Pump It Up

I went on a no school day so it was filled with kids! yikes.
My kid wants to know when we can go back. He’s too young to climb up the big slides by himself so I’m planning to take him on a family night.

Loved it, me my wife and two of my boys 3 and 5 had a blast. Coming back again for sure!

We were invited here for a birthday party and my little one had a great time! The first go over the rules of the play area (which for a bunch of 2 year olds may have been a little over their heads) and then we were lead downstairs to partake in the bouncy areas, obstacle course, & giant slide! I do wish that everything was on one level since it’s a bit of a challenge having 2 year olds walk up and down those stairs, etc.
The slide itself is very very very (did I mention very?) STEEP! My little one wanted to go up it but since it was so steep it made it hard for her to climb. She’s not exactly the most cautious of kids so when we got to the top and she got scared, I did too! I went down with her and that slide was soo crazy fast I think she would’ve flew right off! I even tried slowly us down by sticking my arms out but ended up with a burn on my elbow! They don’t have any one regulating the slide so as soon as we came down I felt another kiddo slide right in to me followed by another!
About 30 minutes in to this one area, we were told to gather our things and we were moved to another play area with a climbing wall, bubble machine, toy cars, foam blocks, and bouncy areas. I wished we were simply allowed access to both areas for the full hour rather than herding the children from one room to another.
The whole play area itself is really dark?! I know they don’t need a lot of lighting to play and bounce but it made for really bad pictures and would’ve been nice to be able to see my child more clearly in the dark bouncy houses!
The party room is nice and spacious and she had a great time otherwise!

They need to do better. I tried to reserve a date /​time for a birthday online. The payment page does not have a secure URL. The page just says «this page is secure», which is ridiculous. Just because a page says something doesn’t make it true. I can put «by reading this you must pay me a million dollars». A website page can say anything. The URL needs a padlock to demonstrate your payment is secure. Since I didn’t want to use my credit card on the page, I called and left a message to reserve. I received a call yesterday but was unable to get to the phone. I called back over and over hoping to get a live person but I never did. I finally left a message again. No call back yesterday. Last night I decided to try to book online anyway. I tried to use a card that has excellent customer service, so I figured I would be safe even though the site isn’t secure. I tried to put that card in and kept getting an error. I explored the site looking for a list of credit cards they accept and couldn’t find that information anywhere. I just gave up. Today at 11:30am I finally got a call back. I was told they were receiving a delivery at the Lynnwood location and that’s the reason no one was answering phones yesterday. I find it astonishing that a business would abandon their phones for an entire day for any reason. That fact made me hesitate to book — I don’t like not being able to get in touch with a business when I need to. My children really want their party here, so against my better judgment I decided to reserve the time anyway (11:30 start time) and it was no longer available. The employee said it was just booked this morning. I was extremely annoyed because if they had been answering phones yesterday or if they had returned my call earlier today the time would have been ours. However, after reading some of the reviews here, I think we may have dodged a bullet. I attended a party a couple of weeks ago and the general vibe of «staff is not engaged /​doesn’t do much» is pretty accurate. I was willing to overlook what I saw because what I saw wasn’t quite as bad as some of the reviews, but I was not at all impressed with the «service». I’m honestly shocked this place can stay in business.

IM in shock and really sad! we tried to celebrate our birthday party on last saturday but it was terrible. they promised to do something for my daughter’s party but they didnt, they avoided to help for the decoration until i screamed around, they always presured us to finish our party, my guests and i will never go this place to celebrate party!!! i booked for whole included party but they didint prepare anything, they gave a code for downloading pictures from their website, but there was onother picture on their website, i wont go to this place again even as a guest

Organized and clean facility, went to a birthday party for a five year old, staff was helpful, the play inflatables are in good shape and are divided into different rooms (you start in one then go to the second). Parking is limited, so plan ahead to get a spot as the lot has lots of competition from neighboring businesses.

If only I were a kid again.
I was invited to a nephews birthday. To say I was excited would be an understatement. Running around to all the play areas (arenas) I forgot how old I was. Sadly I was reminded when I quickly ran out of breath and began to sweat profusely…
Inside pump it up there are at least two inflatable arenas where everyone can run around and play. Additionally I saw one of the other rooms, sadly not mine, strobing with black lights. That’s for my next visit.
After running around the birthday group was invited upstairs to partake in much needed water, juice and pizza.
I wonder how often adults ask to rent out the facilities for themselves?

