So it was finally my turn to go and see Dr. Pratte for a root canal. I had sent my mom and husband previously. He is amazing. His shots don’t hurt and he made me laugh in the chair.

If only I could give 100 stars! This doctor and his staff are terrific. I look forward to every single one of my appointments! Everybody that works in office is so nice and helpful. Plus there is no wait time and the doctor is always on time! Dr. Pratte’s work is painless and makes even root canals feel like a breeze!

Worst Dental experience ever… Don’t let the Swanky La Canada address, the feng shui feel of the office or Dr. Pratte’s good looks fool you… This guy is terrible. My first red flag should have been when he told me jokingly before inflicting me with the worst pain ever experienced at a dentist «I am not into torture» I beg to differ Dr. Pratte, perhaps you are which would explain why you unnecessarily injected me with carbocaine multiple times with the last injection being given to me with absolutely no warning and no topical for that matter. It was a scene right out of «The Marathon Man» (for those of you too young to remember the Marathon Man trust me this is not a good reference– check it out on you tube– search Marathon Man Dentist Scenes– not pretty) My second red flag should have been after my first appointment calling the office to let them know I was in pain and very swollen after 3 days, essentially Dr. Pratte blew me off and told his staff to tell me to call my regular (referring) dentist for assistance in dealing with my pain and symptoms even though Dr. Pratte is the one that caused me the pain and swelling in the first place. In addition to all this on my second visit Dr. Pratte much to my dismay involved me in a game of musical dental chairs going from room to room working on multiple patients at a time. My advice to all my fellow human beings is this: Next time save your time, money, pain and frustration and seek out another Endodontics Practice, I recommend Root Endo in Glendale. Wishing you all well and hoping you never have to experience what I did.

Dr. Pratte is great. I had been experiencing a severe tooth ache and my dentist referred me to Dr. Pratte because we suspected I would need a root canal. Dr. Pratte’s office got me in right away. I was assessed and 20 minutes later he was able to begin the root canal so that I would not have to be in pain over the weekend. (It was a Friday.) The procedure was painless. The office staff and the assistants were all wonderful. The whole experience was as near perfect as you can get.

Never felt any pain at all. This guy is amazing and I recomend him to anyone. I was very nervous about having my root canal retreated, but I didnt feel one thing. Also, it turned out my tooth could not be saved and the doctor ended up only charging me for one office visit, even though he took multiple xrays, saw me 3 times, and did a ton of work. This guy is honest, professional, and super chill. He uses a microscope so he is very precise. If you need a root canal, go to this Doctor!

I suppose the service is fine– I haven’t had a problem with any of Dr Pratt’s work.
But the office staff is never nice, friendly or helpful.

Amazing DDS seriously. Ive had rootcanals done 2 years ago by this horrible dentist who did not find all my canals and gave me infections. I luckily fohnd Dr. Prette and decided to come here (and it was really close to my house too). I was so shocked at the way he treated his patients. I almost felt uncomfortable (in a good way obviously) because he actually took time to get to know his patients. He let me vent out my frustrations from my previous procedures and listened to what i had to say. And his first treatment was so quick it was literally less than 10 minutes. So overall i had a great experience with Dr Pratte.
(The only downside is that you have to wait about 30 minutes after he numbs you.)

I love Dr. Pratte! I’ve had multiple procedures done by him. Job always well done. The only complaint I’ve ever had, is the hesitance he seems to have to prescribe pain meds. But for the most part I didn’t end up needing them. Having problematic teeth fixed, is what I had hoped for, and what I got. Staff was friendly, and his music selection while working on my teeth was funny and I was tempted to laugh a couple times, which isn’t a bad feeling while getting a root canal. Overall, I would totally (and have) recommend him. Very nice guy, and solid expert of his craft. 5 stars all the way.

I’m updating my review for this dental office because they misinformed me. So I had two root canals done here and no one ever specified that I would have to get a permanent filling on those two teeths from my general Dentist. The doctor didn’t tell me anything nor did the staff. But of course they «claim» they did. The only reason I found out that j needed a permanent filling was because I went to go get Invisalign from an orthodontist and she asked me why those weren’t closed up? She said that would just cause my teeth to get infected again for months and months my two root canals were left open! I called my general dentist and they even said the dental office didn’t tell them anything and that they were shocked. Horrible communication! Horrible!

Had a root canal done here about 6 months ago. Was extremely nervous, but to my surprise, I felt NO pain and it was extremely fast! Nice doctor and nice staff.

Complete waste of time. Verified over the phone and then I take a day off, drive all the way up, wait an hour, and they say it’s going to cost double what they told me over the phone… Great service. The whole process was awful. Short review but definitely to the point.

I had the biggest pain on my right side of my face I went to this doctor he did the test he said the nerve died that’s why had the biggest pain. So I needed to do root canal. He was the best doctor didn’t feel anything no pain nothing. I recommend him to everyone.

