NTB Tire & Service Centers

I recently had my car serviced here. The guy at the counter was friendly and honest. The place was clean and service was quick. I will not be taking my car anywhere else from now.

I have been to NTB twice this year, each time with tire problems. These guys are very courteous, knowledgable and helpful.

So nice! Always helpful! Gave me a free tire rotation! I trust these men with my car.

been here a couple of times now to get my alignment done and every time I have been here the staff is friendly. I like ntb because they are open Sunday to Saturday and open early I believe 730 till late about 8pm. so if you need service done u can usually find a ntb to go to and open anytime of the week.

Like others that have commented on this location. If i could give a negative rating on this place, I would. I originally took my auto into this place to get a flat fixed and 5 hours later, came out paying over 800 dollars for maintenance that didn’t needed; although they insist that the fixes (struts, one new tire, and other craps) are highly needed. I walked away paying for POOR workmanship that caused me to come back for more work because they insist again more issues which never were. Still today, my auto still are not correctly fixed and have paid over 1100 for total garbage. This place should put itself out of missery and shut its doors. Completely 100% would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’m extremely disappointment… I guess is back to Discount Tire for me… is not the price… I research and they have the SAME PRICE… is the SERVICE!!!
I get a flat tire… I didn’t «roll» the car with the flat because I didn’t to mess it up… I called AAA to have them change the tire… when the guy came in and change the tire, I asked him… specifically… if I had ruined the tire… this is TRIPLE A… He said… NO… the tire was fine and it could be patched…
When I got to this store… I was told I need the tire… and it couldn’t be patched. I told him the guy from AAA said… and he said… «IT’S THE LAW MA’AM… I CANNOT PATCH THE TIRE»…
The law? That is the biggest BS…
Went to Discount Tire… and they patched… I guess… I should’ve never change companies…

After being a loyal tire customer to Discount Tires for many years, I decided to try out NTB. I was a sucker for their by 2 tires get 2 free. The only catch is you need to pay for their premium tire installation package that is expensive. If you have expensive tires it still seems like a descent deal… HOWEVER: It comes at a price!
1. Wait times are very long. Especially when you return in the future for «free» tire rotations and balancing. They can take all day sometimes.
2. When you bring your car back for the free rotations and balancing or to remove a nail in your tire– this is when they seem to want to find other problems that weren’t there before. Also several times my TPMS on one of my tires seems to somehow break after coming here and had to spend money to fix! Coincidence??? One has to wonder? Only seemed to happen here but never when I was going to Discount Tire Center.
3. Lifetime wheel alignments– after having these done, my car still seems to pull one way and my steering wheel is NOT aligned straight when driving! Again, seems like after you spent extra money up front for lifetime services, it doesn’t seem like they do good work on future returns.
4. Bought tires that were supposed to last 80,000 miles and they only lasted 40,000. When I would return for rotations and point out that they were wearing out fast, they would just try to feed me a BS story why… Whatever!!! I decided it wasn’t even worth it to try and hold them to the warranty to credit me back ½ the cost towards replacement tires!
I’ve owned cars for a very long time and use to do a lot of my own repairs when I was younger. I have dealt with good mechanics and bad and have developed a pretty good idea about when a repair shop is honest. Based on my experiences here and also talking to a former mechanic that worked here, I would NOT recommend using this facility for anything, even if it’s just your tires!
If you need tires, go to Discount Tire Center because they don’t offer any other services so they have no reason to mess with anything on your car! I have gone to many different Discount Tire Centers between Houston and California and never had any issues with them.
So save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. No body likes going to a mechanic but there are better options out there!
The only good thing I can say about this place is they have a nice big waiting area since they make you wait forever… And ever… And ever!!!
This review is NOT based on a single service but rather my experience over 4 – 5 years and 3 different vehicles.

I change my tire they damaged the wheel and as soon as I drove out and came back in 5 mins they said I damaged it, so I have to pay again for tire and to fix wheel, worst service dont ever go again

Car wouldn’t start after work I was able to get it home make a few calls and NTB said bring it over. It was around 6:12pm and Erik got my car in and looked at it. Came out and explained that the battery was bad and wanted to show me the battery connector that was also an issue. He also covered the cost and how long it would take to put a new battery in and fix the cable issue. Like Erik said it was done in about 45 minutes. I will be back for other services in the future and they are easier to deal with than the dealership. Great job!

I brought in 4 tires to be mounted and balanced. I asked for a quote at this NTB and was told $ 175 with tax. The fee breakdown was: balance $ 44 mount $ 80 TPMS repair and reset $ 33 shop fee $ 16.
I was told since I was bringing in my own tires, they would have to charge me twice to dismount my old tires and install my new tires.
I would not recommend and will not be coming back to this location.

