Dr. Gray is a graduate of the University of California School of Dentistry at San Francisco, as well as a San Diego State University graduate. He’s been providing San Diego with high quality cosmetic and sedation dentistry for over 25 years. In addition to providing quality dental care for the La Mesa area, Dr. Gray is also a clinical instructor for the esteemed KOIS Center. He is one of the first dentists in the United States to use Sedation Dentistry and also one of the most experienced general dentists in the San Diego area using Invisalign clear braces. I love this dental office! I was recommended by a friend of mine and I am so happy with my experience this far. First, the office is relaxing and really puts you at ease (I have a small fear of dental work), the staff is always so friendly and put together. Second, I like that they use new technology– I was able to watch a video of my teeth and I was showed exactly what my problem spots were. Dr. Z is informative and explains things in a manner that I could understand. He is definitely my favorite dentist that I have seen so far.

I didn’t want to do a review for this until some time had passed, so here it goes. I had a six month smile braces done about a year and a half ago and it’s a different experience to have straight teeth for once. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied with, was the shaping of my teeth after the braces came off. There ended up being a big gap in my teeth at the gum level after the gum swelling went down. I went in to have them reshaped and assumed it would be covered under the original cost of having them shaped/​molded the first time, but I got charged extra. The redo of the shaping/​molding did not meet my expectations because they were shaped more like buck teeth. The reshaping of my teeth the second time also made my retainers fit less than perfect, but didn’t want to have those redone because, again, I knew I would be charged new fees for having them redone. I walked away after having my teeth whitened because I knew fees add up fast at this place. Everyone at his office are courteous and show a great smile and made me feel special.

They are so thorough! Andra did my cleaning and took her time. Dr. Gray is a very honest physician. I thought I needed more veneers replaced and he was honest and told me it could wait. Has fantastic!

My first time at this dentist office and my experience was wonderful. From the moment I walked in the door, usually I have allot of anxiety going to the dentist but they eased that for me. My hygienist was great and dr gray made it a point to come meet me and thank me for coming in. 5 stars all the way and I already booked my next appt.

I had a consultation for the first time in this office yesterday. It was one of the best dental experiences I have ever experienced! It did not feel like a dental office, very relaxed environment, with a really great staff! This was better than my experience at BMW or Mercedes. I didn’t want to leave! I loved it and I’m going to try and continue being a patient. I had the best teeth cleaning of my life. The only down fall is I have the worst dental insurance, everything would be out of pocket. Bummed about that!

I am a new patient with Dr. Gray and so far I love everything about this office. This first thing you notice about this place is that it doesn’t feel like a dentist office! If you have ever stepped into a high end spa that’s the feel you get. The exam chairs are memory foam, there are tvs and headphones for your use during treatment and there is even a relaxation room with a massage chair and a coffee bar! I think they try their hardest to stay away from the typical cold white dentist office look that everyone is used to. Regarding the staff… they are ALL so sweet! From the receptionist, to the hygienist and of course Dr. Gray, they are great. They all go above and beyond their roles to try and make you feel like family so much that I didn’t even want to leave after my treatment. And my absolute favorite part… they work with integrity!!! I have always hated my smile and have thought (and been told my other dentists) that the only way I will like the results are with veneers costing over $ 10k!!! I assumed that would be the same with Dr. Gray but it was completely different. He offered me a cost effective option first stating that while veneers were a great option they were cost restrictive and he felt I would love the results with crown lengthening and Invisalign, saving me thousands!!! I mean come on… what dentist would down sell me for my benefit rather than upsell me for his own… kudos Dr. Gray! I can’t wait to begin my treatment and I definitely see myself bringing my friends and family to Dr. Gray!!!

After years of neglecting my teeth, I went to see Dr. Gray for a free consultation. That was back in August. Between work and finances, I made the appointment for 3÷10÷2016. I never «shopped» around for a better price. When I first walked in their office and met his staff, team, I knew I picked the right place. There are certain things you do not try to find the cheapest price for; laser eye surgery, tattoo artist, a parachute packer, and a Dentist. You get what you pay for, and more. I have one more visit to finish up everything. In the meantime, my mouth feels GREAT! The pain level is well, what pain. If I knew it was going to be like this, I would have done this a long time ago.

Five stars, Five words: Painless Tooth Extraction Dr. Zermeno! From the friendly staff, state of the art technology, tools and practices, competitive fees, organization, cleaniness and professionalism of the entire team. This place is great! Makes you feel really comfortable, and will work with you and your insurance to make sure you don’t get screwed.
I highly recommend. This dentist was honest, I changed to here because my I felt my old dentist tried to «sell» me services I didn’t need. At Dr. Gary’s I was told directly what I should keep an eye on, what he recommend should be fixed and what not to worry about.
My Wife also got invisalign here, and she had a very good experience.

I took my mom couple months ago to get her tooth pulled. As soon as they gave her anesthesia, they pulled her tooth right away without waiting for the medicine to kick in. My mom said that she almost cried because it was so painful. My mom doesn’t complain much but this one she really did. Also, after everything was paid for they told us they were going to call to check up on my mom, they didn’t.

Nice place, very clean… but hold on to your wallet. These guys are very expensive and I feel like they slide extra charges in your bill. We have a VERY good PPO dental plan and these guys were not in network, so we were prepared to pay above what our insurance costs… but an EXTRA $ 140+ for a cleaning on top of what they insurance company paid. Another time I had 2 pretty simple cavities that I decided to have them take care of and when I got the bill I owed an additional $ 700 above what the insurance paid.
My family is done with these guys… their fees are definitely higher than what is generally accepted as ‘usual & customary.’

I love this office! I haven’t personally met Dr. Jeff Gray but Dr. Zermeno was my dentist and he is amazing! The staff in the front are so nice, the Dental Assistants are nice and knowledgeable, and Liz the financial lady rocks!
As a team they made my first visit easy going and stress free! Took the time to get to know me and to work with me! Will definitely recommend this office to anyone!
I had a filling, some composite fillings changed out, and some micro fillings sealed by Dr. Zermeno, and the whole process was easy. They took into account my issues and made everything as comfortable as possible! They called me that night to make sure everything was okay and even got me in the next day to fix my bite!
I love this office and will recommend them to anybody!!!

He saved my hurting tooth!
I went to a cheap dentist in Escondido and had a crown botched. 10 years/​4 try’s later no one could fix it. After my previous failed experiences I was referred to Dr Gray. No only did he fix the impossible tooth/​problems, but make me comfortable as well.
Best experience at a Dentist ever! I don’t even remember any pain or discomfort. Treated great by everyone and soooo worth it! Good health is priceless!

From the minute you walk into Dr. Gray’s office you know it isn’t a typical Dentist office. It feels like a spa experience for your teeth. Dr. Gray fixed a tooth ache that had bothered me since my last Dentist performed a root cannel about a year ago. My last dentist took 3 attempts to get it correct and Dr. Gray took care of it in the initial visit. I will be back and would recommend Dr. Gray to all my friends.
