European Stone & Tile Design

I first came across European Stone and Tile Design because my contractor works with them. I got a quote from a different countertop company and even though they were cheaper, I went with European Stone and Tile. Why? Their customer service was top-​notch. I was at their office going over ideas with Aaron, their wonderful sales person, when somehow, I ended up meeting their kitchen designer, Maria, who was amazing! So helpful and frank! She listened to my ideas and told me exactly what I needed, basically, to keep my design simple. WOW… that went a long ways. It took away a lot of the thinking back and forth I was getting into. And my countertop? European came and did a template, took my new Kohler cast iron sink and built a beautiful, marble looking, quartz countertop that I LOVE every time I step into my kitchen. I never thought I would love a countertop like that… but I do! Aaron was an absolute sweetheart in the whole process. I decided to communicate with him via my contractor, just to make sure that no info would fall thru the cracks. Everything turned out great! Thanks so much to the whole team at European — you guys ROCK! Aaron, Maria, Emerson, Miguel, Shawn… what a team you are!!!

I’ve had quartz slab installed in 2 of my homes from European. They offer a great selection at good price. Scheduling is always top notch which is critical when your kitchen is down. Final product is excellent! You get what you pay for in this business.

After talking with a few different tile and granite contractors for upgrading our kitchen counters to granite with a new backsplash, European far surpassed everyone else in terms of customer service, selection, price, and experience. Maria was an excellent partner in helping us find the best granite to compliment our existing cabinets and we could always count on an honest opinion from her. She was not interested in just up-​selling us and rising the price of our project but instead worked with us to find the best solution for our situation and actually steered us away from costly upgrades that wouldn’t provide much impact.
When it came time for installation, Sean, Emerson and the rest of the team did a fantastic job. We have an 18-​month old toddler running around and they were extremely careful about keeping the area clean and picking up anything sharp that our little one could get into. The quality of work was superb and they arrived on time each day and coordinated with a plumber to get our kitchen back up and running in no time.
In the end we came in exactly on budget and have beautiful, seamless granite counters.

I’ve used European Stone twice now, through recommendation of my cabinet person. The first time I ordered from them (very simple — just a granite remnant), the experience was reasonable — albeit a bit slow. However, the 2^nd time I worked with them (several granite slabs + glass tile for a backsplash) the experience was a complete disaster.
The issues started when I got a call from my contractor that he «ran out of tile» — something that seemed odd since European did the measurements and subsequently ordered the product. Apparently they got the square footage right in the measurements, but then ordered a product that was only 10″ x 10″ and didn’t pay attention to calculate /​order the correct amount. Once the error was discovered they ordered more material — though there was NO customer experience (no apology for the mistake, much less an offer to rush the rest order). I was told the new shipment would be delivered on Dec. 28^th, so I waited. Early Jan came with no shipment (or updated ETA) and simply an excuse that the supplier had moved warehouses — so they didn’t know when it would come in (again, no apologies — this was all very matter of fact). A week later, I asked for an update, only to now be told (I’m paraphrasing), «no, they actually don’t have any product here in the US, so it’s literally being made overseas right now. Once manufacturing is completed, it’ll be shipped over by boat, driven up the coast from CA, and should arrive sometime in February.» WHAT? It is now end of January and I still have no tile, no ETA, and no apology (or rush shipping). Every minor update I have has been based on me pursuing this, there has been no proactive communication and absolutely ZERO respect for their customer. This is not the experience I expected based on the significant amount of money spent here nor the fact that they tout themselves as a «higher end» professional company.
In conclusion… If it wasn’t that I had ½ my walls done in this product (so I’m stuck now), I’d cancel this contract and find someone else to do this work. Needless to say, I will NEVER be working with them again. Absolutely unacceptable.

Let me start out this review by saying we shopped around for more than 12 months before we were ready to start our project. In that time we called many different tile and kitchen contractors, and estimated many different materials for installation.
Ultimately we went with European to install real granite counter tops in our kitchen. We chose them for two reasons: they were very patient when we had lots of questions and wanted to visit their showroom multiple times, and their prices were really practical.
We’re so glad we ultimately went with them. First off they were able to do the installation MUCH sooner than we anticipated. This was good because we were in the process of getting the house ready for sale. Second off they did a remarkable job on the installation and offered a lot of great advice on other things we could do to improve the look of the kitchen if we wanted to.
I would recommend Maria, Jackie, and team to anyone looking to do kitchen or bathroom tile work. They really are truly considerate and professional.

