Blazin’ Steaks

I come to Windward Mall every once a while and since they closed down the blazin’steak in the Kalihi location, I always come here when I’m in the area. The steak is good but that customer service sucks here. The employees work extra slow and are very snobby. We get to the cashier and the girl just looks at us. No «hello» or «can I take your order?» On the top of that we waited 5 minutes till she was done talking to her friend that was visiting her.
Poor customer service, please reevaluate your employees on how they act.

I came in on Sat Dec 12 about 6pm and ordered a regular steak plate with all rice, when I got home I opened it up and it had tons of rice which was unexpected, but the steak on it was really well done and had no taste. Was so disappointing since I have eaten here many times before and enjoyed the food.
On a positive note, the cashier was really nice and friendly to me and everyone else who was waiting there.

Then they became a franchise and I really dreaded coming because it wasn’t the same as when they first opened, today I come in and I am only seeing one worker, working the grill and cash register! I feel totally bad for him right now because he is getting slammed, and he still has excellent customer service, I cannot complain, I won’t even complain if my food is burnt or not! Just they need to hire more workers ASAP! This guy is bussing his A** ! I really hope they can at lease have other workers from other blazins come and help! Idk what this boys name is but he deserves guarantee more than what he’s getting paid!!! Come on blazin steaks if you’re the owner, you should at lease help your EMPLOYEE out!!!

I’ll give two stars simply because I’ve had worse experiences. If the steak was good I could probably overlook the rest, but it was mediocre at best.
Negatives:
–Cash only? At a mall? Join the 21^st century already
–Prices not good. Can get better steak plate lunch cheaper. ($ 12.50 for cheap steak)
–Steak was about ¹⁄₃ gristle and cooked medium to medium rare. Chicken out of stock so denied combo.
–Drinks small & overpriced AND they charge 50% for refills.
Positives:
–Order had minimal wait.
–Meal comes w/​rice & salad (for that price it should tho)
Won’t be a returning customer and not sure I’d try any other locations. Too much real competition to deal with substandard product on this island.

Not gonna lie, its not the same as when they first started. Back in the day when they had their first store, the steak was prepared to order and it was $ 6. That pretty much started the whole steak place craze. But even though its slightly different, its always a great place for me to stop by a pick up a quick lunch. Can’t go wrong with steak.

Go else where. Came here this weekend to get something quick to eat. I love Blazing Steak in windward mall and thought this place would be the same. Boy was I wrong. The girl at the cash register is very uneventful. It seemed as if she had no personality. I placed my order and noticed that they cook their food in frying pans. Not like other locations where they use the large skillet looking stove top. This process with the frying pans really slowed down the speed of service. There were 4 people in the joint waiting for food. One guy even told the girl behind the counter that he will come back to get his food because it was taking to long. I also want to comment on the unsanitary conditions this place has. The girl who obviously just handled money was using her bare, dirty hands to place the salad on the plates. I will not be returning to this location.

If you want to eat here, be prepared to wait half an hour for your food.
As soon as I walked into the restaurant, there was a line which I had no problem with. When it was my turn to order, the cashier told me that the girl who closed the night before didn’t make rice so the rice would be done in a few minutes, which again, I had no problem with. My problem I waited at least half an hour for my food. It was a total waste of my time. The cook was working so slow & the other girl just stood around doing nothing. Poor organization. Highly doubt I’ll be going back.

I ordered the mini garlic chicken with no rice and no vegetables and asked for broccoli which was an additional $ 1. When I got home, I found on my plate, the chicken with 4 – 5 tiny little stalks of broccoli! I was shocked! And to think I had paid $ 7.50 for something that looked like that! So unpresentable!!!
When I called, I told the girl that I couldn’t believe what my plate looked like! She said «But I only charged you $ 5.50.» No she didn’t because I paid a total of $ 16.75 for 2 Mini Plates. (The other mini steak plate had 2 add-​ons which were $ 2 more, so
I paid $ 8.50 for the second mini plate).
Now I see why their business is so slow!

