Love getting slices here. The Sicilian and grandma Sicilian slices are to die for. If anything negative about this place is the parking. Can’t wait to go back.

Have been coming here since grade school and the place is as good as ever. Jack is the master patriarch and a community fixture.

Best. Grandma. Pizza. Ever. The marinara sauce is so delicious I could eat it on its own and the roasted garlic is so good and not over powering… just the best! Other slices don’t compare. If you come to Briarwood, get a grandma slice from Alba!

Nothing above average at this place. Is it just a coincidence that I managed to find hair in my chicken panini on more than 2 occasions… How about better service and a little less attitude… There are after all plenty of pizzerias to order from in Queens

The pizza is delicious! But I’m never ordering again because the delivery driver was so rude! Super lazy. He refused come to my building because he had others orders. So I was willing to work with him, I asked him to come to the gate nearest to me. He refused. My boyfriend had to walk across campus to get the food. Then he told me «well tell him to start walking now so he gets there when I do.» HEWASN’T EVENTHEREYET! I told him that he would have to wait for him to make it there and he said it was fine. So he called me back and told me the food was there. I politely reminded him that I did say it would take a few minutes for him to get across campus with a bad ankle. He laughed so I said«he’ll be there soon» and hung up. Completely unprofessional over the phone. He sent me a text within a minute of hanging up(which can be read below. I shouldn’t have blocked out the number). «I wanted you to pick it up personally.» Ummmm, excuse me? I was tempted to respond but I decided not to. This extremely lazy, rude, and unprofessional driver needs to be fired. Don’t order from here unless you feel like going for a quick jog before you have your meal.

My husband and I ordered pasta with vodka sauce. This is supposed to be a meatless dish. It is reasonable to expect that it will be a meatless dish, unless you order it with added chicken. It was kinda weird that my husband needed to use his inhaler during dinner. Now, after eating some of his leftovers, I see why. There were little shreds of chicken in it! There is no excuse for that. Vegetarians and people with meat allergies should be able to order a MEATLESS dish and have it ACTUALLY be meatless. No wonder it tasted weird. The pasta was badly cooked too. So not only does their cook put meat in food that’s supposed to be meatless, he/she can’t even boil pasta! This place used to be great. Too bad.

I used to order pizza from here frequently but the quality decreased to the point where it’s not worth it anymore. I haven’t had too much actually bad pizza in my life, but my last delivery from here was actually bad. I haven’t ordered since. I really want to like this place because it’s the closest pizza place to me in Briarwood, but I just can’t anymore.

Pretty good! I used to live in the neighborhood, but haven’t been to this pizzeria in years. I ordered the grandma pie based on the Unilocal reviews. I was very pleased. The pie was only $ 20 which I thought was very reasonable. The pie was fresh, not and just made from the oven. The sauce was very good, the crust was nice with just the right amount of doneness so that if you put it in the oven at home to reheat you would get a nice crispy crust. But the best thing about the pizza was the garlic cloves cooked on top of the pizza. Very nice touch. I will be ordering again. Also, when I placed the order, the guy said 25 minutes. I came in maybe after maybe 20 minutes and it was hot and waiting for me on top of the oven.

Alba! I don’t know what you do to that Grandma Sicilian pizza of yours but whatever it is, please don’t stop! It is beyond exceptional! This review is strictly for the Grandma Sicilian pizza and I will speak of nothing else. Fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce with the right balance of sweet and savory and topped with fresh roasted garlic. What do you get? A Grandma Sicilian slice that is worthy of a «Pizza Oscar» Now the thickness of the crust is a little more thicker than the average Grandma Sicilian slice that you’ll find in the city, but it has the perfect crunch and dough density that makes it all work. I like to get the corner slices and let me tell you kids, when I had my 1st taste of that baked Grandma Sicilian, words could not express my happiness as my senses of smell and taste were catapulted to another level. I literally transcended and became one with the pizza and reached pizza Nirvana! As the ending phrase line in the movie«Jerry Maguire» My alternate ending would say«Just Shut up Alba! You had me at Grandma Sicilian!» Now don’t procrastinate, get yourself over to Alba and pick up a Grandma Sicilian slice and while you’re there, pick up a slice or two for your Grandma and Grandpa as well, they would love to see you! CHEERS! :)

Great pizza here. Typical pizzeria that gets pretty busy with the high school near by. Definitely check it out.

Buffalo chicken pizza, YUM!(Only reason they get 4 stars is because delivery is a little long and the pizza was not that hot) The pizza does not disappoint!

I come to Albas on Friday evening about once a month. They have a great DJ in the back room and you can dance and they have Karaōke to sing too. They get a nice crowd and Iv always had a great time. The food is good and they are good at making changes to an order if you like. My problem first is the service. It’s pretty bad. He does not listen to your order and forgets things. Lemons, olive oil. His English is poor and the bus boy speaks no English at all! My second problem is with the portions. I order mozzarella & tomato and it is literally cut almost paper thin. I pay for artichoke hearts and I got a Half of a small heart! I ask for onions and it was overkill of onions. On the menu it said it comes with basil, well the basil what there was comes chopped up and you get a few flakes on top. I never got caprese served like that before. They seemed really cheap on their quality foods. I also got sautéed Spinich and it had no taste and way over cooked. Unfortunately I would never come here for the food. But the service is never good and if you get the woman she is really Rude. I’m giving it 3 stars because of the great Friday nights.

Good tasting filling food. A bit on the pricy side. Quick service. Friendly service. Section in the back for dinner reservations. Other than the price, not bad.

The only thing that I’ve gotten from here was pizza abd a drink. But I gotta say that it was pretty good pizza. The pizza was fresh, crisp, good flavor sauce and three cheese was melted perfectly. My cousin lives a few blocks away and said that they have other great dishes as well. I’m going to try to order from them and then I’ll update this review.

Pizza hits the spot! Crust is always crispy, not too doughy or oily. I’ve had so many different varieties of slices here and honestly none has failed me. Go for a plain slice to check the place out and it won’t disappoint. I’ve had the plain, the sausage and pepperoni, caesar salad, buffalo chicken slice, and all were great. Their sides aren’t bad either. I’ve so far tried the buffalo wings, although not amazing, were good. Their beef patties are also safe choices.

The best Grandma’s pizza, made with the owner’s family recipe sauce and roasted garlic. Love the lunch buffet, great variety of fresh food for a great price. I have been coming here since I moved to Briarwood about nine years ago, never had a bad experience. I have found that the employees are very accommodating within reason. The establishment has two separate rooms, the first one very casual and hectic, perfect for a quick bite. The second room is a more stylish with tablecloth and great atmosphere. LOVEIT

Although Archbishop Molloy High wasn’t in my academic future, many grammar school friends attended the school on the hill and Albas was our popular meeting spot. Ordering one regular slice and one Sicilian, just like I did way back then, the smell and cheese melting beauty quickly consumed my senses. We took the slices ‘to go’ as my friend opted not to sit in the impressively spacious back dining area. Five cheeses are used to create the common cheese topping and I heard the sauce is from hand crushed tomatos. Both slices were excellent, excelling in cheese and sauce yet keeping it original NYC style for both. The Sicilian had only a tiny wall of crust to hold on to, the rest of the slice was all cheese, sauce and dough. The owner and my friend have a relationship that spans decades and the time we spent chatting together, was time well spend. A very soft spoken man, interesting and jovial with the gusto of a twenty something.
