I wish Unilocal would let me rate this place lower then one stars because I’ve never experienced such horrible service until this establishment. First knock off — The waiter did not come by to refill drinks once the entire time. We paid for those drinks please refill them. Second strike– I walked over to the waiter for some ketchup and he promised to get me some. Instead I saw him walk over and go back to watch television by the bar. Third– The restaurant billed us tip along with the meal price not even allowing you to choose how much to tip. The icing on top really was when they asked if you would like to tip a bit more for extra. Fourth– the food was not worth it. Look, being a waiter is hard I get it but next time, How about earning that tip?

Always good authentic Mexican food, buffet. Good value for your dollar. Have been here several times now and never disappointed.

We thought we were in for a treat… nope, we weren’t. The food as well as the service was mediocre at best, The refried beans had no flavor, the sour cream was watered down so bad that it ran like water and just about tasted the same. I must say though that the chicken fajita was pretty good. When the bill came we found that the added a 15% gratuity to the check. There were only 2 of us. We mentioned this to the manager(at least we think that’s who he was) saying that usually gratuity is added to larger parties, not two people. His excuse was he has been here 4 months and doesn’t know the customs of the country yet. I asked him if he had been out to eat, his responese was yes. I then asked if he saw a gratuity added to his check, his answer, no. Then he opened a drawer and offered us a lollipop, he said to sweeten things up. Sorry, no lollipop is going to sweeten up the bad taste in my mouth from that place.

OK this place needs an intervention! I was drawn in by the name but once inside the last thing you think about is steakhouse. The décor is tacky and dated. The staff is friendly and attentive. I ordered a NY Strip medium rare with garlic mash potatoes. My steak had nice old school grill marks but was medium well to well done and the mash potatoes were from scratch but had no discernable garlic flavor. They were also just splatted on the plate. No style points for presentation. As a side I also had a stack of onion rings for 7 dollars and they were frozen and not very good. For dessert I went with the cheesecake. It was obvious it came from the supermarket and they just cut a slice and put it on a plate, no fruit, no whipped crème, nothing. I didn’t have the Taco Bar, but it is what keeps the lights on. It didn’t look appealing to me. The average customers here appeared to be hard working families on a budget. I get that this place is never going to serve Kobe Tomahawk Chops but to offer such bad food in such an ugly restaurant is a shame to the customers and to the nice people who work here. I won’t return. There are plenty of other dining options on this road. You have been fairly told. Bön Appetit!

I wasn’t pleased at all by this experience. My boyfriend and I went for the buffet and most of the food was cold or tasted like it hadn’t been changed in a while. I could’ve prepared a better meal for a cheaper price by getting something out of a frozen meal from the grocery store. Heck, I would’ve gone to Disney for the price I paid. On top of the food not tasting great, the atmosphere was just uncomfortable. This restaurant just has an identity crisis. It’s half steak house, half mexican buffet but with a very Italian feel in the décor. There was only one server from what I could see, and he did okay, but nothing great. Maybe I just went on a bad night, but I don’t know how this restaurant has anything over a two star review.

How can you not love a place called«Colorado House of Beef»? Well, when they also advertise a Mexican buffet. I have no idea how this place came into existence, but apparently they are both a steakhouse(thus, «house of beef») and a Mexican buffet. As has been mentioned, they are not particularly busy — maybe because of the odd combination, or perhaps because of the odd access to the place. But the staff is friendly, if a tad on the slow side. Once you are seated, you can order from the menu(steak-type entrees) or choose from the buffet. Since we were on the late side eating, and had a hungry group, we went with the buffet. It was solid, but nothing spectacular. Also, most food seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. Other than that, it’s a decent option against the other places in the area.

On a recent trip to Kissimmee, we drove around one night looking for dinner. As we drove down the main drag, we noticed a sign that said«All you can eat Mexican Buffet, $ 14.99»…since we love Mexican food, we decided to stop by and give it a try. The entrance to the place looks like a lobby of an old motel or something… either that or an old style Steakhouse. There’s a small porte-cochere with what looks like a bell tower as you enter, something you don’t see in newer designed buildings. Once we got inside, we were seated and the server asked if we were doing the buffet. I asked her if anyone ever ordered off the menu a la carte instead… she said, «sometimes»…LOL Ok, so we went with the buffet. There are two main dining rooms and we were seated in the first room. The buffet line is in the 2nd room. There’s a large spread of food available… Beans, Rice, Cheese, Enchiladas, Fajita Chicken, Carne Asada, Carnitas, Al Pastor, Tortillas, Cheese Crisps, Chips, Guacamole, Salsa… and much more. See pics for details. I was surprised that they offered Al Pastor… that’s something I wouldn’t expect. So I made a couple Al Pastor Tacos and also took a slice of Cheese Crisp. The food was ok… the Al Pastor to my surprise had a lot of flavor and was average. The Cheese Crisp… or as they called here«Pizza» was kind of bland. The Salsa wasn’t too spicy… I asked for a spicier option and they didn’t have one. I went back for seconds to try the Carne Asada and Fajita Chicken… both were just ok. The service here was average for a buffet style restaurant. We left with a full stomach, but didn’t feel ‘satisfied’. Return Factor — 30%

Not the greatest. Food was average(my burger was bad, but my wife like her Mexican buffet). The nice lady server was the absolute BEST! It is nicer on the inside than it is on the outside. And don’t forget the 15% off coupon in the little Orlando coupon book.

