I found Maile on the knot… We decided last min to elope while we were vacationing on Kauai. Kaye was great she responded to all of my messages immediately. She showed us a few beach locations .She booked our minister & photographer. We couldn’t have been more pleased! We didn’t have to worry or stress about anything she even took us to sign our marriage license. Patrick Powell was so nice. He helped make our special day even more special. The photographer Lori was absolutely amazing… We Paid for the ginger package of 70 – 100 photos … She gave us over 200 photos edited within 3 days of the wedding … She had us over to preview our pictures and gave us copies on a usb drive to keep with all photos rights! She had to of been the nicest person I’ve ever met … I am like most girls. I feel fat and am very insecure and she made me feel so beautiful on my special day… Worth every penny! I highly recommend Maile wedding planner!

Kaye is amaZing! She took care of all the arrangements for my wedding on the beach in Kauai. There was no stress at all. She found a perfect spot for the ceremony, and then we had an unforgettable photo shoot. The pictures she took are so beautiful. I would definitely recommend Kaye! She is professional, helpful, and responds immediately to any question you have. My wedding was magical because of her!

I planned my daughters wedding and could not be happier with the way everything turned out. Kay was great! She was always available when I called and very helpful. Planning a wedding over the phone and online can be very stress full but Kay made everything easy. I highly recommend using her service. Photographer also did an excellent job and got the pictures done in a rush for me as I needed them for her reception in California. My daughter was married on 12÷26÷15

Where do I even begin. We got married August 22, 2015 and I wish I could relive that day everyday. Everything was perfect. Kaye did an amazing job with everything. Planning a wedding from California was scary at first until I got in contact with Kaye. We started planning about a year out. Kaye always answered my calls and emails right away was never left waiting for answers I always knew what was going on. She recommended the location of the reception and ceremony it was beautiful and the food was amazing!!! Throughout the planning I know I changed some things and it was never an issue. My bouquet and center pieces were beautiful as well. Kaye posted some of the pictures on her Facebook page I love them and can’t wait to see the rest. Kaye made my dream wedding a reality. She took care of everything so that we could enjoy the day without all the stress that a wedding typically has. She works with great vendors and was able to make sure we had a good officiant, musician, florist, and videographer. She even arranged for everything at our reception site.

My husband and I decided to plan a last minute beach wedding during our trip to Kauai. With only two months advanced notice, we picked Maile Weddings based on the reviews and packages offered. Kaye made the process very easy, kept in touch via email and phone, and organized a beautifully intimate ceremony at the St. Regis Beach. Our officiant Larry was kind and funny. And the photos taken by Kaye turned out beautifully, despite the cloudy weather. Thank you guys so much! We will never forget the experience.

Long overdue update regarding the photos. While the Ginger Wedding Package we selected guaranteed 75 – 100 photos, Kaye actually took a lot more! Which was great, because not all photos will be flattering. Kaye sent us a CD with all 214 photos she had taken, and I loved being able to sort through them all to select the best ones (as I’m very picky). THANK YOU Kaye!

We cannot say enough how delighted we are to have selected Kay at Maile Weddings and Photography as our wedding planner for our Wedding on Kauai. My husband and I researched wedding planners online for several weeks and settled on three companies. Kay, as we would later learn is her norm, responded back to us promptly. She is extremely thorough, organized and caring with each of her clients. I honestly felt like we were her only customer during our planning process. We explained to Kay exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day to be and she helped us narrow down every aspect of the wedding from the beach where we would be married (Ke’e), the right package «Ginger» with the flexibility of adding additional options and the type of ceremony that resonated with us. Kay’s passion for what she does shines through in every interaction we had with her.
It is very difficult to imagine planning a wedding from so far away however we never had a moment of stress or worry while working with Kay. We were confident from the start that we were in exceptional hands. Every detail was taken care of up to and including the day we said our vows.
As I was boarding the plane for Hawaii I contacted Kay in a panic to find someone that could steam my dress and press my fiancé’s attire and she came to my rescue with the name and number of a wonderful woman who did an amazing job for us. Kay went over and above for us and was kind enough to pick up my dress at the other end of the island where she was heading later that day, which saved us time and allowed us to enjoy more time on the island.
The ceremony was perfect, the pictures are beautiful and the bouquet was gorgeous. We could not have asked for a more amazing and special day and we truly owe it all to Kay.

