History

Established in 1995.

I worked for a contractor for 10 years. At point business got so slow that I was let go. It was then that I started my own business and did all different kinds of jobs. I painted, did plumbing, electrical work, kitchen & bathroom remodeling and almost anything anybody needed help with. I’ve continued to welcome a variety of jobs and it’s been a pleasure working with all my clients, new and old.

We can’t recommend Movses more. He put in a dishwasher, garbage disposal, and new faucet for us today, and couldn’t have been better. Neat, personable, and absolutely knows what he’s doing. Will definitely have him back.

Movses showed up on time (for a same day appointment), did the work properly the first time (he fixed our chandelier that was falling down), and charged much less than I was expecting. I will definitely use his services in the future.

I called Movses and asked him if he can strap my water hitter to the wall. (It is a easy job-​I just don’t have appropriate tools for that and I am a single mother) He told me he will charge me $ 250.00 for strapping my water hitter. I called another handyman in la crescent area they said $ 80.00 labor. I hired them instead of hiring this unprofessional handyman that want to charge me 250.00. Shame on you. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Well… I called him, made an appointment, confirmed the date and time, and guess what… he didn’t show up. He didn’t even call to cancel, reschedule, or apologize! Total waste of my time waiting for him on a weekend! It amazes me how some people say NO to money! Poor timekeeping is worse than a job poorly done. Respect others time!

I will definitely ask Mouses and his partner Matt to come back. They were flexible, creative, and did great work in a timely way — everything I asked for, even though I had to change the details of what I was asking them to do when they showed up for the first of two days of work because of some planning issues on my part (basically I wasn’t quite ready to do what we had talked about, and we went with a Plan B, which didn’t phase them at all).
They even did some custom woodwork for a window that needed a specially-​sized and –shaped exterior moulding. They took measurements on day 1, asked for the kind of wood they needed, I went out and got it, and they took it home to plan and cut. They brought the custom moulding back the next day (along with the extra wood that they didn’t use) and installed it. It came out looking really great, and is a massive improvement. They were able to improvise in this way to great effect — real problem-​solvers.

I have used The Handyman La Crescenta twice. The first time to rebuild an old porch, looks better than new, the most resent was last week (water heater emergency) and once again I am totally happy with the service, price and help. Movses (Moses) was willing to come to my home as many times as I needed. He was always kind and very patient with our requests. We made changes and he never complained.
Most importantly he left my home as clean or cleaner than when he arrived. He is local and they completed the project/​projects ahead of schedule. That is worth an extra star.

AWESOME!!! These guys are great! I hired the Handyman La Crescenta (sorry forgot his name) to do several jobs in my house including hanging of 2 ceiling fans, repair of large cabinet door, and some minor electrical work. He came with his father and got the job done very very well. They took every effort to help me to save as much money as possible without taking any kinds of shortcuts. I would definitely recommend these guys to just about everyone I know. BTW he has lots of experience in general construction and can probably handle just about anything.
