Willard’s Pest Control

Just had our home sprayed this afternoon. Our technician Nick was amazing! Friendly, upmost professional and genuinely loves his job. I will recommend Willard’s to everyone I know. P. S. Nick needs a big raise!

I have no idea where some of these reviews are coming from so I will write an update. I have had Scott, Tom and Zack as techs work on rodent and bee issues and have had excellent experiences. This is one of the best companies to work with I’ve ever interacted with. I could go on and on but trust me they are the best. That’s it-​enough said!

I have to use this company because of my home owners policy. They never have same day appointments and they don’t make it when they say they will be there. The company is very unreliable I would stay far away from them.

Poor poor service and worse handling of poor service. We have been using Willard’s at two homes for years and when Willard’s changed our field technician, the results were horrible. After reaching out to Willard’s office and GM, I was told they would only apply another treatment for full service cost. Further, their records as to the dates of our applications had huge holes (we used them multiple times in 2015 and they had no records of this.) When trying to allow Willard’s the opportunity to make things right, I was first met with a «you have to pay full price for another service», second with a promise to have a Manager call me next day… he never did and I had to call back three days later after no call, third a mail from a Manager that never landed in my inbox (not in junk or clutter folders), and lastly a final call to provide Willard’s one last chance to make things right met only with… we are not going to help you and the onus is on you to provide us with invoices/​records of our service if you want any help (remembering their record keeping is broken.)
Net net is I understand and appreciate everyone and every company make mistakes, but it is how that company responds and treats its customers that show the true DNA of a company. I had hoped Willard’s would respond and make their errors right because I had been a valued customer for years, but after giving them opportunity after opportunity to do so Willard’s showed with Willard’s the customer comes last.

Mark and his colleague were just excellent. They were professional, courteous, and thorough! They meticulously inspected the entire house both inside and out for entry points and sealed up everything. And the cost was reasonable! This is the third company I have used to try to get my rat problem under control and I am finally confident that this will happen.

We had Willard’s out for a rodent inspection. Nick was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He did a good job of explaining the process. He sealed all of the openings around the crawl space and attic. Would definitely recommend Willard’s.

i have used Willards for years. Last year signed up for season bee control. I would recommend not doing this. Very misleading program. Was charged twice for bee nests. Called the owner over 6 times to discuss. Never called back .
Despite polotely calling many times and explaining my situation. Will urge all my neighbors in Suncadia to avoid Willards.

We returned home from vacation to discover a bees nest attached to our front porch. I called Orkin who quoted by $ 350!!! Way overpriced.
I next called Willards and they quoted me less than HALF! Sold! :) I called… they will be out same day w/​a guarantee that if they aren’t successful, they will be back free of charge.
Impressed.

Willard’s came out to evaluate some mysterious wood decay on our deck that looked insect-​related. Jon diagnosed the wood-​boring beetle cause and gave honest recommendation of just replacing the wood and not chemical treatment. Jon also inspected our entire house and gave some good practical advice on best practices for pest prevention. We discussed some reasonable preventative maintenance packages with no pushy sales pitches. Seem like good folks to do business with.

We use Willard’s and like them a lot. Zack does our services at our home and he is great. Nice guy, always punctual and wants to help with our pest issues. He is very knowledgeable about pests. We have an ant problem that never quite goes away so I can’t give them 5 stars because it doesn’t go away but that is somewhat the nature of the «beast» so to speak. We keep trying. They use to be $ 140 plus tax and they are now up to about $ 160 plus tax for a visit that lasts maybe a half hour tops so they aren’t cheap. I don’t think they are unreasonably priced compared to their competition but the reality is that you never want to have to hire a pest service or a plumber because in general those services are pricey! We try everything to eliminate and deal with pests and consider pest services our last resort because it adds up cost-​wise. With that said, if I can’t solve the issue I call Willard’s. By the way, avoid the pest companies that want to do a consult and evaluate your situation. That is a fancy way to charge you a lot for a walk around your property. You get good service with Willard’s, none of that.

After having a couple of inspectors look at the issues in my house, Ross at Willard’s gave me the least amount of service. He came out and looked at my attic and measured my property. He told me he’ll put together my quote yesterday morning, but I have yet to receive it. All the other inspectors who came out were much more helpful and pointed out the real issues I had. He simply came out to give me a quote whether I needed this done or not.

This is in addition to my previous post. I have to say these guys have guts. I got a bill for monthly services. We had not seen them since they cost us a new $ 20,000 roof. We have called but they refuse to answer the phone or call back. Avoid they like the plague.

