The Gymnastics Connection is a non-​competitive gym specialized in teaching gymnastics in a loving and encouraging environment, which allows each gymnast to feel like a star! Children progress at their own pace and coaches acknowledge gymnasts’ individual accomplishments!

We are proud of our family-​friendly environment and maintain appropriate music and language at all times.

Cleanliness is a huge priority at our facility as well – there is never a sweaty locker smell that is associated with many facilities.

Also very important is our low child-​to-​coach ratio!

We offer a variety of classes for all ages and abilities! These include classes for elementary-​age students, middle school-​high school students and also specialty classes such as boys classes and tumbling – a great way to practice for High School Gymnastics Teams and Cheer Teams!

Our tiny tot program consists of many classes for children ages 3 – 5 years old, which focus on motor skills and developmental gymnastics skills through songs and games – all with an emphasis on fun! For even younger kids (18 months-​3 years) we offer parent-​tot classes!

Being that we are non-​competitive, we do offer Exhibition Teams. These groups share their love of gymnastics with local communities by performing at schools, parades, etc.

Other fun activities: birthday parties, themed open gyms, parades, summer camps, and a 2-​day Gymnastics Extravaganza at the end of each school year where gymnasts perform routines for family and friends!

History

Established in 2003.

Kimberly Smothermon, with the help of many friends, gymnasts and their families, opened The Gymnastics Connection in November of 2003. Kim’s creativity, gymnastics training and ability to bring joy into children’s lives has made The Gymnastics Connection a loving and encouraging haven for many kids.

The Gymnastics Connection was located in Woodinville for 11 years until September of 2014 when Kim moved the gym to Totem Lake. The new gym is located central to numerous different sports activities as well as other kid-​friendly activities, making this new home a great fit for our Gymnastics Connection families.

Business Owner

Kim started coaching in 1991, but never dreamed of owning her own gymnastics facility. Her favorite thing about coaching is positively influencing children and allowing them to learn and grow! When there became a need for a fun, clean, non-​competitive, encouraging place of learning and gymnastics-​fun, Kim didn’t refuse the opportunity! Rather, she stepped up to the challenge! Her dream now is to spread the connection — The Gymnastics Connection! Kim would like to personally invite you to become part of the Gymnastics Connection family!