I would like start my comment by saying Dr. Pratte is a very talented and gifted Endodontist. The complete practice and staff are exceptional. If having to have a root canal is heading your way, this is where to have it performed. The only minor and probably trivial one thing missing, for me, is a follow up call after the procedure. It’s just that little extra that makes you feel their concern continues afterwards.

Dr. Pratte and his staff are wonderful! I was an emergency patient and visibly upset. The staff was very kind & I received hugs from them! Dr. Pratte is VERY gentle and excellent at what he does. I would only trust him to handle this procedure.

I highly recommend Dr. Pratte, an excellent endodontist, who saved my tooth and it was pain free! I can speak from experience since I’ve had a lot of dental work and several root canals. Dr. Pratte’s entire staff is professional, calming and caring. I am very thankful for Dr. Pratte’s top notch work, I give him100+ stars!

Quality treatment!
Office is Zen’d out!- Calming, Meditative. Comfy Couches. Potted plants. Am I in a Dental office? Or in a Spa in Sedona?
Front desk staff is «sorta» friendly though in all honesty they could be a little nicer given that the endodontist is already such a scary place for so many of us!
Rooms are also very Zen.
Restroom is clean and smells good.
Plenty of parking overlooking the 210 freeway.
The main reason to come here is Dr. Pratte.
He is reserved and focused on his work but does not seize to be friendly and informative. We talked about my «soon-​to-​be living on a student budget» and he explained to me that it was not smart to purchase a dental plan unless it came as part of your work/​student benefits. He shared his expertise in for the cost and the deductible did not amount to much savings at the end of the day in effect may even turn out to be more costly. I really appreciated this information. As a woman coming into her own in the world, maneuvering around insurance companies and management companies and taxes and such; it’s always nice to get this kind of advice from a professional in the field!
Dr Pratte was also fortunate to drill into my mouth and undo an old root canal. I was heavily medicated (which helped a lot)! He was fast and efficient. And did not take longer than necessary in drilling and probing into my mouth.
I am going to give this office 5 stars (and give them the benefit of the doubt) though my one BIG complain is that I was there for over an hour between the time they injected me with the anesthesia and the time the Dr actually came to work on my tooth. I know you are supposed to wait for the medication to take effect, but i feel like i waited a little too long. Though in their defense, they did fit me into their schedule when i got a same day appointment, and i did get great service from the Doctor and the staff during my visit.

I would give Dr. Pratte 10 stars if they were available to give. I was in excruciating pain for a day and a half and knew I needed a root canal. My dentist recommended Dr. Pratte. I have a very busy schedule and since this pain happened so fast I called around 2 pm hoping I would get and appt. maybe tomorrow. So I was very happy when they asked me if I could come same day at 5:30 !!! Long story short. Anesthesia took about 45 minutes, he was done in about 20 !! Staff very friendly and showed me pictures of what the procedure would entail. I was very relaxed, no pain or discomfort !! I would definitely recommend this wonderful doctor to anyone needing a root canal

Need a root canal? Then look no further than Dr. Pratte. I wish I could give him *SIX* stars if I could. I have had three root canals done in my lifetime (no joke!), and the best one came from Dr. Pratte.
At the initial first appointment I was given a tremendous amount of information about root canals, and details about my particular procedure. At the end, I knew what to expect. The actual root canal was done during a second appointment. Dr. Pratte is so good at the art of root canals that he can probably do them in his sleep! Once he started on my procedure, he was real smooth — he just knocked it right out. Boom, boom, boom, and I was done. No discomfort whatsoever.
Very caring and professional staff. From the initial phone call to the follow-​ups in the days following my procedure: Dr. Pratte is the best! I hope I never have to see him again, but if I do, I know I’ll be in great hands.

If you have to get a root canal Dr. Pratte is the one to see, peaceful office, caring staff, lots of info and Dr. Pratte could not be more gentle or efficient to get you on your way. Recommended by my dentist. PS: My husband has the same recommendation.

Dr. Pratt was recommended to me by my family dentist to treat a root canal that needed retreatment due to an abscess infection at the root. This was a very stressful time for me because I was already in pain and anticipated more to come. Dr. Pratt and his staff answered all my questions before treatment and could not have been more responsive. When I was in great pain two days later I paged the office in the evening and he responded within the hour and prescribed something for the pain and saw me the next morning.
When it proved to be a complicated case he consulted with others and made sure I received the treatment I needed. Before I went to see him I was nervous but Dr. Pratt made sure I was «frozen» (by waiting for 40 minutes after injecting the Novocaine into the affected jaw) and I felt no pain during the procedure. Once he started, he was fast and professional. I had my IPOD with me and listened to some Stevie Wonder — Songs in the Key of Life, you still delight me.
If you are a nervous patient (like I was) I believe you would be in good hands here as they provide compassionate, committed patient care.
