The Lighthouse Court Hotel is a 40 room boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Key West across from the Hemingway House and Lighthouse Museum. You can walk to Mallory Square, the beaches and Duval Street’s famous bars and nightlife. A variety of guest rooms and suites are located in ten conch buildings dating back from 1890 to the 1920s. The architecture is typical for old Key West featuring one and two story buildings that have tin roofs, wood siding and french doors. Established in 1975.

The guest inn is comprised of ten «conch» buildings spread out on half a city block next to the Lighthouse Museum. The buildings date from 1890 to the 1920’s. The architecture is typical for old Key West, featuring one and two story buildings that have tin roofs, wood siding, open porches, and french doors. Forty guestrooms are spread out within the ten buildings, creating a spacious and relaxing environment.

I purchased Lighthouse Court in 2004 and immediately undertook major renovations to bring this wonderful historic property fully up-​to-​date. My education and early career was in accounting, but I have been in the hotel business in South Florida for the last 26 years. I love preserving Key West’s historic buildings and creating memorable guest hotel accommodations.

We stayed in this hotel for a night and this hotel is a gem. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location (central old town key west) and its proximity with the hot spots of Key west (Duval, etc)
The staff at the reception was very courteous and spent a good amount of time acclimatizing us with the key west surroundings, good restaurants, places of visit etc.
I, however think that the complimentary breakfast menu here needs a little bit of improvement. They serve packaged cereals, coffee and different types of bread/​muffins.

The hotel staff is incredible! From the minute we checked in, Laura was very helpful in getting us acquainted with the layout of the hotel and the local attractions. She has made our stay very special — assisting in making a reservation for a sunset kayak tour and bringing wine to the room (we had mentioned the trip was in celebration of my boyfriend’s birthday).
The hotel location and amenities are nice, but it was the extra attention and care that truly distinguished it.

Excellent location in key West! Close walking distance to everything and parking available for your rental car. Their mojito bar was fabulous and the pool refreshing. Their staff was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations for local fare to try, often with coupons for free beverages.
The only reason for 4 stars was the high price. This has to be the most expensive hotel we stayed at, and we got a group rate for a local wedding.

Overall our stay was good. The hotel is at a prime location, close to Duval street (only one block away), Close to the southernmost point, next to the lighthouse, and A five minute bike ride from Mallory Square. I guess the things that I did not like about the hotel where the room size including the bathroom, and the price that we paid for it. The hotel looks really cute but the pool is really small. If you want a luxurious get away, I would look into some other places closer to the beach which may cost a few dollars more.

OMG!!! Love love love!!! We stayed in a mini suite (J2) that was probably the cutest room I’ve ever stayed in! I thought the price for the room was a bit steep but the boyfriend thought otherwise as it was his gift to me during our mini get away. Doesn’t matter, I thought the room was perfect. I thought the bed was crazy comfortable and the pillows were the perfect firmness.
There were a few minor imperfections like the sink faucet was loose and the hairdryer didn’t work but honestly, it wasn’t enough to drop this 5 star rating. I loved everything about this place, the front desk staff were so friendly and informative, the cleaning staff left fresh towels every morning and the bar staff at the mojito bar made a GREAT mojito.
The location was amazing, we weren’t along the coast but we were smack in the historical part of town with the Ernest Hemmingway House right across the street and the lighthouse right next door. Also, Duval street was just a block away… yay!
I fell in love with this place and should we ever come back to the Keys, I plan on staying here again.

Good price and location. The rooms and grounds are clean. Our room was recently updated and decorated well.
Here are the downsides:
Bed and bedding. If you love to sleep on those heavenly clouds you find at a W, you’ll be disappointed. The mattress was really firm and the bedding was not soft and soothing. I guess it’s motivation to get out and hit the town, as you won’t want to laze around in bed.
Parking. There is some on-​site, but we parked 3 blocks away. While it was included in the rate, I had to lug all our stuff to the room while my wife stars with the car on the street. We then parked it together. Pro-​tip: use the 2⁄1 coupon presented at check-​in to get drinks at the poolside for the walk back to the property after parking the car.
Room Size: We were fine because we didn’t intend to spend much more than sleep time in the room anyway, but there really is no extra space. Our little slice of paradise didn’t have more than the bed, a little dresser, night stands, and a bench as far as furniture. The bathroom and shower are as small as possible, as is the closet.
Again, good price and location. Staff was pleasant and everything is clean and overall, it’s just fine. Just don’t expect the extra comforts or conveniences. Instead, enjoy the charm.

Great hotel. Staff is very informative and nice. The rooms are set up perfectly and the pool is smack dab in the middle. The only thing I don’t like is that you have to park your car two blocks Down from the hotel, unless you get lucky and get the free city parking in front. I would definitely comeback to this hotel again if the price is right!

We booked 3 nights in this hotel. It is across the Hemingway House and next to the light house. The Duval Street is only a block away with its bars and restaurants. We had the room D3 which was small but beautiful. The bathroom is large and everything was clean. We were a bit unlucky as our safe wasn’t working. But the area is very save. The breakfast was fine and directly at the pool. We walked everywhere and we really enjoyed our time. We would have stayed longer when the price had been lower. But I guess this is the price of beautiful Key West.

