We are a mobile or studio spray tan service offering special Bridal packages, event parties or individual tans. Maui Elegant Tan individualizes services to meet your needs. History

Established in 2012.

Maui Elegant Tan opened in February 2012 as Maui Million Dollar Tan. As months flew by we researched products, participated in specialized trainings and tanned hundreds of visitors and residents. We re-​branded to Maui Elegant Tan in April 2013 with a focus on customized spray tans. We continue to serve individuals and parties as a mobile or studio tanning service.

Wendy, a University of Iowa and University of Hawaii alumni is the founder of Maui Elegant Tan. I have created a spray tanning service that embodies luxury and convenience providing spray tanning on location or my Lahaina Studio. It is my mission to create a sophisticated service that provides the most natural tan possible while keeping each and every client healthy.

I provide a convenient alternative to ultra violet tanning found in sun bathing and tanning booths. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. I have taken my experience with personal skin cancer treatments to help educate others on the safest way to tan.

I was very wary of spray tans having tried an assortment of automatic booth spray tans like Mystic Tan. Nervous that I would either end up orange or have the tan rub off on everything I touched. I had heard good things about Maui Elegant Tan and so I gave it a shot. Wendy (owner/​sprayed) gave me the full run down and made me feel totally at ease. I had her spray my whole body including my face, I opted for a medium brown as I already had a natural base. I actually didn’t let it dry as long as I was supposed to but I was in a rush so I kept my fingers crossed. I went out that night and the first person I saw said I was glowing. It looked amazing and natural, very sun kissed and no hint of orange. No problem with it rubbing off on towels and sheets. Looked best on day 2 and 3. A bit streaky as it wore off but I’m told it is because I didn’t exfoliate first. I will definitely return for another tan and I recommend Wendy, she’s a seasoned professional and very passionate about her craft.

If I could give this 10 stars I would! We came to Maui and I needed to get a spray tan. After googling and Unilocaling I came across Elegant Spray Tan and I’m so happy I did. Wendy, the owner is so sweet and did a great job! She was very thorough and it’s the best spray tan I’ve ever gotten (and I’ve been spray tanning for about 20 years). She also provided me with some great restaurant and beach recommendations. She educated me thoroughly on how to take care of your spray tan in order for it to last 10 days plus. Great tips that I never knew about! Thanks so much Wendy! I will be back the next time we are on the island!

DA. BEST. I would classify myself as a tan-​orexic. However, being young and dumb I made a lot of mistakes in the past (i.e. tanning beds, baby oil), now I am paying for it. And my dermatologist can attest. So what does one do when they live in paradise and are surrounded by gorgeous golden bodies constantly, but should not lay in the harmful sun… They go see Wendy!!! Whether you are local and don’t have the time to be a beach bum to get your tan on, or you are visiting and really want to rub your vacation in your sad coworkers faces, or you are a Bride wanting to look perfect for your big day, or better yet a bridesmaid that wants to impress the one single guy at the wedding (holla at my girls!), GO SEE WENDY! She is very professional, knows her stuff, and you leave looking naturally golden brown, not orange (and toned! She’s a miracle worker!). I can’t recommend her enough! You can go to her, or she can come to you. It’s win win! So go get your tan on! (Safely of course)

People’s first reaction when I say I’m getting a spray tan is «Why? You live in Hawaii!» Followed by, «That’s a spray tan?!?» Well, here’s why: first, Wendy is so great and professional. She picks the perfect color for me so that I never look orange or streaky. It always comes out looking super natural and bronzed. Second, although I’d like to look like I spend all my time at the beach, the reality is I have two jobs and simply can’t. So when it is time to hit the sand, I’m all set. Not to mention that there’s something about having a tan that just makes my clothes look better! Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a natural glow from a pro!

First of all, let me start by sayin that I own my own spray tan business in San Francisco so you can imagine how particular I am about spray tans. I was visiting my family in Maui a few weeks ago and unfortunately did not have time to spray tan myself before the trip (like I normally would) so I turned to Unilocal to try and find someone that could come to our rented house in Lahaina and spray tan me and my mom. I called Wendy at Maui Elegant Tan and she was extremely helpful right off the bat, answering all my questions about what type of solutions she has and telling her about our time constraints and she walked us right thru the decision making process of selecting the right tanning solution. She came to our place and gave both of us exactly the tan we wanted. Her solution is extremely light feeling (not sticky or gross at all) and I absolutely loved the color. I am so happy to have found Wendy bc now I wont even bother to tan myself when going to Maui, I’ll just call Wendy!

Wendy is over the top with Customer Service. I called on a Sunday thinking I would leave a message no, she answered! She booked all 4 of us right away for that Sunday afternoon. She waited for us (in the rain) to guide us to a parking spot. We loved our tans, beautiful and natural. Our only complaint is that she doesn’t have a salon in MT. Thank you Wendy! Just back from Maui. Called Maui Elegant Tan mid-​way through my trip just to spruce up my tan… Wendy is amazing! She gave the BEST spray tan I have ever had! Perfectly applied, beautiful color, and long lasting. Plus Wendy is sweet and personable. She even came to my Hotel and sprayed me there! I cannot recommend Wendy enough! She even texted me the next day to «check on» my tan! I will definitely be back to see Wendy on my next trip to Maui!

As a man I was not sure about getting a spray tan, but Wendy made me feel so comfortable! The whole process only took about 15 minutes, I left it on for 10 hours and woke up WITH A PERFECT TAN!!! I looked younger, thinner and healthy. Im already planning my next session :)

Went to see Wendy on our vacation. Being a business owner and also in the beauty business myself, I was impressed that she called me right back… We went to her house for our tans. It was comfortable, professional and pleasant. She was efficient, knowledgeable and uses great products. Being a redhead, and it being my first spray tan… I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t turn out to dark. She didn’t bat and eye and sprayed me beautifully. My husband and I came to maui to renew our vows. I decided we needed to get a spray tan. I looked up several reviews for the area and called Wendy. She was very nice on the phone (even though my 2 year old was screaming in the background the entire time) and was able to fit us in that evening. For a small fee she came to us which was well worth it! She is very knowledgeable and asked many questions to make sure we got the perfect tan. She was prompt and had everything set up in 15 min. My husband and I wore undies only. She was professional and made me feel as comfortable as possible considering I was standing topless in front of a stranger. Haha She gave us some info to take care of the tan and was on her way. The next day was our wedding and the tans were perfect! No streaky, no orange, no bad odors. She saved the day!

I just moved to Maui and was looking forward to building a tan. I decided it would be great to jump-​start my tan with a spray tan so I looked for it on Unilocal.I decided to give Wendy a call and I’m so glad I did. I found Wendy while on vacation in Maui. I wish I could have her here in California. She did the best tan I have ever had. No one could tell that I had gotten a spray tan instead of laying out in the sun everyday we were there. She’s very friendly and professional and VERY good at what she does. Her prices are very reasonable as well.
