Got delivery earlier today around 1:00 and the food came within 30 minutes. The food was fresh and piping hot and he didn’t forget my condiments either. The delivery guy was friendly and very nice and even closed my door for me. I ordered their kung pao chicken and orange chicken both extra spicy and but were pretty mild. Maybe next time I’ll note that I’m Asian and they’ll make it spicier, haha. Will be ordering again in the future!

Service was horrible, food Not good! I guess we got what we paid for– cost low. Better Chinese food not too far away at Yang’s or New China in Whittier. Now if you don’t mind having Chinese food without pork–«Ma’s Islamic Chinese food in Anaheim!

We went here with some family and it was great! Four people, lots of food and the bill only came to $ 50.00. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. Services was fast, professional and very friendly. We just move into the area and I think we found our new favorit Chinese food restaurant. Thank you, «Oriental Chinese Restaurant» We will be back.

Best orange chicken, and healthy-tasting Moo-Shu. Will continue to order. Minor inconvenience as they forgot plum sauce with Moo-Shu order. Oh, well.

Thanks to Unilocal reviews we decided to try this place and ordered it for home delivery. To our surprise the delivery time was prompt and the food was good except for their egg flower soup. I am still a fan and would try it again due to the fried rice, chicken chow mien, kung pao chicken, and egg rolls being delicious.

I recently ordered for delivery for the 1st time and i realized afterwards that they did not ask for my name or return #. I didnt think I was going to have a good experience. I was so surprised/delighted when food arrived in 20 min. Also when my hubby paid, he accidentally over paid by 20 bucks(moran). The delivery guy came back and returned overpayment!!! Fast, efficient, good, and honest. I definitely will order again and recommend to others.

It’s sad when you see a local place like this just totally take a nose dive. It used to be Sheng Hwa, that was the peak of the food quality and taste. Once it was sold several years ago and renamed Oriental Chinese Restaurant, the food was noticeably different but still good. I have a feeling the management or ownership changed hands recently(last 2 – 3 years) because the prices have increased, and the food has gone down hill. Everything is so so sweet, no umami flavor and hardly any spice. I doubt I’ll be back when I know there’s Red Lantern in Brea that is significantly better.

There are so many Chinese takeout places near my house in Fullerton but I prefer the 15 to 20 minute drive to get takeout here because it’s that good. Things I’ve tried: Orange chicken — perfectly crispy and unlike other places, more meat than breading. Orange beef — crispy thin strips of beef orange chicken style(my favorite dish) Pan fried noodles — not what I expected. They give you a takeout box of crispy noodles and a separate sauce/veggie/meat container so it doesn’t get soggy on the drive. It’s pretty delicious. Assorted vegetables– I love that they put baby corn in it, most places I’ve gone to dont. The sauce it’s in is light and tasty. General Tao chicken — my boyfriends favorite. Kind of like orange chicken but spicier instead of citrusy. Nice chunks of chicken, not that meat mixture crap like some places use for their orange chicken. Only downside is no veggies and I like some pepper and onion… asking for it is always awkward and they only offer to put a side of bell pepper and onion… um ok? Chow mein — pretty good, can’t say much because I’ve never been a fan of chow mein. Walnut shrimp– another favorite. Sauce isn’t too rich. Better portion size than some places… and that goes for all of their food. Free steamed rice with entrée orders. Not the fastest takeout but they’re usually pretty good about being punctual. Employees are polite, professional and courteous, can’t ask for much more. I have never dined in here, but the inside is much nicer than what you’d expect from looking at the outside of the building. Their dining set up and chair covers and décor makes the inside feel like a much swankier restaurant.

What can you expect from a not so great looking place right on Whittier Blvd? GREAT food. GREAT service. GREAT! We’ve gone back 3 times and tried different items on their extensive menu. Each time we were pleased with the freshness and generous portions. Ok. their Spring Rolls aren’t the best but just wait till you taste the main course items. Parking is easy and the service is quick. It is clear to see that the owners want repeat customers. Go…

So disgusting. Came here a few years back and it was pretty decent. Today I went back and almost threw up! Chow mein was tasteless, rice was dry, chicken was hard and tasted like they just put bbq sauce on it. never coming back here again!

Damn, damn, damn… My craving for fried rice led me to this place. I decided to order the fried rice and orange chicken based on previous reviews. The orange chicken was crispy and coated in a delicious, citrus-infused glaze. Very delicious! The fried rice on the other hand… Bland is an overstatement. It was literally rice tossed with soy sauce! No egg, carrot or peas. Very disappointed in that, but not enough to let it sour my experience. The orange chicken was delicious enough to overcome the fried rice’s shortcomings. Maybe they ran out of ingredients to make the fried rice. Maybe they had an off night. Maybe this is their shitty version of fried rice? Whatever the case… Their orange chicken is good enough to bring me back for another try. I’ll be sure to update the review if the fried rice is better next time.