If I could give them more stars I would! we were in big trouble, had an hornet’s nest underneath our window sill and on Friday afternoon I noticed 1 digging his way into the inside of my house! I put some glue and tape over the hole and called 6 places before I got a hold of Willards. Rick was kind and patient and understanding. Of course they were booked that day and very busy over the weekend but he was fairly sure he could get me in on Saturday, but he could hear the panic in my voice and before the phone call was over he mentioned that one of his guys lived near me and might be willing to come by my place after his already long day. I was not hopeful but I was grateful for his offer to look into it. 15 minutes later he called me back and said that Jon would be heading over to my house at the end of his day to take care of my problem. Rick was very very nice and went out of his way to help me when he could tell that I was concerned and upset. When Jon arrived he was kind and compassionate, not at all grumpy or put out after working a long day and having one more added on. He was helpful and gave me lots of good information. he was very sweet and did a fantastic job. He said the Hornets would be gone for sure within 5 days but likely in the next hour or two. An hour after he left there was no activity and has not been since. Willards staff, professionalism and compassion were like no other. The only other company that could even fit me in gave me a six day wait while I had Hornets trying to gnaw their way into my home. I will call Willards every single time! Thank you Rick and Jon, you’re the best!

I usually don’t write reviews but after reading some of the reviews posted here I couldn’t help myself. I have dealt with Willards for years first with rats, recently for yellow jackets. I don’t know where people are getting the criticisms, this company is amazing in every way. From office staff to communication to technicians, every interaction with them has been the best. I have never, never had a problem. I can’t think of another business I can say this about. The details are too many to list just take it from me they are a very good company. I am a difficult person to please and I can think of only one or two companies I have dealt with over the years that would match Willards performance. I know I won’t use any one else.

We had Willard’s out last year when we had ants invade our home, and again when they returned a year later. They were able to fit us in on very short notice and I feel great knowing our ant problem will be taken care of. Their prices are reasonable and I like that they are a local business. Thanks for helping keep our home pest free!

Willard’s did an awesome job ridding us of an ant infestation. Those little buggers were coming in everywhere. After many failed attempts myself, I tried Willards when a friend who is a property manager recommended them. They came gave be a bid and completed the work on the spot. It’s been one month since the treatment and still no sign of ants. Thanks Willard’s!

When I heard a noise from our crawl space, I gave them a call based on a recommendation from my neighbor. The technician came, inspected, took pictures of our crawl space and explain what needs to be done and how much it would cost. There was no ambiguity about process or pricing. He sealed all the possible entry points and set traps. He also gave us an estimate for replacing our insulation and vapor barrier since the rodents did some damage to them. Then he came back two more times in one week interval to check the traps. Nothing was caught, so probably they were just going in and out of the crawl space. When he came back for one of the follow up appointments, he also pointed out to me none-​rat related issue under our crawl space which I would not know otherwise. We hire another specialist to take care of this other issue, but still needed insulation and vapor barrier replaced. The quote we got from Willard’s was much more reasonable than other ones so we decided to hire them for this job as well. Removal /​Installation crew were very nice and I believe they are employed by the company not sub-​contractors. They did the job and left the site very clean.

The group at Willard’s are extremely reasonable. We had a miscommunication regarding price of service and they immediately rectified the situation. Barbara was her name I believe. Very nice folks and I recommend working with them!

Not great on the response or follow up. Always an excuse. Technician got wires crossed. Management has no problem pointing fingers at their tech service people.

These guys missed their appointment; costing me a half day of work. When they finally got someone out to inspect they promised to get back to me with a bid the next day. They didn’t. When I called to find out what the hold up was they promised to give a bid again the next day, but again failed to do so. Clearly these guys didn’t want the job of dealing with my raccoon problem. They should’ve been honest about it up front instead of playing their stupid game and costing me a week of time. They should also remove themselves from affiliation with Northwest Nuisance Control. I found them on line, but they sent out Willard’s to do the inspection. These guys are unreliable.

Willard’s to the rescue!
Around the holidays we started hearing this scratching noise at night in our kitchen… it sounded like it was coming from in the floor. I’d stomp over and yell at the noise, but the noise would mock me and start right back up again a few minutes later. I sent my husband down to our crawl space, I was certain there must be a squirrel living down there because whatever was down there was making scratching/​chewing noises. My husband found nothing but the noise continued that evening. So I decided to call in the big guns… an exterminator.
Willard’s Pest Control has a link on their website to request service, so I filled that out and asked that they mercilessly kill whatever was in my crawl space. They quickly returned my email with a call and we set up an appointment. They also gave me a round about price quote, to give me an idea of cost (not nearly as much as I expected, pleasant surprise!)
Out came Sokhara, my prince in killing rodent armor! He went down and quickly assessed that we had rats! I have always been a cat owner so I have never had a rodent problem in my home in my entire life. I was shocked another animal would be so brave as to take up residency in a home with two vicious cocker spaniels and a cat! But my babies don’t go in the crawl space, so I guess it was silly for me to assume the rodents knew better. Sokhara not only set up traps to get the bastard rodents, he also figured out how and where they were getting in and sealed it off to prevent other rats from coming to the party. He did this all in about an hour’s time… I was impressed with his efficiency.
Sokhara came out for a second visit and found the trouble rat that had been menacing me, dead in a trap. I felt no pity for the bastard… if you come in to my home uninvited you will not leave breathing. Sokhara reset the traps and came out for a third visit, where there was no more dead rats to be found. We are now rodent free once more! Let this be a lesson to all other rodents: if you try to set up shop in my home I have no problem hiring someone to kill you. I’d hire Willard’s Pest Control again… they do excellent work and fairly priced. They were also very good about coming at times that were convenient for me!

