Description

History

Established in 1959.

The renowned Dani’s House of Pizza was founded by Ramiz Dani

in 1959 on Lefferts Blvd. in Kew Gardens, Queens and continues to

do business at the same location to this day.

In 1963, Ramiz’s friend, Andre Cupi started working there as a cook

and he is still there today. He reminisced that in the 1960s, it cost 25

cents for a slice and a soda.

In the new millennium, Ramiz passed away and the outpouring of

sympathy was enormous. His son Sabri now continues the tradition of excellence that is Dani’s House of Pizza. And Andre is still cooking there over 45 years later, because as he says, «They are like family to me.»

My friend & I were harrassed by the owners young son, he asked us why we decided to eat our slices on the spot instead of taking it to go like we had originally said. he then came back around asking us why we were eating so
friend then said she wouldnt come around again feeling direspected & he then asked her if she was having personal issues &if that was why she was feeling so sensitive!!! We walked off & he then started shouting n asking my friend why she was still talking as we were walking out the door. The guy making the pizza & the one working the register looked very much in shock & confused but didnt say a thing. Worst experience ever, never again. Ill stick to chinesse instead.

Dani pizza is one of the best in Queens and possible in NYC. Pizza is perfect and place also provides a wide range of beers to compliment the pizza. You can’t eat pizza without beer. I simply can’t get ENOUGH.

I cannot get enough of Dani’s, ever. I googled one night pizza places that were open late and this was one of them. At first I was like this little tiny place is a pizza place? But don’t let it fool you, there’s good food that comes out of there. The waiting area when you walk in is very narrow but there’s always a lot of people and it’s extremely busy no matter what time of the day or night. Until a certain time they have dine in but their take out is open until ¾ AM.
I order two slices cheese and something I pay .50 cents extra and get extra sauce on both my slices. $ 2.50 a slice. YOU WONT REGRET IT JUST BE PREPARED TO COME BACK BECAUSE ITS DELICIOUS.
It’s the sauce, that’s what keeps me coming back and I just love this place.

I love this place. They have a unique green pizza, not sure the name of the pizza. The slices are pretty big. Its open till 3am. Great spot if you want nyc pizza in the middle of the night. Line gets big.

Now– the pizza is amazing… the food delicious
Eat in or take out… I am am in the airline industry
& need to get food on the go at a reasonable price & Dani’s is IT… the place is always busy, the pizza always right out of the oven… The eating area is small but well worth the meal you receive

With the ample amount of options for pizza in NYC, Dani’s has got to be my favorite. I can always count on the place to be open no matter how late my craving for pizza strikes. There is never not at least a few people in the store. There’s a dine-in section and a grab-and-go section, which is the part I usually frequent. There’s something special about their pizza sauce that just keeps me coming back for more. It’s got just the right amount of sweet, and with some red pepper flakes, you’ve got some bangin sweet and spicy sauce. Some people find it too sweet for their taste, but I just can’t get enough of it. I wish all pizza sauces were like this! If you’re up for a sweet pizza sauce, you HAVE to get it with extra sauce. My go to slice is usually a plain slice with extra sauce and a protein (sausage or pepperoni depending on my mood).

Extra sauce, extra sauce, EXTRA SAUCE! That is the only way I take my slices. This pizzeria is busy around the clock. I have even stopped by for a late night slice and have never regretted it. Their sauce is sweet and tart and the slice is always piping hot and crispy. Their wide selection of beer guarantees I am covered for whichever mood I am in.
The only downside is if you go when it is busy, you’ll have to wait a while if you are ordering a pie to go. I have been to the restaurant next door and it is not bad. However, the pizza is probably the most memorable item on the menu.

This place has good food and pizza. This place is always busy and lined up out the door all the time for their pizza. The sweet Sauce and pesto sauces are both yummy.
In the restaurant side the baked ziti and lasagna are great and enough for two. Come hungry.

A late note stop led us to Dani’s and some plain slices (sadly it was late and there was no pesto to be had). The pizza is great actually when it’s cold because you can taste the sweetness of the sauce, but I am not opposed to digging into pizza ravenously. How else is one supposed to eat pizza?
The hours can be funky depending on what day it is so be sure to check the schedule before heading their way.

We ordered take out for football sunday. We got a large plain pie and a slice of pesto. While the pesto was pretty good, the plain was disappointing. The sauce was too sweet (I was overwhelmed by the time I bit into my third slice) and the crust was too soft with a slight chewiness to it (I prefer crispy with a slight chewiness).

Food: Best neighborhood spot thats been around for decades serving Forest Hills with delicious pizza. It’s cozy and comfortable with a sit down restaurant attached to it. I keep it original and order 2 slices with a delicious craft beer from their wide variety to pick from. They offer a pesto slice every once and awhile and it’s a must try when yo see it. They can make a pesto pie for you to go but to grab a slice it’s hard because when that pie comes out of the oven it sells fast. The pizza has a slight sweetness in the sauce that doesn’t work for everybody so your warned. I love it! Best late night spot for a quick bite. They close late on the weekends.
Brew: They have a nice selection of craft and imported beers to choose from. I like to keep it simple with a traditional pilsner, crisp and refreshing. Sometimes they have some cool new beers worth trying while sitting down at the counter top smelling all that delicious pizza. Enjoy!

I’ve been here twice so far and I love both their regular slice and their pesto slice. If you love pesto then you should definitely try the pesto slice. I love the sweet sauce that they use in their regular slice. It’s very affordable too… can’t remember how much I spent but couldn’t be more than $ 7 for the two slices and a soda. The slices are also pretty large so it fills you up good. On my top pizza places list.

Good stuff! Pizza spot/restaurant open as late as a NYC club. The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars is because they didn’t have all toppings. maybe it was because it was midnight?! lol not sure. It does offer a sit down restaurant a few steps away from the walk up pizzeria. But the buzz is the slices. They go fast but they keep on making them! it’s crazy! at midnight?! lol :) score!

Late night pizzas are the best. Finally found something in Queens that’s open late besides fast food and diners. The pizza sauce here is a little sweeter than most places, but that’s one of the reasons I enjoy eating here. Place is a little small, it can get packed at times especially during the late night.
I dropped a star for service, the staff did not seem too engaging to us and they were about a foot away. Their focus would be mostly to each to each other. Other than that I do recommend this place, especially when all the other spots in Queens are closed.

I love pizza so here we go. This place rocks!!! I have only ordered a plain cheese slice but it is the Best plain pizza ever!!! Huge slices, not very saucy and just the right amount of cheese. The sauce is sweet and just delishhhhhhh.
Beer? Oh plenty of beer selection here. Mmmmm & they had my favorite Lindeman’s Framboise raspberry beer!!! Winning!!! I had a garden salad and some fresh mozzarella tomatoes to go with my pizza.
