Joanne’s training in law and business helps her business clients.

I have lived in Lafayette almost 20 years. I am a proud mother of two sons. In addition to English, I can speak Mandarin Chinese and a little French. I am a member of 3 Professional Photography associations. My portraits and landscape photos won awards PPGBA.

I am also an oil painter, designer.

Joanne Tan is a force of nature! Feisty, highly intelligent, and deliberative, she brought to the table a unique set of experiences in business, marketing, law, and art with a passion for finding, defining and expressing my unique branding for my Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practice in Lafayette and San Ramon.
She then translated this into the development of a script and screenplay, a process that endured 7 or so revisions, each time sharpening, clarifying, and simplifying my branding message and enhancing the appeal for my demographic market.
I’m quite pleased with the final video, and it will use it preeminently for my website (benjamindieraufdotcom), facebook, and google+ business pages. It captures a well-​crafted professional, artistic, and marketable image that accurately portrays my business and personal brand.
I’ve also used Joanne for updating my professional branding headshot. Her many awards for her photography are well-​deserved, and I also plan to work with Joanne in the future to revamp and update my website and cyber-​presence.

I truly enjoyed Joanne’s approach to shooting my business portrait. She is warm and welcoming, she invites input, she works efficiently but not in a rushed manner, she works until she gets it right (she gets it right very quickly), and as an artist, she understands how light (natural and projected) plays on various complexions.
If you’re looking to upgrade your photos so that they match what you look like now instead of what you looked like 20 years ago (yeah.that was me), while still portraying you in the a very complementary way, give Joanne a call! I highly recommend her, and I won’t hesitate to return to her when the ravages of the sun and father time demand updated photos!

Joanne Tan took our pregnancy photos for our fifth child. Never did that before, but thought we would give it a try for fun. The session was fun and we decided to make a bit of a joke out of ourselves. Joanne was hilarious and added to the .mood we were trying to capture. She takes her time, but the product was great.

Joanne took a number of head shots for me. Different lighting, some standing, some sitting. She works to get the best light on your face and a sparkle in your eyes. I would definitely recommend her.

Joan’s photography is exquisite. The name of her site could easily be Photographic Poetry. Each image reads like a line from the Tao. I met Joan by accident, asking about the easel she was using, while painting near the Fisherman’s Warf. She was kind enough to not only tell me about her easel, but to put me in touch with her painting and photography. I am stunned to see images of sites I have visited from Paris to Guilin revealed in a magical light.