Kaye did a wonderful job coordinating our wedding. She was very patient and helped me with every detail. The pictures she took were spectacular. I highly recommend her to anyone who is getting married on Kauai.

Working with Kaye to plan our wedding was great. We wanted a simple, yet elegant, traditional Hawaiian beach wedding, and she made it happen (complete with conch shell blower, Hawaiian musician, and a fabulous officiant — Manulele Clarke). Kaye was very responsive — which is a huge factor when you’re trying to plan something from California, and she provided a lot of guidance without taking over. We were so impressed with how smoothly everything ran, and we got our photo CD within a couple of weeks of returning from our trip. I highly recommend her services.

Kaye was our wedding planner and photographer for our October wedding in Poipu Kauai. When we arrived on the island, Kaye took us on a tour of possible beach locations to find the best for our aging parents to comfortably park close by and walk out onto. She recommended a amazing friendly local woman who was able to press my dress and my husbands suit so they were not wrinkled for the big day from the plane ride over. Kaye coordinated our officiant (non denominational which fit us best) musician and videographer. Kaye found an amazing hair/​makeup artist for me as well named Mia. She worked within our budget and recommended a suitable close-​by reception venue Plantation Gardens, which provided amazing grounds as a backdrop for photos and a delicious dinner for our small party of 12 guests. Kaye was also able to suggest a suitable way of honoring my brother who passed away recently by incorporating a portion of our ceremony to him and the others we have lost by dropping flower blossoms into the waves and water and letting the ocean take them out to sea. She was great about taking small payments from us leading up to the wedding and also let us negotiate being able to get the RAW files for both our pictures and video. My husband and I are both photographers/​videographers so we did really appreciate that. Joel our wedding videographer did something amazing with a drone and go pro photographing us on a cliff which was pretty spectacular. I wish I could have heard my own vows more clearly in the video but besides that it was done very well. I’m very glad Kaye recommended him. As for the photos, Kaye was pretty good with the email communication before the wedding also. The only regrets I have are not being able to get all the photos I had wanted since I spent money on sparklers and shipped them over to Hawaii special for the event and we weren’t able to use them at all that was a little disappointing to me. Also we didn’t get a ring photo with both our wedding bands in the sand as I had wanted. I did send some photo inspiration of these shots to Kaye beforehand but with the events before the wedding with my brothers death I wasn’t able to reiterate the importance of those pictures to me. I suppose its mostly the fact of me being a photographer myself that makes me picky about the photos and video. But I have to say Kaye was extremely professional and did go out of her way to make sure we had everything else we needed. We found out she was also the wedding coordinator for my friends who were married 5 years ago in Kauai also which was a surprise as it wasn’t even a factor into my decision to hire her as our wedding planner but I was so happy to hear that when we found out because their wedding was just gorgeous! All in all it was a perfect day and the few issues we had were not anything that took away from our wedding at all. Our guests have just raved about the experience and those who couldn’t make it to Hawaii love our photographs which really showcase the emotion and happiness of the day.

Kaye did a wonderful job as our wedding coordinator this past October at Hanaley Bay Resort. She is so prompt, always answering emails within a day or so, which took away a lot of the stress of planning. She made great recommendations for all the vendors – all of whom were exceptional, made our appointment for our marriage license and even stayed through the whole wedding and reception to make sure everything went as planned. Kay knows the ins-​and-​outs of weddings and receptions and because of her, my wedding day was just what I wanted – fun and stress free. Mahalo Kaye!

Kaye was wonderful to work with. She made everything so easy. We had a beautiful sunset wedding on the North Shore, having never been there before. Kaye worked out all the details we wouldn’t have even known to think about. She even had my dress pressed for me before we even arrived on the island. She is experienced, knowledgeable, reliable, easy to work with from afar, and very responsive to any questions or concerns. What else could you ask for? I highly recommend her.

Kaye is absolutely amazing! I live in Massachusetts and my husband and I decided against having a big wedding at home and went to Kauai for a small wedding of 8 people. Kaye was efficient, always responding to emails within the day (even with a 6 hour time difference!), professional and highly knowledgeable. Our wedding was completely stress free because she took care of every last detail, all we had to do was get to the beach on time! She was also our photographer and our wedding pictures are absolutely beautiful. Our wedding day was just perfect!

