History
Established in 1743.
Brittingham’s 2013 renovations have taken the marvelous history into full account while rebuilding. We’ve kept the thick, ancient walls, mullioned windows and some charming woodwork and nooks while creating modern spaces that accommodate a vibrant new sensibility.
It’s Brittingham’s goal to ensure this grand old Inn sees another 272 years of laughter, conviviality and welcome – starting today, with you.
Meet the Manager
Andrew F.
Manager
John Doyle joins the Brittingham’s team as the General Manager. A veteran restauranteur of 17 years, John grew up in the business. His family are the proprietors of Williamson’s restaurant, an iconic Montgomery County banquet facility. John was part of the opening management team at Pietro’s Prime in West Chester, but he has spent the last 11 years heading up the staff at Devon Seafood Grill in Rittenhouse. John’s love of craft beer and wine make for great conversation around the restaurant; but you won’t have to seek him out, he’ll be sure to drop by your table to say hello.
