Curbside Bites

Go Hawks! Oh wait… I meant, «Go Curbside Bites!»
Every Thursday from 5−8pm in the parking lot of Laguna Hills High School.
Directions: If you are entering the high school from Alicia Pkwy (from the south), then take a left at the stop light, enter, and make a right. If you’re entering from El Toro Rd (north side), then drive down Paseo De Valencia and make a right into the 1^st driveway after Stockport St (aka Laguna Hills Drive).
There were five food trucks, plenty of chairs, and empty stomachs everywhere. Last night there were Tri-​Tip Man, Me So Hungry, Louks Greek, Piaggio, and Fluff Ice food trucks.
So many choices. Sampled Tri-​Tip Man and loved it. The Veggie Medley burger listed on the Me So Hungry truck made me hungry. The Greek truck had some options. Piaggio had tacos (x2), burritos, quesadillas, and sliders (x2) that made me want to get all of them. Fluff Ice was in every child’s hand… so of course, we’re going to try it.
Ended up choosing the pulled pork sliders from Piaggio. I became a meat eater for a quick minute… thank goodness the two sliders were on King’s Hawaiian bread rolls because I don’t know if another bite would ruin my figure. I split my sliders. We also ordered the chimichurri fries. Piaggio had Pepsi cans, water bottles, or Coca-​Cola bottles (footlong).

Light dessert from Fluff Ice. Think ‘cold cotton candy.’ Flavors include: chocolate and Thai tea that have dairy; non-​dairy are peach, mango, strawberry; not sure about the taro flavor. Toppings are sprinkles, mango jelly, lychee jelly, condensed milk, and more. Be patient because they need to make it as you order it… very special treatment.
What a great way to mingle and try new dishes!

This is the second time for me here, came here with some friends and we get to enjoy the multitude of options for food here. Different food trucks every week on Thursdays, lots of stuff to try. They have a few chairs here but next time we’ll bring our own or even a table too, I’ve seen others doing just that. See yiu heee next Thutrsday!