Definitely the best fast food steak I’ve had, and it’s at a great price. It comes with rice and salad, but you could get double rice or double salad if you wanted. A great place for a quick meal, I made the trip here a couple of times when I was staying on the Marine Corps base. I’m sure it seems like a sketchy place, because who would expect a quick steak meal to be good? However, this was great, and there is a selection of types of steaks you can have. There is also chicken and shrimp, if steak isn’t really your thing. I just had the regular steak, and I have nothing but great things to say about it! Great for a cheap meal on an expensive island.

This is one of my favorite go-​to spots, spicy garlic steak plate hits the spot every time!

Despite the negative reviews, we decided to try this location. Food was good, service was courteous and fast. Not sure what others are talking about, but would go again.

The food was good, not great. The service was horrible. The guy stared at me when I walked in, never acknowledged me. Then after my food was done he didn’t bag my order but nudged the package over to me, then I basically had to grab my own salad dressing. Just a heads up… Your joint isn’t the only place that serves steak. Disappointed.

Do not order the thai peanut chicken. It’s luke warm grilled chicken with a ton of peanut butter on top. So bad. My husband’s steak was good but also luke warm. Blazin steaks please get some real peanut sauce and heat up your food before serving it.

Only if they had a vegetarian meal. :(
Have to come here for the meat eating boyfriend. The prices are higher than other locations but the interior is much nicer.
Also, every time we come to a blazing steaks they are out of chicken. It’s 2pm and they don’t have chicken? How is that possible?
Come on blazing steaks, get some sort of veggie option for us herbivores :/

It is crazy at the mall today and Blazin Steaks is no different. Some guy ordered food for his whole troop and they had to ring it over which causes the line to grow a bit. The cashier was somewhat polite. I had a good wait for my food to be ready too — 15 minutes. They knew they had to hustle and did to a point, but people who ordered after me got their plates before me. I also didn’t like the way the guy just tossed my box of food at me and walked away. Very poor service and bad attitude. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this place at the mall again. I should’ve gone somewhere else.

When Blazin’ Steaks opened a few years ago, we checked it out. It was a disappointment. Tonight we paid $ 21.88 for 2 orders: 1) Garlic Shrimp and 1) Steak n Garlic Combo, 2 scoops of rice n 2 scoops of Mac salad each. The servings were ample and we were impressed! Everything was yummy! Glad they have improved! Sorry I waited so long for our second visit. Definitely going back more often now!!! Thanks for a great meal at an affordable price Blazin’ Steaks!!! Keep up the good work!

I love their steak plates! But what I usually go for is there breakfast plates. The breakfast combo plate is so cheap and affordable. The breakfast combo has Portuguese sausage, spam, eggs, and rice. The potions are huge in all the plates. Plus they sell breakfast till 12pm, that’s for eggs to order. If not you can order breakfast at any time of the day, but it’s with scrambled eggs only.
The service is fast. You don’t have to wait long for your food.

Over priced for the quality and portion of food I received. I am solely comparing this restaurant to other Blazin’ Steaks I’ve gone to in the past. I would be more likely to go to the L&L a few stores down from this location than spend my money on subpar food.

Picked up dinner from this location on 7÷23÷14. I was the only customer and there was only 1 guy behind the counter. I ordered a spicy chicken plate and a Korean chicken plate, both with extra mushrooms. He swiped my credit card, but didn’t give me a receipt. The free drink was nice, but not necessary. When I got home, both plates didn’t have any mushrooms. The spicy chicken was fine, but my Korean chicken didn’t have any taste at all. The sauce he squeezed on the plain cooked chicken was soaked up by the rice. At least the salad greens were fresh, but I didn’t go there for salad. Make sure you check your order before leaving. Or better yet, go to the Windward Mall location instead. Their food and service is so much better!
