Prettiest views in la jolla! Brunch is excellent here, especially with $ 1 refills on mimosas. I ordered the egg white scramble, which was surprisingly very filling. Super delicious and great portions also. Views were amazing, service was superb, and food and drinks were just as great!

Had a fantastic brunch experience at CUSP! We really enjoyed everything from the food, atmosphere and of course, the amazing La Jolla views. I love that every table has a view and its a combination of city and ocean. Really unique! We ordered various brunch dishes. Chilaquiles with eggs, steak hash and pork belly panini. They were all delicious, with the pork belly panini being my personal favorite. Such great flavors! The smoothie I had was with kale and fruit, fantastic. We already made reservations for Father’s Day, my dad really enjoyed his first time there! A few things that weren’t perfect though… We were celebrating two birthdays and told them twice, they didn’t bring out a candle or anything :(First time at a restaurant where this happens. Also, the waiter was cordial but wouldn’t say he was great, and there weren’t many people there. But hey, looking forward to take two and trying the strawberry crème brûlée french toast!

Breakfast and brunch here are great and people don’t know about it so it is really relaxed and with a great view. It is super romantic as well if you get a table next to the window. The chilaquiles are my favorite and if you want more brunch get the burger is really good!

This place, in a word, is just wonderful. Everything about it makes you feel relaxed and carefree. Bartender Yohan is the best. So attentive and friendly. The views are romantic and the interiors are perfect. I loved everything about it and can’t wait to go back.

Great view, great drinks and friendly staff. The bartender, Eric, was sweet and very personable. I would definitely come back if I’m ever in town.

When you come off the elevator you’re met with an amazing view over all of La Jolla. Scotch selection was the best and I enjoyed an 3 wood Auchentoshan and my wife had one of their speciality drinks. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife and I agreed it was one of the better meals we had in a long time. I had the Sea Bass. Big piece of fish matched with shrimp, mussels and polenta in a hot dish. You won’t be disappointed. My wife had the special, a shrimp dish, which made her day. Our server was friendly and attentive. Great spot with a view, go check it out!

We went here for double date night before heading up the hill to the La Jolla Playhouse. Definitely on the pricier side(not unexpected in La Jolla) but the food was delicious and the view was awesome. We started with oysters and the ceviche. Everything was fresh and tasty. For entrees, we shared the pappardelle bolognese and the beef cheeks. I would definitely come back. and their happy hour looks great!

Finally came to cusp for brunch. You cannot beat the 11th floor dining view. The food is above average. I would highly recommend The server, Britney. She was very attentive and friendly. Also the mimosas are basically bottomless because refills are only $ 1!!! Key selling point for a La Jolla brunch spot. If you are in the area definitely go to cusp and get Britney as your server. Crucial.

I’ve been meaning to write a review about this place and feel bad I haven’t yet! My fiancé and I live down the street from here and were disappointed in the bad service. Lucky for us, a little birdie told us it was under new management so we gave Cusp a second chance. Their service is outstanding now! We bring our friends and family all the time for happy hour to overlook La Jolla. We even celebrated our engagement there and they all congratulated us and gave us champagne to celebrate. We really felt special on our momentous occasion. It’s become a regular spot for us to bring our friends after work. Very happy with the change!

Happy hour was nice! Food was decent 3 stars, view is amazing. We came here for quick grub after a biz meeting in La Jolla. Happy hour 3−7pm in the bar area only. All the tables in the bar area is not close to the floor to ceiling window, so our view was obstructed. It was a very nice sunset and people dining in the restaurant were all enjoying that. We ordered a couple of small plates on the HH menu to share. Food came out pretty fast. The portions are very very small, so we had to order 10 plates between the 2 of us. The lamb kebob $ 5 was only 1 single very small kebob with 3 small pieces of lamb meat and it was very dry and very hard. We also ordered 3 orders of the chicken caesar flatbread, which was also tiny, but tasted better than the kebob. The veggie chips were very oily, greasy and lack any flavor. Service was very spotty. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is $ 3 with restaurant validation, valet only at the hotel.