In the beginning they make all kinds of promises about their attention to detail and quality work. Just pray nothing goes wrong. It will be a never ending stream of half-​assed cover ups. In the end, I just got sick of dealing with them and decided it would never get fixed though this company.

We happened across this company when we took an afternoon to look at granite slabs for our kitchen. We ran into an installer from this company named Shawn who told us how this company works and gave us the name and number for the owner. We called the owner Maria, she made arrangements to come to our home and see what we needed in our kitchen. She then scheduled a person to come out and have a template made then have the granite installed. The people that work for this company are young and work very very hard. We really enjoyed all of the people that we have come into contact with that work here. What’s also nice is that they speak very highly of each other and like working together. 5 stars go to Maria, Daniel, Ron, Aaron & Rafael.

I needed to get a countertop made for the woman’s restroom at one of my bars and had heard that these guys did good work. I heard correctly. I worked with one of their sales/​designers Tiffany Bloss. After our initial consultation where she figured out what was needed granite wise she was went above and beyond with great design suggestions for color and trim/​finish for the bathroom. Within a week we had our granite piece with sink and it fit perfectly. The piece was very well done no visible seems and precision polished edges. After the install the bathroom looks great. I’ll definitly be using these guys again on future remodels.

European was one of several contractors that completed our bathroom remodel and the only one that we would consider using again. They performed the demo, prep, tile and granite installation. Their work was on time, on budget and high quality.
Throughout the project they were professional and accommodating to us. Tiffany kept on top of our project and did a great job keeping in touch by email. During construction, it’s rare for things to go perfect. It’s during those non-​perfect moments that your find out who you hired. Not only did European respond to our requests as we would have hoped, they even corrected one of the other contractor’s mistakes when they refused to do so!
We would definitely used them again for our remodel projects.

We used European Stone and Tile to install granite countertops in our kitchen and three bathrooms. Maria and her staff were wonderful. They worked with us on getting the estimate down into our price range through helping us select affordable granite and sink options, and exploring other possibilities. Once we signed the contract, the schedule was very fast and efficient in completing the work. We only had one glitch: after demolition (when we were left with only two working sinks), the installers were supposed to come back the next day. Maria called to say there would be a day’s delay as the counters were not ready for installation to her specifications. Though we appreciated her commitment to providing quality products, it added a day to the inconvenience of disconnected plumbing and no countertops or sinks. However, once we moved past that, installation went very well. Ron and his crew were very precise, efficient and attentive to detail in making sure everything was just right. Plus they were pleasant to work with and very committed to getting things done and done well. Overall we were very pleased and continue to love our new granite countertops.

After getting several quotes to redo our kitchen countertops, we decided on European. Maria was very professional and made us feel comfortable with the quality of work. The installers were amazing! They made a few suggestions on improving style and design and we LOVE the outcome. I have recommended European to several friends and neighbors and hope they are as happy with the outcome as we are!

Maria helped me out picking out a remnant for my bathroom vanities, as well as a for my kitchen counter. They did my backsplash for my bathroom. The quote that they gave me for the backsplash for my kitchen (basic subway tiling) was a bit high, so we went with someone else, but they did a great job installing. Maria is very patient, and has great ideas about what looks good. Would definitely recommend them.

I had a small vanity done through these guys and was very pleased with their professionalism.
The sales staff is very cheerful and helpful even when I was thoroughly indecisive and it did not look like I would even go with them. I kept changing my mind about the remant piece that I wanted and they were very patient and did not feel pressured or hurried. My only regret is that I had already contracted with another fabricator for the kitchen countertop (now thats a story for another review!)
They were a little late for the install due to being held up in another job and to my utter surprise I received a discount in my final invoice because of that!
I note this because it was a small job and in contrast with the kitchen countertop sales staff (read my other review of Absolute Granite and Marble)
Installation:
The installer itself showed up exactly when he said he would and was done quickly and did a fabulous job. I had given them measurements that I had taken and he came by and made the top fit my no so straight walls with NO gaps. He caulked the edges too. I know this is not routine because my kitchen countertop installers did not do that.
Anyway I am going to get my bartop done sometime and I am going to go with them.