My son chose Pump it Up for his birthday party. I agree with the previous posts in that the staff really do nothing. They do not allow you to set up your own party room, and even though we gave explicit instructions as to how we wanted it set up, it didn’t get done.: (I bought specific decorations based on our theme (table cloths, plates, napkins and goody bags) and none of my items were set as I had instructed. There weren’t even enough places set for all of the kids. :(None of the staff came into our party room to help with anything! They advertise that they «do all the work» but do not do anything. For the cost of their parties, and for what they advertise (do all the work)…they really should do more. I will never go back to this place again. They did, attempt to make it up to us by taking money off of our bill, but I am still very very unhappy. Last year, we went to another place and they actually did do all the work… set everything up just how we wanted, served the food, cake and cleaned up. We will do our party there again next year.
Sadly, I do not recommend a party at Pump it Up. The kids had fun, but it was not what I expected or what I paid for.

I really love taking my toddler/​preschooler here because it completely wears him out. He loves climbing and sliding over and over. It’s also helped him learn how to jump, which he was a little scared of. From a kid’s perspective, it’s probably 5 stars.
From a parent’s perspective, it’s almost perfect. Almost. The staff always look bored. I’m not really sure how often stuff gets cleaned, as I’ve never seen anybody cleaning. I also really wish they had more open hours during the week instead of just birthday parties. It’s not accessible to us now that my son is in AM preschool during the week.

Fun, but the Manager Chris is refuses to share the wifi with guests and raises prices a lot. A truly terrible manager! The worst!

This is a great place to have a kids birthday party!
I am very spoiled when it comes to having a large family with nieces and nephews. My brother and sisters kids are very well mannered. However get a group of kids together and they all turn into a pack of wild energy that would destroy any house. My brother little one held his birthday party here and it was safe, clean, and professional. The kids ran around like wild animals but it’s all indoors on padded and puffy play sets you can just sit, take photos, laugh and let them scream their heads off.
A friendly staff member monitors the group and they were having so much fun and expelling so much energy I couldn’t keep up. You as an adult can go in some if the bouncy houses too and play with your kids or get photos. After 20 min your lead to a new room with more bouncy house fun. After that upstairs for cake and presents.

I HIGHLY recommend this if your gonna throw a party with a bunch of little kids. 2 hours and they were asleep… Boom.

They were awesome and thorough. Check in was weird… they didn’t give a ton of direction. Don’t care about that one employee though… kids loved it. Don’t bring a cooler like I did, they have carts with the birthday kid’s name and a gift bucket (all things they failed to explain).

We celebrated my son’s 4^th birthday here and we’ve also been here one another time as a party guest. I’m giving 3 stars because the kids really do have a great time. So, this is the scoop (in my opinion, obviously):
As a guest, it’s awesome. Each bouncy area room is private, safe and fun — all huge plusses. And the kids absolutely love it! We’d love to come back and play when invited as a party guest.
As a host, it’s ok. Here is what I love/​don’t love:
Love:
+ As mentioned above, private, safe, fun play areas
+ Kids have an AWESOME time
+ Entire facility is kept up and appears clean
Don’t Love:
— Entire staff is young, pretty disinterested (teenagers?) in their jobs
— So, because of that, there really is no one «doing all the work» which would be my biggest negative feedback based on price paid and services received. We have another child with a party coming up in January but I won’t be back to Pump it Up for that.
— We were completely rushed out of our room. HUGE NEGATIVE. The teenager cleaning the tables was in such a hurry that he sprayed me with cleaner as I was packing my things on the opposite side of the table. We got 40 minutes for pizza, cake, and presents. No leeway here since they pack us in.
— Paid $ 35 extra for Pirate Adventure. Which was just not worth it at all. They should offer themes included in the price they charge.
A few more things to note:
— They take photos and you can pay extra to download later (pay more, seriously another charge??). I didn’t see the photos at the party, but purchased anyway so I didn’t miss out) and most of them were the sides or backs of bodies, dark or blurry.
— The bouncy house areas are dark and not well lit.
— None of my things that I put on the carts upon arrival was put in the fridge as promised (everything I brought was in the exact same place as I left it when we arrived).