I have used Willard’s Pest Control for more than five years and find their service to be consistently exemplary. I recommend them to neighbors and friends. Therefore, I want to share their superior service to a broader audience.
I have used and spent lots of money on several national brands who proved to be ineffective.
Willards is the only company that was able to successfully address my rodent and insect issues. They were thorough, responsive and cost effective.
In addition, their staff is friendly, accommodating and conscientious … and very respectiful of my home and needs.
What’s more, when most companies are slowing down or closing for Thanksgiving, Willards was nice enough to come to my home during the holiday to address an immediate issue.
Please call Willard’s first. I am not being paid or their PR agency. I am simply a very happy customer.

Stay miles away from them! They are extremely shady practice.
I hired them to remove bee hives from eaves on the home. They quoted me a price of $ 140-​$ 180 on the phone. They came out and removed some hives. Even when I asked them to remove all of them on the site, they did not. I called them 2 days later and told them that some bee hives are left and they said that someone will come next day and take care of it. They DID NOT say that second trip will be extra charge. Then say sent me a bill of $ 242 for first trip (when they had quoted 140 – 180) and $ 150 for second trip when they had quoted 0.
I strongly disrecommend them as they lie, want to charge ridiculous fees and don’t complete the work correctly.

Our experience with willards is quite interesting. At first, we were very happy with their service. We got the same day treatment on the bee nest in our siding on August 21, 2012. It looked like the majority bees activities were extinguished on the following day.
However, we kept seeing three to five bees buzzing around the fested area after day two. We patiently waited for two weeks and bees became more and more coming back.
We called Willards again on September 7, 2012. This time they were not as friendly as the first time after we explained the problem. And, they could only arranged a follow up check in 5 days because it is still in the warranty period of their service. We accepted this and waited for the technician to come in the following week.
On the date of the follow up check, the technician did not show up at all. Although we gave them a phone call to remind the appointment during the day.
I would change my poor review if the company can deliver a better follow up check for us.

While the people that came out to the house have been more than pleasent, I would have to say that the work has yet to be completed after MANY visits.
After recent landscaping in the neighborhood, myself and my neighbors have had a rat problem. They have gotten into my attic and we can’t seem to get rid of them. We have had Willard’s out a few times, the first time they put poison up there and later cleared carcasses and determined the issue to be resolved. We noticed more noises and had them come out again, at which time they put traps in the attic and on the roof for squirrels. The squirrel guy was very consistant, changing the traps often and doing a great job. The attic guy never came back to check the traps, and a few days later we started to notice more dead smells. Since this visit, they have been out at least 3 times. Each time they find a new entry point or two, and each time they say that it’s been sealed up. They also can’t seem to find any more carcasses, even though the house continues to have that dead smell. The last time they came out they brought the manager (who said he would call at 11:30a to set things up with me; I left work to be available and then no one showed up until 1:00p without a phone call) and then I was once again told they would be back in three days to check the traps. It’s been a week and a half and I have not heard from anyone; and we are once again hearing critters in the attic, the crawlspace below the house, and behind our cabinets. Needless to say I will not be calling them again, and if you have a rodent problem I would recommend you stay away from them as well.

Well, I was looking forward to having the chance to rate Willards on their ability to do their job, but unfortunately they didn’t even give me the chance. The first time, Willards came out, did the inspection and we didn’t hear back for 2 weeks with a report. We ended up calling them and it turned out that the lost the report (STRIKE 1). So we scheduled another appointment to have them come out again to re-​do the inspection. Turns out that they didn’t bother to let us know that they weren’t coming out, so we sat at the property for 2 hours waiting for them (STRIKE 2). Thanks for the complete waste of friggin’ time guys, appreciate it! So since this was a time sensitive job and we needed someone out the next day, they proceeded to tell us that no one could come out and we would have to wait a week to get anyone out there (STRIKE 3). I expect companies to at least be prompt and considerate of their clients and possibly try to make things right when they know they dropped the ball, Willards struck out with all three of these aspects.

Rats are not cute, I don’t care what the movie says and a name like Willards for a extermination company? Too freaking funny.
I love our Willards guys. Yes, he knows his stuff and can think like a rat. We were having an issue and Mark, the guy who came out figured out where the little rat b*stards were coming in and made sure that it was now impenetrable.
Later, we had another issue — roof entry. He walked into our house and noticed that we no longer had a dog or cat. He spent over two hours figuring out where the perpetrator entered and determined where he might be hanging and voila, the next morning we had the culprit.
Yes, they are not cheap, but they are awesome.
They still come by every few months to bait our outdoor feeding stations, well worth it.

We have worked with them several times, fast courteous and knowledgeable.
