snorkel.

My friends and I were looking for a last minute spa day for five and decided to go with Spa Helani due the price and their availability. I’ve had spa treatments done at several other places, including hotels, and in comparison Spa Helani was disappointing.
The lounge to hang out in before your treatment was a little underwhelming. There were 4 of us gals getting treatments done and we practically filled up the whole relaxation room. The way the lounge was set up it felt more like a social area rather than one to truly sit back and relax in, due to the limited privacy of the chairs and brightness of the room. Spa Helani does have a larger, outdoor lounge area which is co-​ed so that is at least convenient if you’re going with your significant other.
My friends and I got varying treatments and we all had mixed reviews.
— I had their «pregnancy massage» and I totally agree with another reviewer that this is by far not their speciality. The table and pillow set up they had for massage was comfy (I was 20 weeks preggers at the time) but aside from that I found this massage no different then a regular massage. I know that there are some areas a masseuse should avoid on a pregnant woman, yet the lady doing my massage didn’t seem to know that. Plus, at the end of my massage she was recommending relaxing in a hot tub to unwind?! She definitely did not seem to have any knowledge about pregnant women when it comes to spa treatments.
— In contrast, my 3 (non-​pregnant) friends had massages: one said their massage was good and relaxing (she had a male masseuse) while our other friends had a couple’s massage and felt their massage was a little weak and not relaxing enough. Our other friend received a facial and it was just okay, not anything special or extraordinary about it.
We all enjoyed our spa day, in large part due to the super friendly staff, and we did leave feeling refreshed (which I think was more due to the fact we were on vacation in paradise) but the next time I’m in Maui (preggers or not) I think I’ll be going elsewhere for a spa day.
TIP: If you’re staying at the Honua Kai Resport they’ll give you a 10% discount because they are neighboring hotels.

The last experience I had here was not my favorite– this time on short notice my husband called and booked me a Massage– I was fortunate enough to be fit it the next ½ hr and had Shannon for a massage therapist. My shoulder was very agitated and she did a wonderful amazing job working through it so I am now feeling so much better! I am very excited we have a couple massage booked on Saturday!

I usually don’t get massages at hotel spas since they are overpriced and treatments are just ok. However, I was suffering for migraine and shoulder pain 2 days in a row that I was desperate for a massage.
To my surprise, Kim did a wonderful job getting rid of my knots! Pressure was perfect the entire time and the lotion she used smelled yummy :) The spa itself could use a little bit more amenities than a steam room. I guess when you’re in Maui… you would rather be outside sipping Mai tai by the beach than sit around inside a spa.
FYI-​some of their products are 20% on Mondays and ask for $ 15 off coupons for treatments over $ 100.

I had just 4 days in Maui to try to relax and get all the kinks out.
Knowing we’d be at the Westin Kaanapali I made an appointment to Spa Helani for a massage. I went for the Heavenly Massage which incorporated mostly swedish but also any other forms as well.
We (my sister and I) were running late to our appointments. We were there about 5 minutes before (though they tell you 15 to give you prep time). We were ushered into the women’s lounge/​locker rooms, instructed to pick a locker, grab the robe, grab a cup of tea or a glass of spa water (I love spa water) and have a seat in the waiting area.
As soon as we stepped into the waiting area our masseurs were patiently waiting for us.
Gil was assigned to me and he did an excellent job. He’s very knowledgeable, too. So if you have questions about different techniques or why this works that way, he will definitely have an answer.
The tea was chamomile-​y and soothing. The water was citrus-​y and refreshing. The steam room was small but since they were pretty slow that day, it was just me and my sister. Chill’n and get’n the toxins out. The showers were great with rain fall type heads.
I think my only issue was the smell of the body products. I’m more of a natural clean product type person and everything the Spa provided was fruity.
But outside of smelling like a tropical fruit salad (faint), the rest of the experience was quite nice.
If you are staying at the villa, I would definitely recommend making an appointment. It really was nice and relaxing. I wish we had planned it differently though. I would’ve allowed more time to sit back and relax here and I probably would’ve brought a book to enjoy some quite time in the waiting lounge area, too.

At the end of our two week vacation — booked a Massage and manicure for me and my Mom.
Usually resort spas are OK — but this one was OUTSTANDING ! We both have the best massage I’ve ever had away from home ! It was just wonderful and a nice way to end the vacation.
The spa is just beautiful with even a little outdoor space you can relax in. The staff were very helpful in every way.

While vacationing in Maui I developed an extreme pain in my middle back area. Finally, one afternoon, I decided to see if a good massage would help. Wow! It was amazing! I explained to the therapist what the problem was and where it hurt and he spent the entire hour working only on my back. He knew just what to do to alleviate the pain. After I left, I was a little sore and wondered if it would help. l Within a couple of hours I felt like a new person. No pain! No soreness! Just felt wonderful. ]
While it is expensive, especially by mainland comparisons, it was worth every penny to have a professional work on my back. I would recommend the Spa Helani even if you don’t have a problem, I was so relaxed following the massage and felt absolutely wonderful!

My hubby and I never before had a couples massage… so decided that on the last day of our trip to be spoiled. The massage and the location was amazing. The room was incredible, clean and open. I get massages all the time and this was one of the BEST ones ever. It was relaxing all the way. Can’t believe this was our 1^st time visiting Helani, as we’ve been to the villas 3 other times.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this experience.

The first day I came here, I went to the spa and checked things out. I gathered the much needed particulars and headed to the room where the other gals I was doing the upcoming Maui half marathon were eagerly awaiting.
Once we all combed over the menu, we went down the next day and booked our treatments for the afternoon after the marathon.
What an amazing idea THAT was.
I ordered a package that included a 50 minute massage followed by a 5– minute facial, then lunch. The treatments were as good as any other treatment I have received at a high end spa and so was the lunch. A massage feels fantastic after a half marathon, and a facial feels equally great after a few days of sun.
Where they really scored high points with me was in their lounging area.
We got into our robes about 1.5 hours prior to our treatments and this lounge was outdoors and most of it was in the shade, but there were some areas for sun. THey had these huge reclining chairs with big cushions that you sink into, that had a thin, soft blanket at the foot of each one. After the morning we had pounding that highway, both myself and my friend each grabbed one of those recliners and took in the tranquility of the warm humid air, welcomed shade, unbelievably comfortable recliners, and we hydrated a bit on water with big sweet orange slices in it.
I think it was about 15 minutes before I was completely passed out.
Before my treatment, a nice gal came and got me. I had two hours of pampering, and then hit the lounge again, where I again found my friend passed out again after her treatments. My second visit to the lounge after my treatments, I didn’t fall asleep again, but just took in my surroundings until my lunch came. I had a choice of about 5 different lunches with my treatment. I just got a healthy salad with some chicken on it. I figured I would take advantage of the 1200 calories I burned earlier and opted out of pigging out.
