Specialties

We specialize in tropical palms, and carry common and many rare varieties, including Red Sealing Wax, Biskmarkia, Cabadae, Lucubensis, Areca vesteria, Pritchardia, Coccothrinax, and Pinanga palms to name a few. We also carry many varieties of colorful Crotons and Ti plants, and have a large selection of unique forms developed at our nursery including dwarf Ti varieties. Additionally, we carry tropical shrubs, flowering trees and plants, and many varieties of groundcover. Our top sellers include Ground Orchids (Grapette, Pinkette, and more!), Yellow Bush Allamanda, Tiare and Tahitian Gardenia’s, Ape’s, Agapanthus, and Day Lilies.

History

Established in 1980.

Kauai Seascapes Nursery, Inc. (KSN) is a family owned and operated business. KSN was started in the early 80’s by Steve Roush as a «backyard nursery», lawn and garden service. It transitioned into a lush tropical nursery and landscaping business when the Roush family (wife Mary, and daughters Serina and Michelle) moved to Kalihiwai Ridge in 1992. Steve became a collector and brought in unique palms from all over the world. He also had an obsession with Ti plants, and cross pollinated and developed many new hybrid Ti’s in unique and vibrant colors. After Steve’s death from melanoma cancer in April 2011, wife Mary Roush and daughter Serina Roush have taken over the management of the business and nursery. Kauai Seascapes Nursery, Inc. remains a place devoted to plant propagation and new hybrid varieties of cross bred seedlings and has a fine collection of botanical specimens. We strive to provide unique and quality plant specimens for our clients on Kauai.