We ordered the fajita bar and were underwhelmed. The beef for fajitas and in the quesadillas was overcooked and tough. My husband said the refried beans tasted old and the guacamole was oddly spiced. We didn’t even bother for a second plate to see if we could find something better since we’d selected the best-looking options available.

While lacking for customers when we dined, the food was quite good and the service prompt. We chose the fajita buffet and unlike many buffets the food was not allowed to sit cooking into little bricks. The kitchen was very careful to resupply quickly(not real sure how they did that, but they did) and that kept it tasty. One of our favorites was the grilled shrimp for the fajitas which can so quickly go from wonderful to inedible. Another favorite was the ribs which were kept almost hot and the sauce was quite good. Even the faux«banana» pudding was interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised… the outside is kind of off putting but once inside it has the making of a pretty nice restaurant. this place is pretty much a 2 in 1… it is the house of beef and it is a decent fajita buffet… We went for the fajita buffet as I was craving Mexican… the waitress was very friendly and sat us promptly and took our drink order… we then bee lined it for the buffet. I tried pretty much everything… the steak and chicken fajitas were awesome and the fixings were plentiful… it looked and tasted as if it was fresh made guacamole and pico de gallo… the salsa reminded me of pace but it was still good. A quick listing of what they have, fajitas and all the makings shrimp, chicken or steak. tacos and all the makings chicken pork or ground beef and then on top of that they have baby back ribs, chicken tenders and peel and eat shrimp. All of the above were tasty… the below items i would stay away from… the pasta salad… nacho cheese dip and anything on the dessert bar. and the price of 14.99 did not excite me. But i would return when craving fajitas. since chilis fajitas are no longer any good :)

I read the previous reviews and should have believed them more. The décor is exactly as others have said, very confusing. The food is ok, but I was very disappointed by the fact that the only hot sauce they had was Tabasco(for Mexican, Really?). We were really disappointed by the lack of deserts for a Buffett(chocolate cake, some canned fruit, and strange pudding). The scam they are running with their coupon only was for food only and did not include the whole bill, drinks are not included(we did not order any alcohol). The peal and eat shrimp was either over cooked or old. If you want a better and cheaper Buffett, just drive a little further west down 192 to G.C.for better taste.

Excellent steaks, shrimp, & burgers. We ate there twice in December 2011 while on vacation. There was a coupon for a 14oz new York strip steak dinner for $ 12.99. The steaks were some of the best I have ever had. They also had great drink specials. I will definitely visit again. We did not try the Mexican Buffet, however it looked like great quality food.

My mother and I have a time share in Kissimmee and always pass this place on our way back to our room. We were hungry for Mexican, so we decided to stop here and try out the new Fajita buffet. The buffet is small and costs about $ 15 per person. The food tasted very good though! We went around 5:30pm and there weren’t many people there. The kids bar had mini corn dogs, mac n cheese, chicken tenders, steak fries, and pizza. The main food bar had fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp with tortillas, taco beef, shredded pork, ribs, buffalo shrimp, chicken wings(THOSEWEREREALLYGOOD!), rice, beans, tortilla chips, assorted salsas, condiments(sour cream, guacamole, lettuce…), and a small dessert area with cakes and some fruit. Unlike other reviewers, I found the food to be fresh and constantly saw the chef walk from the kitchen with small plates of steaming hot food to replace what was on the buffet. While it wasn’t the BEST food ever, it was good and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and constantly made sure your glass wasn’t empty. The one caveat not to miss — gratuity is ALREADYINCLUDED on your check! I probably wouldn’t eat here again, but it is worth a try!

Stayed at a hotel that was within walking distance of this place. We just arrived in FL that day so we just wanted to go somewhere that was nearby. This place was intriguing to say the least. It says«Colorado House of Beef» but then it also says that it has a all you can eat mexican buffet… on any normal day I think I would have kept walking, but it was hot, we were hungry and the price wasnt too horrible. $ 15 with gratuity included. As we entered, we were even MORE confused. The décor was more of an old steretyped italian restaurant. the booths fabric didnt match the other booths or the walls and it was just a WTF is going on thing. We could have ordered off the menu, but opted to try the mexican buffet. It didnt disappoint, but it also wasn’t to die for. It has tacos and all the toppings you would need, fajitas, quesadillas, chicken wings, fries, mac n cheese, a limited dessert selection, and ribs. in the end, I dont think i’d ever go back or recommend this place. Sorry Colorado House of Beef… you needa make up your mind what you are and stick with it!

Since our hotel was located practically next door my friends and I ventured here for the Mexican buffet. At first we were confused since it is also a steakhouse and a Mexican buffet in one. The décor inside left us confused as well since it was decorated like an Italian restaurant. Besides that the price for the buffet($ 15) isn’t the greatest. The food was a bit about average maybe considering we were hungry. They had steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas, the necessities for a fajita and tacos. They had these really good spicy chicken wings but besides that nothing really blew me away. But it was definitely an experience since I have never been to a Mexican buffet before.

Went there for the Fajita buffet(14.95 per adult before a 10% off coupon we found in a brochure). I personally thought that it was a little overpriced for what it was but the service was good and the food was edible if uninspired. Considering that the«main» restaurant is a «House of Beef» I expected the quality of the beef to be better but it was ho hum at best. We were there for dinner on a Wednesday night and we were pretty much the only people there. The décor was kitschy as well, we couldn’t tell if it was tacky on purpose or if everything was just incredibly outdated. Overall if you are craving a Fajita buffet, this wasn’t awful, but not great either.