I had my daughter’s 4^th birthday party at this location. Although my daughter and her guests had a great time, as a parent and the person paying for the party, I was quite disappointed. The website advertises that they help take care of everything, and that is quite the contrary. I purchased the Ultimate package and all they did was take 14 pictures while the kids were playing in the inflatables that I was told would be played on the screen in the party room that were not, and the pizza we ordered put in the corner. Furthermore, I was told 30 minutes before the event that the people that work there don’t have food handlers permit, so they could not touch the food. So, I found myself scrambling around setting out the food I paid for and the food I brought, and serving the kids. I even had the other moms helping me with none of the Pump It Up employees to be found. But, yet, they are supposed to «take care of everything».
Then, the lady I spoke with over the phone to confirm the party told me that I didn’t need to worry about bring plates, napkins, and cups because they would provide them. To my disappointment, the plates there the cheap, flimsy paper plates. I was very embarrassed to be serving my daughter beautiful cake on these types of plates.
Also, I was under the impression that they charge you for the number of children that actually come. However, they charge you for the number of children that you estimate coming. They try to make you increase the number of children you estimate are coming, so beware of that if you decide to book a party there. Although they charged me for the estimated total of children, they only gave me gift bags for the number of children present.
Long story short, the only reason I am giving Pump It Up Kirkland 2 stars is because the kids really enjoyed the inflatables. But, I will NEVER host another party here. Too misleading.

I really want to hate Pump it Up, but my kids love it and they do plan excellent birthday parties. They are super well organized, the kids have a blast, and the parties run like clockwork. I’m sure my kids will grow out of it eventually, but for now at least I know that at Pump it Up, I’m assured of 2 hours of jam-​packed fun for the kids (which hopefully will tire them out for a good night’s sleep!)

Our kids have always had a great time at Pump It Up. We’ve had two birthdays here and they were a breeze to plan. We brought in our own cake and they provided everything we needed to serve.
Their facility is surprisingly clean too! Thumbs up!

Tried this place last Thursday with my SIL, 5 year old nephew, and 2 year old son. It was $ 7 and change for my son to play. The 5 year old LOVED all the inflatables while my 2 year old ran around dancing, playing in the toy car, and went down the slide a few times. Music was not kids music! Yippee! At the very end of the morning session, about noon, one of the employees let us play a game of air hockey and even showed us the cool disco/​black lights they use at night. This place rocks! Bring your kids here to run and have a blast and they will sleep great that night.

This place rocks! We had our daughter’s 4^th birthday party here recently. Staff was friendly and professional. Extra props to Jennifer and Brittany — for having the patience to deal with me as I changed our party date twice. We attended numerous b-​day parties at the Pump It Up in San Diego and found the Kirkland location to be just as wonderful!

I don’t know why my review was posted… I am re– posting it again.
I have been here to several birthdays and all those times have been excellent. But recently when I was for a birthday the staff at the reception were nice but the girl that showed the video and was in our party could have been nicer. You could tell she just wanted to be in another place. She kept looking at the clock. We requested how to use the game table and she turn it on with a face. The place was so hot I asked her why is so hot. She told me the AC has been on all day. I told her outside is cold and the party next to us has the room cold. The room never got cool. Also I felt I was breathing dust. It was that bad. When I looked at the carpet it was dirty. It was NOT vacuumed. I am giving 2 stars in this review because I have experienced better.

I’m giving this place 5 stars for two reasons.
One, they were genius to be open on Thanksgiving morning, when none of us have anywhere else to take our kids and someone has to be home to do all the prep work, which is nigh-​on-​impossible when you have a toddler underfoot. So I got here about 5 minutes before the 9am drop-​in and my kid had a blast for the 1.5 hours. Worth way more than the $ 6 I had to spend to get in. Made the morning go by that much faster and gave my wife some time to do all the T-​day cooking without dealing with me and our 3-​year old :-)
Two, for the amount of kid «traffic» this place gets it was remarkably clean and functional. None of the bouncy houses were ripped, inoperable or otherwise taped together. Maybe I just live in the gritty city of Seattle and don’t venture out into the suburbs enough. Perhaps it’s always like this?
On a more general note, I saw that there were party spaces, and this would be a great place to take some 4 – 8 year olds for some serious bouncing. As others have pointed out there’s 4 bouncy-​houses in each of two areas — with one more for slightly younger kids (2 – 5) and the other sized slightly larger for older kids (4+). My 3-​year old was adventurous enough to try everything, but it was nice that the shier (is that a word) kids had a place they wouldn’t get trampled by the bigger, more rambunctious kids.
There’s even a «video viewing area» so that some of the adults can stay upstairs in a quiet zone and just watch through the TV. Obviously that doesn’t work well with toddlers, but still, nice to know it’ll be an option if I come back over the years.
Also, the staff were super-​nice, especially considering they were working on Thanksgiving in a place with 100-​decibel hair-​dryer-​sounding machines and 100-​decibel screaming kids.
This place is the shiz-​nit (or whatever it is the kids say these days).