I have been a customer here for almost 3 years, mostly oil changes as I own a 2010 Tundra, and have not needed anything major. I was getting some wear on the edge of my new tires and took my truck in to see why this was happening. I was told I needed new struts and would cost $ 710. New struts on a 2010 Tundra with 60K miles? That is driven on the freeway 95% of the time??? Sounded like BS to me. I said no thank you. Then the sales clerk said he would give me $ 100 off to get my business. Again I said no thank you. The sales clerk then says «since I have your truck up on the rack I can do it for $ 510.» Is this NTB in Cinco Ranch or am I negotiating with Tijuana Tire? At this point the stench of rat permeated the room… oh by the way, my father owns a Midas in the Dallas area (a franchise of NTB, and I disclosed this to the sales person when I dropped off my truck… My family is in the business! Come on!). It turns out, my truck needed an alignment $ 59, my struts were near new condition.
I have told this story to other auto repair shop owners in the Katy area, without revealling the unscrupulous NTB name. Two seperate times, I was asked by smiling owners who have heard similar stories «which NTB did you go to?» It seems NTB in the Katy area is filled with hustlers preying on people who do not have the benefit of having family and friends in the business to tell them the truth about care repair.
In short, NTB in Cinco Ranch are ripoff artists.

Terrible place. Every time I’ve been here or called them, the employees are more concerned with trying to peddle me their crap instead of giving me information. Their aggressive approach to their business is unacceptable. Don’t go here.

we really like this NTB! I am not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but yes, they take a while, but that’s to be expected! What we usually do is i follow my husband up there, and we drop the car off, then we go eat, or shop, or go home and then come back and pick it up whenever. They aren’t rude ever to us, and they are always very professional! we only come here for our oil changes and usually find a coupon on line, or on store receipts for $ 19 oil change with tire rotation. that’s pretty good, we think!

Great service! They took care of me and replaced my flat tire. It took a little over an hour on a Sunday afternoon. At least the they had the football game on in the waiting area!

Never again! I have a mechanic I usually use, but took my car to NTB for an alignment so I could get the year warranty on it. Figured I’d get an oil change while to save some time, because its pretty hard to screw up an oil change.
After getting my vehicle up on the rack, they showed me a fluid leak and said it was my steering rack. They’d be happy to fix it, but its $ 1600. Took my car the next day to my mechanic who told me a transmission drain seal was leaking, not my steering rack. total cost of about $ 200. Afterthe diagnosis, I told him what NTB said, and he laughed. Oh and I have a second leak because the dude at NTB only half way put my oil pan drain plug back in.

Hands down worse place for oil change. I was the first person there when door open up and the guy there said 1 hour and 45 min. Then wanted to charge me more for oil filter they did not have in stock. Another thing, the guy up front is not friendly or care if you do business with them.

Went in with one of their coupons I received in the mail for a $ 17.99 oil change and tire rotation. When it was all said and done I walked out after paying $ 47 for this service. Was told that the coupon covers six quarts but my Expedition requires seven quarts and I’d have to pay extra for that. They also tried to charge me for the tire rotation that was covered as part of the coupon. While they did get me in and out relatively quickly I feel cheated on the extra quart of oil that cost $ 30.

Update: Fernando Garcia, store manager, was unwavering in his commitment to his sales number. In other words, he was unable to help me. Instead of trying to solve my immediate problem, he tried to sell me additional services.
Taking it to the regional level to see if they can help me.

I also agree. Don’t go to this location! I went in there to get two nails on my tire patched. After 2 hours they finally fixed it. I noticed they only patched 1 of the two nails, so I told them to fix the other one, after 1 more hour I finally got my car back. As I’m driving home my TPMS– tire preassure monitor system, comes on displaying tire sensor error. I turn around and go back and asked them about it, their answer was «the sensor resets after driving a couple of miles». 3 days later no change, I go back AT 8AM! and tell them to replace the sensor that they damaged, so they try and charge me for it and give me all this bs. So I said not paying for something I didn’t damage. 3 hours later they start working on my car and then they tell me they don’t have the sensor, that they just ordered it and is in route. 4 hours later the sensor is not here. So I’m fed up with it and complain. Again they say is not their fault they can’t do anything. Is now 3:30PM and my car is still sitting in the same place.
Please save your money and time! DONT COME HERE!

If I could give this place no stars I would in a heart beat. I’ve been to many tire stores across our great nation and this had to be hands down the worst experience out of them all.
I just went in there for an oil change, and they told me it would be 45 mins in and out. I thought that was a good time, and it was the 2^nd day of the NFL draft and i needed it to be quick. There wasn’t anyone there and not many cars on the lifts, so i thought it would be quick. 2.5 hours later, and missing the Texans 2^nd round pick, I finally get my car back. Who takes 2.5 hours to do an oil change. Then to top it off, less then a week later my car is now leaking oil.
While I was there, they lost one customers keys and gave a lady the run around about using coupons. When he finally did accept them he gave her the wrong discount twice, she had to correct him both times. Just the most incompetent assembly of workers i have ever had the displeasure of coming across.
Avoid this location at all cost, just a terrible all around experience.
