This is the best experience in 27 years at any dental office. I had to have a root canal done after wisdom teeth and he was precise and gentle. The entire staff made me feel comfortable

I had a shadow on an X-​ray that indicated I needed retreatment of a root canal. It looked as if one of the roots had become infected. So my dentist sent me to Dr. Gavin, and I can’t express how glad I am that he did.
Dr. Gavin is professional and explains everything that you need to have done. The day I went in for the consult I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to delay the procedure for another few days. When I went back, Dr. Gavin said something had been bothering him about the way I described my symptoms. He suggested that I had a sinus inflammation/​infection that was causing the tooth pain, not the other way around.
I have been having sinus problems for a long time, even going to an ENT idiot who just told me to take Claritin. Dr. Gavin has put me on a 10-​day course of antibiotics and we’ll see if anything clears up.
Thank you! I am so appreciative to have someone who actually listens and thinks about the patient, not just the procedure.
He is a gem and while I never relish the idea of any oral surgery, I’m glad he is around just in case.

I just had a root canal done here on a tooth that’s been troubling me for over a year and had been attributed to other causes. It was apparently a pretty bad situation, because Dr. Gavin had to put in a disinfectant for a week. Then, it still hurt when I chewed, so he left it alone for 2 more weeks to give it time to heal before sealing it up.
I appreciated his attention to detail as evidenced above. He also made sure to tell me what he was doing with each step. For instance, he told me he was going to numb me and he was jiggling my upper lip to make the needle less painful.
I also appreciated the fact that Dr. Gavin always had minty-​fresh breath when he worked on me.
His staff is super nice and treated me sort of like a long-​lost niece. They were always concerned with my comfort and well-​being.

I was referred to this specialist for a root canal. my past experiences with RC are not great. this one was fantastic, all things considered. friendly, caring staff and a dentist with a soft touch. I’m numb way back to ears. :) I was impressed with the advances in xrays, too. a simple lens that is connected to the computer so the image appears instantly. the entire procedure was quick and painless.

I couldn’t refer a better specialist, especially if you’re someone who gets anxiety just thinking about the dentist. I wish I could make them my primary. It’s a cute and personable office. As informed, Dr. Gavin is very gentle and not to mention great at what he does! He knows his stuff and talks you through the process (of a root canal that is). I was in so much pain before my procedure so I was a little fearful going in. However, I was made comfortable from beginning to end for every visit. They are informative, warm and friendly staff, organized and professional. They were quick to schedule me, I didn’t wait long when I arrived and they numbed me up right away to get the process going. The music playing in the background was helpful too! The equipment may not be the latest but it does the job just fine. I can’t say much about rates because this was my first experience with insurance. but honestly, all seems fair if you get quality service and leave pain free! Thanks to each of the staff (Nancy and Jeanette) for being especially attentive and sweet. This place deserves the recognition. I had a surprisingly good experience.

Dr. Gavin has done both of my 2 root canals. Just found out I need another, and wouldn’t go anywhere else! This guy is not just a dental professional – he is an honorable man. My 1^st root canal (an upper molar) started going sideways a week after it was over. Apparently, my teeth don’t like to heal in an uncomplicated fashion. Dr. Gavin helped me fight the 2 bouts of infection and never gave up. The 2^nd procedure was even more challenging – again, after the fact. At the time, I had no insurance and paid cash for the initial procedure. My tooth (another upper molar) started bothering me about a week later. I must stress: there is zero pain when Dr. Gavin operates! Either during, or immediately afterwards. Irregardless, my molar started acting up again. Dr. Gavin went in again, this time from above – through the gumline and cleaned out the canals. He charged me zero dollars, for this complex surgery that involved gumline sutures, etc. When it still didn’t take, he went in a month later (again through the gum) to figure out why. He diagnosed a crack in one of the molar’s 3 roots. Announcing «we’re gonna shift gears here, just a bit,» he explained that he was going to cut away the cracked root and bring the tooth back to health. And he did just that. And again, charged me zero dollars. I hope this gentleman lives forever. Or at least until I’m done with the planet.

This place is AMAZING! Nothing terrifies me more than the dentist and when I got referred here i was TERRIFIED! The front staff was completely comforting and very humble. They always make you feel like you are safe and taken care of. From beginning to end I felt ZERO pain and had a wonderful experience (even for a root canal!) would recommend it to anyone!

Dr. Gavin performed a root canal on my tooth this morning and now that the numbness has worn off I’m feeling great, no pain at all. He is quick at administering the anesthetic — and I usually am difficult to numb — and I was numb to the eyeballs in no time. Absolutely no pain and he was fast! This guy knows what he’s doing…
