Grabbed a late lunch here while in town. Okay food, average service, good beer menu, and reasonable prices. Place seems like it would be better to drink with some friends than to grab a quick bite. I ordered a side salad and some fries. Fries were too salty and the salad was basically lettuce, lettuce, and nire lettuce.

I ordered the small chicken parmigiana with potatoes and broccoli, great portion size(I couldn’t finish it). The chicken lacked flavor, which was disappointing because it was presented very nicely. The atmosphere was wonderful. A great place for lunch or dinner!

My friends and I went here for dinner one night. It was a Friday I believe. We were sat all the way in the back and ignored by our waitress. She took forever to come up to us. She was also pretty rude. The food was OK… nothing special. I would skip this place if I were you.

I’ve read some of these reviews and agree with many of them. The GAP is a nice place, condition of the building and inside is very good. Pleasant people, too. However, it does seem they are easily overwhelmed when private parties are there. Our service was terrible; seemed our party of six wasn’t important enough? Missing easy items, trouble finding our server; even paying the bill took 15 minutes. Really?

I would not refer anyone to this bar; go to southern cross or any other place in conshy. They do not seem to care about their retirement parties and the way they treat people. Should make the retiree feel special. At least the people should know customers names at a party. not like Going to a «cheers».

Menus are huge but none of the dishes ever really impress. The chili is pretty good though.

Recently went here for lunch on a Sunday with my girlfriend and just to preface, we were somewhat celebrating our purchase of some new living room furniture, so we went here with high spirits and a positive attitude. To say that our experience was sub-par would be generous. The place was fairly empty, but the server was so rushed in all her mannerisms, you would have thought it was a busy Friday night. But, hey, we thought, she may have lots of things to do, so we didn’t want to count that against her. I could complain about being sat next to the nasty little kitchen, which emitted non-appealing aromas the entire time, but since we didn’t ask to be moved, I won’t gripe too much about that. It was mainly the food. My girlfriend got the stir-fry, after the servers recommendation that it was a fairly light dish. Now stir-fry, in my opinion, is an exceptionally easy dish to nail. I have friends with the cooking skills of children that can whip up a mediocre stir fry. This stir-fry was so unbearably salty it was inedible. Since she simply couldn’t eat it, we asked the server to take it back. She apologized and recommended a grilled chicken salad so while we waited for that, I tried my fish tacos. Now, in the summertime, I crave some good fish tacos and get them frequently when I eat out. These were, hands down the worst ‘fish tacos’ I’ve ever tasted. It was quite literally a little bit of lame fish rolled up in a tortilla with guacamole. Served with, what I assume was, 3-day old tortilla chips and store bought salsa, which actually turned out to be better than the tacos. Then the salad came out and in the servers rush did not even linger long enough to ask how everything else was. As is turns out the ‘grilled chicken’ was very overcooked and dry. At this point we just wanted to get out of this place so we asked for our check and peaced out. Based on that experience alone, I would never eat here again nor would I recommend anyone else to.

This place is big! And each area brings a different atmosphere. Friendly attentive service. Just there for drinks so can’t comment on the quality of the food. Parking is metered street parking or the parking garage down the street.

Good location, good name, good atmosphere… Wed beer special… food was very average and service wasn’t that friendly. Had the Fish Tacos. Bartender said«good choice» but she must say that to everyone because they were below average. Come in for a beer(s) and move on food…

Standard gap. Nice outdoor seating setup. Good location in conshy. Homemade veg burger was mushy but very tasty.

I got the Cajun chicken sandwich which sadly was a flattened and very dry chicken breast with old bay seasoning. To be honest everyone else’s selection seemed like a better selection, my friend enjoyed the pizza he selected. Service was so/so and you had to ask the server for a refill or your plastic solo cup would remain empty. I have a problem taking a place serious if they won’t give you an actual drinking glass. It was my first time there, but there is outdoor seating which was nice because of the weather. I may go back for a drink sometime, but, it won’t be for the food.

Great American Pub is the spot I usually go to whenever I’m in conshohocken! I usually go to the phoenixville location but I believe they’re equally good when it comes to the quality of food! The service is always fast and I’ve always had a good time whenever I visit.

It was one of the few places that was opened late at night so my friend and I came here the first time for food. I was not expecting the food to wow me seeing how this is a bar. We ordered one of the soups which was good in taste and sizing. I was full enough to sleep soundly through the night. What surprised me was when we asked our waitress to split the check, she looked at us like this was a strange request. Maybe it is in the North. but anyhow, this was when I realized that I was lucky that back at home, we have superb southern hospitality. We came back the day after with a larger group of people and the waitress was very accommodating to us. There wasn’t a great selection of drinks so I went with a wheat beer. Overall, this restaurant was a nice place to hang out with friends and relax with some beers and finger foods.

You can’t visit Conshohocken without the Great American Pub. Has been here for years and is very well known. Gets crowded on the weekend. It’s a better bar than a restaurant, the food’s decent but there are better options around Conshohocken. Stick with the bar food — apps, burgers, fried foods. The only major criticism I would have is that the seating areas sometimes smell like really cheap pine sol or cleaning solution. I’m glad they keep the place clean but theres just a really odd odor sometimes. There’s also a really big upstairs section that’s used for private functions, events etc. Very nice.

Horrible service. We were seated right next to where their staff was rolling silverware. We heard them making fun of other staff members who were actually working, they were drinking alcohol(at 5:30pm), and discussing their trashy personal lives loudly. It was a huge turn off and we will definitely not return. We also had to go find someone to wait on our table after sitting there for 5 minutes. On top of this, the food was only okay. The Parmesan on the wings seems it was put on and then thrown in the microwave. The pizza was ok. The burger was dry and came with a side of about 8 chips. It was a disappointment to say the least.

At night this place pops off hard. Not my vibe. Lunch hours, however, is great for this place. The low-key atmosphere and delicious food keeps me coming back. There are some great servers here but on the flip-side I’ve had some that are kinda whack. Not a huge deal. I’ll suggest half off wings on Sunday. Love that. Sweet potato fries– biblical.

The dim lit, comfortable vibe of the Pub makes it a great casual spot to hit for lunch. The staff is mostly wonderful although we’ve had a bad egg or two. The food is straight up delicious. At night, it’s a little too hype for me but if you’re looking for a bar in a non-trash location, it’s probably where you want to go. A fun bonus: The location is historic as you’re eating in the building that housed Ruffhouse Records. This is a must-hit restaurant. My go to is the Bubba Chicken Sandwich with fries, which can only be rivaled by the fries around the corner at Boathouse.

I have visited The Pub dozens of times for drinks at the bar. This was my first visit for dinner. A friend and I decided to try the place during Conshohocken Restaurant Week. We visited on a Friday(9⁄19) and were promptly seated at a comfortable table. Our server, Joe M, was quick to take our drink order, and deliver my appetizer. I had the cheesesteak spring rolls, and they were amazing! Dinner was a burger with fresh cut potato chips, followed by the candy bar cake, which was very very good! All in all, this was a great meal, and I won’t wait so long to eat here the next time!
