I’m so disappointed! After many years of not going to a dentist I went here for x-​rays and an exam which cost $ 100.00. After the doctor looked at my x-​rays she informed me that I needed an $ 800.00 deep cleaning, hundreds more for fillings and would probably have to have as many as 5 teeth pulled. WHAT? I have no pain and no loose teeth, it’s just been a while. I am now terrified because of this awful news so I paid the $ 100.00 for this expert advice and made an appointment for the $ 800.00 deep cleaning because I can’t let things get any worse.
After I settled down a bit I decided to go and get more opinions. My second opinion came from a dentist that did FREE x-​rays and an exam, she went over my x-​rays with me explaining everything she saw and then she gave me a mirror and showed me the issues she wanted to address. She also recommended a $ 300.00 deep cleaning, fillings and a consultation with a specialist.
I went to a third dentist and she also offered me FREE x-​rays and a free exam. She was very thorough and gave me a mirror so I could see what she was seeing and she explained all the things she wanted to do in great detail. She recommended a $ 300.00 deep cleaning, fillings and consultation with a specialist.
I went to a specialist and they immediately informed me to get a deep cleaning, but they weren’t sure if i had to have any teeth pulled although one is in question. After the cleaning they actually want to re-​evaluate to see if we can take another course of action and save every tooth.
Needless to say, I have already gone to one of the other dentists, had a deep cleaning, white composite fillings and my consultation with a specialist. All of this so far has been less than the nearly $ 1000.00 I was going to pay for the deep cleaning alone with Honolulu Dental. How much would my fillings have been? How much would the extractions have been? Would they have actually taken that many teeth from me?
I’ve never appreciated a second or third opinion more than after coming here for my original evaluation. I also wrote a similar review on Honolulu Dental website and it has yet to post. Really? I feel that everyone needs to be cautious, and I would recommend anyone who goes here to get a second opinion.

I truly love Honolulu Dental. Everyone that works here is so helpful and welcoming. I love that Dr. Bhoot cleans my teeth. Last dentist I had never gave me the service Dr. Bhoot does. A rude dental hygienist used to clean my teeth so there was never anything to look forward to when it came to going to the dentist. I love the teeth whitening policy if you have insurance. Nothing but positive experiences here. Keep up the good work. I highly suggest recommending them to family and friends!

Hi, I was always afraid to go to dentist. The first time I visited Dr. Bhoot I was so nervous… But she was very kind, nice and so professional! I had no pain at all. I strongly recommend her if you are looking for a great, nice and professional dentist.

If you’re looking for a dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Bhoot. She’s very skilled, professional, and compassionate. My wife and I have commuted long distances to see her. Having a competent dentist is important and we’re very grateful to have found her.

I never thought I would look forward to seeing the dentist. I am a dental chicken. And I mean like sweaty palms, shaking, anxiety attack dental chicken. I was looking for a new dentist and got a flyer in the mail for Honolulu Dental. I called to feel out the place and Dr. Bhoot herself answered the phone and was very patient with me, answering all of my many questions. I decided to drop by one day to check out the office and was very happy when I met Dr. Bhoot, and also with her assistant, Leslie and the pleasant, calm environment. So I took the plunge and made the appointment. And I’m so glad I did. I ended up needing a root canal and I have had a few, so I can confidently say that the one performed on me by Dr. Bhoot was the easiest dental experience that I have ever had. She is very gentle, and informed me the entire time of what she was about to do before she was going to do it, asking me throughout if I was okay. She is very considerate and understanding. Aside from her gentle and knowledgeable dental care, I also GREATLY appreciated how up front and honest both she and Leslie were regarding what procedures were necessary and what could probably wait, payment methods, approximate cost, etc. Last… and this is huge… Dr. Bhoot was very accommodating to me with scheduling my appointments, with her performing a majority of my work on Saturday mornings.
Dr. Bhoot at Honolulu Dental is now the new dentist for my entire family, including my 6 year old who got a cleaning and a filling from her. Oh… and a toy on the way out. :)
If Dr. Bhoot can make me want to write a Unilocal review about a dentist, then trust me… she’s right for anyone.