We stayed in Key West for one night and this was the place we chose. In our entire trip this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, but I guess Key West is just an expensive place overall!
There is little parking, so get in there while you can. If not, they give you a little card to display on your car and you park a few blocks away in a private little parking area.
They have a very TINY pool, but it’s nice if you need cool down for a few minutes and the rooms are very cute while a bit on the smaller side. Still, I really enjoyed the ambiance of this location and probably would come again if the price were a bit lower. Still we were running out of options and this place had decent reviews. Overall, I liked it.

We had a wonderful stay at this quaint hotel. It has a nice pool and it’s located across from the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.
The location is great, a block from Duval Street, a 10 minute walk to the Southernmost Point buoy and a 15 minute walk to Mallory Square.
The poolside continental breakfast is peaceful. I would highly recommend staying here.

The room was very small. One metal chair and bench were the only places to sit. Had to use the bench for a suitcase stand and brought in a small patio table for our other suitcase. Had to move the metal chair to the bathroom to set our toiletries on because there was no vanity. Could barely turn around in the small shower and only had slightly above luke warm water. Nice patio area, and mojito bar. So so continental breakfast. Even tho they say they have parking it’s very limited. Overpriced for what you get. But the location is great for getting around on foot.

Perfect location! We got the two queen bedroom for four people and it was real nice! Very clean and super friendly staff. I’ve stayed in bed and breakfasts and ocean key in past and this was as nice if not better. Even had parking, although it is limited and we got lucky. Will definitely come back when it’s just a bit cooler. Great overall experience!

DO NOT get the cheapest room available! You will regret it. Very hospitable staff. Poolside bar says it closes at sunset but they closed at 1600 even on the weekends. That was a little disappointing considering we wouldn’t go to the pool until around that time of day. Great location across from the Hemingway house and 1 block from Duval st.

I actually had my wedding reception here in the Hemingway suite. The hotel is very charming and the staff was super sweet. I absolutely love the location it is located between the lighthouse and the Hemingway home. If you decide to go out for a night on the town you just walk up 1 block and you are on Duval street :) no need to use your car !

This place was pretty nice. Right across from the Hemmingway House, and a good place to stay. Room was very tiny. Then again, we didn’t spend much time in it, so it was fair.
My only gripe is the walking distance to and from most restaurants and such. Every time we needed to eat, 30 minute walk there and back.
Parking is also a massive, massive pain in the ass, and this is coming from someone who has a car in NYC, and deals with street parking daily.
If you can avoid a car, do so. But you’ll need it to get there, so it’s lose-​lose situation.

Ok, let’s get the negatives out of the way: the room was tiny and there was barely enough hot water. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel, look elsewhere. The continental breakfast is 7 – 11 caliber, and I thought the place was pretty pricey.
BUT the Lighthouse Court also has a lot of recommend it. The location is perfect — just across the street from the Hemingway House and right beside the Lighthouse. I felt safe when I left in the early morning and when I returned after midnight, and that feeling of security is important to me. The pool was clean and the room was immaculate, too. While not my first choice of hotel in Key West, I’d definitely stay here again.

The customer service is excellent. The key lime margaritas are fantastic. We had no trouble with this lovely B&B.
It was a crowded weekend, and our room at another historic inn became uninhabitable, so they moved us to this better property closer to Duval street. It’s about a block off Duval, nearby amazing food, across the street from the Hemmingway house.
We enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and clean, although a bit cramped because the only room they had left to put us in was under the stairs, by the ice machine and the air conditioner. But though it seemed far from what we’d originally booked at the time, the free drinks and a discount on the rate proved to be the perfect antidote to a potentially dramatic hospitality faux pas.

What a nice cozy cute inn. This was literally within walking distance of everything. My friend and I got a double bed room upstairs and it included a couch and small kitchen area in case if we wanted to eat in the room. The room was big and spacious enough for four people. There was a ceiling fan above each bed. They had a nice continental breakfast that was set up by the pool. The weather was a breeze since it was late February. It can get pricey, but we got a discount due to the wedding block that was held across the street at the Hemingway House. I will definitely stay here again!

For a number of years now I’ve been staying at the lighthouse court when ever I come to key west. And this year was no different. I love the this place. It is quaint and charming and I can always find myself unwinding and relaxing here. Plus it is only a few blocks from some of my favorite restaurants!
The place is almost a like a little compound of different cottages and buildings. Each with its own character. Which means some are small and some are put together a bit strange but if you wanted brass and granite perfection head down the street to one of giant places by mallory square, if you want character and relaxation come here.
The staff is always helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and pretty standard bagels and muffins sort of thing. The pool side bar is nice as well.
What I also like about this place is it is a bit off the beaten path but close enough you can walk to anything really interesting. Or the bike rental places are only a couple of blocks away, no need for a car!
Go sit by the pool and relax, because even though the Hemingway house is across the street you almost never hear the crowds in the little world created by the lighthouse court.
But there are rooters near by, but that is part of the charm!