Average food with low quality service. I came in on a Wednesday night to a space only occupied about fifty percent yet still had to wait almost an hour for our food to come to our table. Hopefully these guys get better, I had three bites of my sea bass and the waiter never got the hint that it was crap, he just wanted to take my plate and give me the bill.

Went here for Restaurant Week last September. The view was super nice, great customer service, but the food was just okay. We had: Appetizers: Grilled Octopus– it wasn’t great at all. The flavors didn’t really go well together Calamari– it was just okay. Nothing special about it. Mussels– they were good! The only appetizer that my friends and I actually liked. Entrée: Red Wine Braised Beef Cheeks– Both of my friends had this entrée. The beef was tender, but one of my friend’s vegetable side dish was extremely salty that she didn’t eat it. The manager was nice enough to give her a complimentary baked cheesy cauliflower which was decent, but for some reason it was watery. Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo– It was good, but nothing to write about really. I can make the same exact dish at home. Desserts: They were just okay also. Lol. If you wanna go for the view, come here! But the food is just mediocre. I don’t think I would be back even if it’s for restaurant week.

WTF?! No more huevos rancheros??! I brought out-of-towners here for brunch specifically for the huevos and it is no longer on the menu. Luckily, they had chilaquiles, which was a delicious stand-in, a phenomenal side of sausage, delicious freshly squeezed OJ, great coffee, great mimosas, a bad a$$ view, and the coolest servers… but I cannot give the fifth star with good conscience until they bring the huevos rancheros back. Bring it back. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday and we’re very pleased with the attentive staff. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, the flavors were there but it was a little bit on the soggy side. My husband mentioned it to the general manager, as he kept checking on us and he kept asking our thoughts on every dish we had to make sure we were happy at all times(which we thought was amazing). The general manager took it off of our bill and replaced it with another appetizer. This is the type of service you should expect at a nice restaurant that does the right thing. So it made us very happy because you can tell that all of the staff members go above and beyond to ensure their guests are happy. I would definitely recommend this place and we are definitely coming back here again.

This was an unexpected gem. After kayaking, we sought out some good Mediterranean food. Unilocal to the rescue. Cusp was about a 10 minute walk. We were starving, walked by a lot of great restaurants but were set on our destination, despite not knowing what we were really getting ourselves into. Walked into the lobby of the hotel and rode the elevator to the 11th floor. Opened up to a small bar area and then to the dining room, with an open kitchen and view overlooking the water. We were right on time to watch the sunset. The menu was a little pricey, but well worth the cost. The cocktails were excellent as well. It was hard to choose what to get, each entrée sounded better than the next. My friends ordered the chicken entrée and I got two of the appetizers the grilled octopus and the mussels. Everything was very tasty. Oh! And if I recall her name correctly our waitress Josie was incredible. So shout out to her! If you’re looking for a view and great food you’ll find it here!

Very cool hotel restaurant, valet only, inside a nice hotel in la jolla. Great service, the bar opens an hour before the restaurant and there is a happy hour. Excellent view and good menu! The view from the ladies’ bathroom is amazing oddly enough, lol. Girls, even if you don’t have to pee you must go to the restroom for the spectacular view. Highly recommend the pork belly appetizer and the sangria.