I am not being generous on this 5 star review, they earned it. Service was spectacular. Very friendly and attentive. Food was hot, fresh, full of flavor and delicious. Ambiance is a cross between Italian fine dining décor with a Chinese influence. For a party of 8 we spent less then $ 100 with our bellies full and satisfied. Great job keep it up.

Ok portions. Great family meals. I cant enjoy after a few bites because most of the food is too salty.

I give them 1 stars because they care about hot food. I rarely eat inside, we always do take out and it’s always hot. Today tried Yang’s Seafood Fantasy– I was worried the wine sauce would be too creamy or fatty. It was not. It was seasoned to perfection and even added little chili sauce. Yet half way Thru found an insect floating.

I’m no expert… But I love all kinds of Chinese food. I’ve only ordered delivery and it always come fast and fresh. Nothing tastes like its been sitting out — great dumplings, awesome green beans, their pork-fried rice is my favorite. I have not explored a great deal of the menu mainly because I always end up ordering the same thing — it works!

We continue to order delivery because this place has not disappointed. I always order orange chicken. It’s crispy and has just the right amount of every taste. I can’t compare to anywhere else because it’s the best I’ve had. My wife likes the orange beef, it’s great also, but I like the chicken. I’m glad they deliver for lazy days!!!

I’ll describe my dinner tonight– Hot braised fish filets. It’s STUPIDGOOD. Moo shoo chicken. Ridiculously TASTY. Vermicelli Singapore style noodles was curry flavored and contained bbq pork, chicken, and shrimp. Was pretty good except the shrimp was overcooked and I would’ve preferred beef over the bbq pork. The last dish I tried was the Beef w/spicy garlic sauce. This was my least favorite. It was ok but not as spicy as I thought it’d be and it contained julienned red and green bell peppers. The total for all 4 dishes came to $ 45. The food overall was really good but just a little bit pricier for Chinese food. Would definitely be back!

I wish I could give another half star, because the food was good(deserves 3.5 stars), but not«above and beyond» good to deserve four stars. Anyway, it was 7:45 pm and my bf and I were having a Chinese food craving attack but were too lazy to go out, so we placed a delivery order at the Oriental Chinese Restaurant near our house. We got an order of Mongolian beef, sauteed fish fillet w/vegetables, and a large order of vegetable soup. The soup is a brothy soup with a lot of vegetables, the beef was tender with a lot of delicious grilled onions, and the fish and vegetables had a generous serving of fish. What I really liked was that the soup & fish dish tasted clean(i.e. no excessive use of corn starch, which is ubiquitous in Chinese food) and not too salty. The beef, which was cooked in sauce, was more on the salty side, but the complimentary rice that came with the entrees helped tone down the saltiness. We placed our order at 7:45 as mentioned, and by 8:03 the delivery guy was at the door. By the way, they offer free delivery with any order greater than $ 10 and within a 5 mile radius. I will definitely order more from them in the future because the service was so expeditious.

Placed and order for delivery Friday night at 8:30pm, by 10p we still did not receive our food. We called the restaurant and a waitress named Vivi who took our order said that she forgot to submit the order. Therefore, she offered 2 free egg rolls for the inconvenience. Then she responded ‘Why are you making such a big deal, I offered you 2 free egg rolls.’ then further continued by laughing. Worst restaurant, worst customer service, unprofessional, unethical. Do Not eat this restaurant!

Good food & lunch specials. Servers are nice & sweet. Vivian is the manager and she was very helpful, attentive and made sure customers were ok with everything. Food here is very good with options to get fried rice for lunch specials no added cost. Will definitely come back here again to eat.

Flew in from Mexico Christmas day and needed to cater a dinner in w/guests; I found this place a block away from the house. I wasn’t expecting much since it was the only game in town but man… oh man, this place did everything right. Well done, banquet-style Chinese joint executing all the classics well. I needed to feed 6 adults and 2 kids so I ordered the po po appetizer platter + house fried rice and combo noodles + beef, shrimp, and pork dishes. All delicious and none over salted /msg’d. They were busy as heck but customer service was smooth and clinical, pick up was ready in 25 minutes. This one’s a sleeper folks. Go get you some oriental Chinese in La Habra, 5 stars.