My now husband and I contacted kaye from San Diego to organize a small beach ceremony while vacationing in kauai. She set up the appointment with the license agent, helped with selecting the location, found our officiate (Rev Glenn was awesome), and even brought our lei. On top of all that, she took amazing pictures of our special day. It was just myself, my then fiancé and our 4 year old son and we wanted tons of beautiful pictures to share with our families. Kaye directed us perfectly and captured the moment (and with a 4 year old that can be a challenge!) I would absolutely recommend using Kaye to anyone planning a wedding or simple ceremony in kauai

Unilocal should have a 6-​star rating reserved for people like Kaye! We had a small wedding (just the two of us), but even then there’s arrangements that need to be taken care of. When you’re trying to make those arrangements from the mainland, handling even small things becomes major. Who needs that stress?
Our trip and wedding were last-​minute due to our always-​changing schedules. With 3 week’s notice Kaye was able to arrange for everything we needed for an absolutely perfect day — and that included a fairly last-​minute date change on our end due to family matters.
From the first point of contact she consistently replied almost immediately and never failed to answer any question we had or handle any request we had, and the only decision we had to make was which type of ceremony we wanted and once we got to the island, which location we liked best from the options she showed us.
Flowers, hair, makeup, license appointment, location & permits, officiant, music, photography, videography — the ability to arrange for all of that with a single email from our end was priceless! You’re planning your wedding — you have enough to worry about — lose the stress and let Kaye handle the details!

Working with Kaye to plan my destination wedding on Kauai was a true sanity saver.
I started wedding planning about 11 months before my actual wedding date, but I didn’t get to actually work with Kaye until 5 months to my wedding day. That’s because for 6 months prior to working with Kaye, I was unfortunately working with another wedding planner on Kauai, who I ended up having to fire. The first planner consistently would take a week or more to respond to simple questions (which can be quite stressful when you’re planning a wedding from afar) — but even worse, I found out 6 months in that the first planner did not book crucial items such as the venue and certain vendors, even though she insisted that she did.
After I realized that I’d have to fire my original wedding planner, I was anxiously searching online for reviews of other wedding planners on Kauai. I decided on two that I wanted to speak to further. Speaking with Kaye on our first call was a breath of fresh air. She was so knowledgeable, and I could tell that she was extremely on top of things. She also got back to me right away when I said I was interested in working with her, something that the first planner didn’t do (which should have been a sign to me back then). I ended up hiring Kaye the next day after our call as I knew that I’d be in good hands with her. Not only that, but her wedding coordination fees were also extremely reasonable.
After having fired the first planner, and basically feeling like the first 6 months of wedding planning went to waste, being able to work with Kaye was truly refreshing as I was quite stressed out at that point. Kaye immediately took care of things and made sure everything was booked. She has a confident, no-​nonsense type of attitude which makes one feel so reassured especially when you’re so far away. One of my favorite things about Kaye was how quickly she’d respond to my phone calls and emails. After being accustomed to not hearing back from my first planner for a week or more at a time, seeing Kaye’s responses come back to me anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours later was a welcome change. I was extremely fortunate to find Kaye, as she really helped me feel at ease with wedding planning once I started working with her.
My only regret is not having worked with Kaye from the very start of my wedding planning — it would have saved a lot of stress and wasted time! My husband and I were married October 12, 2013, but we’d been planing our wedding since June 2012. I contacted several wedding coordinators on Kauai but most dilly-​dallied in responding to my inquiries about packages and so forth, not Kaye. Kaye responded promptly and provided me with all the information I needed and after the first email, Kaye was my planner.
Kaye had such an assortment of locations, options and different wedding scenarios it was so easy to pick exactly what I wanted. I changed my mind more than several times and each time Kaye was as understanding as the the first. She made everything so simple and easy all we had to do is show up for the rehearsal and wedding.
On the rehearsal day, a couple people were late getting to the sight and Kaye was not upset in the slightest. She was very professional and executed the rehearsal and ceremony without a hitch. We were married at the Hanalei Bay Resort in Princeville, Kauai and it was an absolutely beautiful location.
I recommend Kaye to anyone who plans on getting married in Kauai, you couldn’t pick a better coordinator!