This is the brunch mimosa toastings, burrito wrap, french fluff, potato face feeding, coffee pouring locations of super fun time dining in the local beach view areas of La Jolla San Diego Californications. We came here knowing we were in for an absolute treat, and we were burning inside for tender meat and sweet juices to start our morning weekend just right. We were greeted by the ever so generous and kind waitress Erin who listed nothing but great treats and sweets for our desire to get inebriated but also stuffed with gorgeous lovely fresh cooked meat and sweets. We had the mimosa which was squeezed and juiced fresh into our glass, that just was an absolute delight for our mouths and throats. It went down so smooth and tenderly we had to continue to keep ordering more and more for only $ 1 more! We didnt even have to ask for refills, they just kept coming and coming just like we did with every mouthful of the magically prepared elixir that kept us continuously blitzed to perfection during the entire dining extravaganza experience. Now we asked for suggestions and we decided on making our own choice with the stuffed french toast, the toast was stuffed with a magical white creamy load of heaven! The plate was covered in moist juicy cream and the toast was so tender and wet, it was just absolutely to die for! The strawberries on top was just what the doctor ordered and mixed with the man made fluffy white dripping cream, it was just heaven on earth for your mouth! yummmmmmm The waitress suggested what was my absolute favorite item the entire day that I had in my mouth and throat. The wet burrito! Wow this is super wet, extra juicy, meat for your mouth, that is just perfection wrapped up in a tender skin of fluffy flour that just is like a pillow of perfection that your tongue and mouth can never get enough of! When my fork penetrated this magical wet juice I knew I was in for an absolute delight. The meat was so tender and soft, the second I saw the juice ooze out, I had to shovel all the contents into my gaping mouth hole as soon as I could, and I could just not get enough of it in my mouth at once! If you go experience this magical location, you absolutely positively must get this wet dripping pillow of meat mound in your mouth and throat, it’s just perfection to die for! The coffee here was great, there was no alcohol in it unfortunately, but that’s why you double fist this jawn and get the coffee mixed with the mimosa so that you can deep throat both liquids into an inebriated heavenly bliss to cloud 9 in the morning hours to start your day off to a divine path of perfection. There was more than enough meat and dripping sauces for our stomachs to consume as the portions were more than generous, even though we were burning in our loins the entire day for this mother load of fun in our face and mouth! If you really are soul searching for that magical elixir to wash down a throat full of tender juicy meat topped with a juicy red wet strawberry dipped in white man made creams, look no further and be sure to ask for Erin as she will keep you coming with the pour after pour after pour of magical mimosa elixirs made from the milk of magnesia in heaven above… wow what an experience for you whole body, mind, and spirit… truly a feast for the gods

I’ve been in a couple times now for breakfast. While I haven’t been completely blown away by the food or drinks, it is a nice view while enjoying your meal, which is why I’m being generous with a 4 star instead of a 3 star review. This past Sunday we came in to celebrate Father’s Day a week early. Part of our party was late so we started of with drinks and a breakfast flat bread as we waited. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and it just was no bueno… too much Worcestershire sauce for me. When our waiter asked if it was to my liking, I told him no and he gladly added more tomato juice & vodka to it. He brought it back to me and it still wasn’t that tasty. He asked if it was better, but I’m not a big complainer at meals, so I lied and said yes. A third request later was for some more ice for my drink. I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it.(he later comped the drink off our bill) The breakfast flat bread was yummy. It came with chorizo, arugula, eggs, & cheese. It arrived cut into 8 pieces, so it was very easy to share. Our meals were 2 make your own omelettes. You can chose 3 items off their list. One of the omelettes was spinach, goat cheese, & mushroom… very yummy. The other was, ham, mushroom, & spinach, also was good. They came with a side of potatoes. We also got the Hash Steak & eggs, I didn’t try but looked nice and was presented in a skillet. There was also an order of Pancakes topped with strawberries, bananas, & whipped cream. I got the Monte Cristo… its like a SD Fair item: Batter fried around turkey & cheese. I felt that it had more batter and less filling in it this time, verse the last time I got it. It comes with a tomato jam, but I got it with Maple syrup instead. The meal really wasn’t that amazing, but it was decently priced. Like I stated earlier, the view is what gets Cusp the 4 stars from me… without the view, a solid 3.

Gorgeous, BREATHTAKING view! If you’re looking for a beautiful, romantic spot to enjoy a meal with a loved one, head to Cusp. The tables at the restaurant are all set to face towards an incredible view of La Jolla. Cusp, located on the 11th floor of Hotel La Jolla, provided a wonderful Easter brunch for the bf and I. For $ 45, we filled ourselves up with delicious brunch favorites like pancakes, bacon and chorizo benedict, while also enjoying some unique options like ceviche, mushroom ravioli, ratatouille and poached salmon. Everything was delicious. Instead of having an omelette station, there was a slip of paper at our seat that gave us the opportunity to fill out our omelette preferences and the chefs made them in the kitchen. This was also the case for prime rib. We wrote down how many pieces we wanted and they were brought to our table. Naturally, we decided to add on bottomless mimosas for $ 15. Worth it! My glass was never empty. Overall, I’d recommend this restaurant for any of those special occasions in life! The view was incredible and the food was equally wonderful!
