I will give this pizza place a 4 star because of the quality of deep dish pizza. We ordered the local favorite called the Wombo Combo and it was amazing. Now for the downfall, the girl didn’t know how to take our order. We kida stumbled over it with her until we ordered. We had this employee named Jim that went out of his way to help our family which made the experience over the top. Great Pizza and Great atmosphere!

I used to love this place! The wait was always a bit long — which was well worth it before. Now they’ve expanded — it’s all bright and new — but the ambiance is gone and the wait remains. Boo. Now the long wait and the high prices just aren’t worth it. Take a drive to Brick Oven in Kaneohe… This Kailua haunt has changed and not for the better :( 2medium and 1 small pizza, a mediocre salad bar and 2 drinks = 89.00+tip

Best pizza in town! Newly renovated dining area now boasts a bigger bar for adults and arcade gaming area for kids(separately). This place is always busy so be prepared to wait over 30 minutes if you’re ordering dine in or take out. There’s a modest salad bar. Only downside in my opinion is they serve Pepsi products instead of Coke.

Well, where to begin… First off, this place looks nice. Honestly, kind of preferred the old décor, but it works. Same concept, order at counter, pay and wait. When you pay at the counter, there is the usual tip slot to fill out… before you even get served. WTF… Tip before service… fo’ reals? I have no idea if the customer service depends on your tip at the register(before any actual service), but based on our experience it does. We opted to not tip at the counter and see how service was and tip in cash. GREATIDEA! We rolled in at 3ish on a Tuesday, late lunch. 3 keiki, 2 adults. Ordered one large specialty pizza($ 28), 5 salad bars($ 8.49×5) and 5 waters. 73bucks… yup…$ 73. Again…$ 73 mf dollars. My fault for not understanding the salad bar option. Its confusing… and a marketing scam genius. Ok… besides the cost, which I can get past for not paying better attention to… the service, oh the service. OMG is all I can say. 10 minutes at the table, still no water. Three tables in the restaurant and all of them eating and we are all on our second round of salad, which we had to get our own forks for. Still no water. Finally waitress stops by to drop off water and says pizza will be up shortly. Five empty salad bowls, which we conveniently combined for her were ready for clearing at the end of the table. NOPE… that would be too much to do. As we are enjoying the decent salad bar, my son looks at a sign(I didn’t see it) and tells me pizzas take 20+ minutes to cook… cool, no issues. We have no place we need to be in a hurry. 20+ minutes go by, the salad bar bowls stack up(conveniently arranged and ready for clearing at the edge of the table) and our pizza arrives. We help her set it down… and THEN… she asks… no freaking kidding…“Do you need plates?”. Yes, we do need plates… you are kidding… RIGHT??? To top it off, no condiments on table. My son had to go up and get the packets of parm cheese and red peppers by the ordering counter. And holy crap, it just gets worse. Pizza is undercooked, completely doughy in the middle(it was much better when cooked thoroughly at home). So…bad pizza, decent(overpriced) salad bar, TERRIBLE service… which we knew… but 100% confirmed when we noticed the waitress sitting at the bar right next to the order counter(by the entrance) chowing down and texting. The pizza was terrible, undercooked and over priced. The service was beyond terrible. I left the worst tip I have EVER left anywhere in 20 years and honestly do not feel one bit of guilt about it. We live so close and will NEVER be back. Auwe RTP!!!

I have not been to a Round Table Pizza in many years so when I saw this one I decided to stop in for lunch. This was a very clean restaurant and, when I went, it wasn’t busy at all. Even the restroom was much cleaner than I would have expected of a pizza parlor. They had a small game room that would have been great if the kids were with me. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive. I had a lunch special that included a one-topping pizza, salad bar and a drink. The salad bar was well stocked but I felt like someone rushed to put it together. For example, the cucumber slices were really thick — about twice as thick as you would normally expect — so I felt that whoever was doing the prep work was just chopping away quickly without real regard for how it came out. The pizza was good. Nothing spectacular but certainly better than a Pizza Hut Personal Pan pizza. The crust was thick and chewy and there was plenty of cheese and a good amount of pepperoni. With the salad bar, it was certainly filling. I would probably not stop in on my own again but I would bring the family in if we were in the area.

OMG, ever since Round Table Pizza had their renovations done, it’s like insanity there. Oodles of workers but awful service. How disappointing. It’s obvious there is no organization nor is there any professionalism in how they handle, well, anything. The wait is 45 minutes to an hour, I’m not kidding. That in itself is hard but becomes unacceptable when you witness other people coming in after you yet getting their pizza before you. I’ve ordered take out also and it seems like these young employees are clueless, simply clueless. Gone are the wonderful days when the late John Parker and his lovely wife ran this restaurant. There was efficiency and service and a personal touch. John’s main goal was to have a satisfied customer. Unfortunately, that is not the reality today. Makes it difficult to want to return here.

I checked out Round Table for the 1st time last night, and left with a good overall impression after a fun night. It was my sons soccer teams end of season celebration(and awards), so we booked a table for a Monday night at 6:30. They offered us a package deal(4 pizzas, 4 pitchers of soft drinks) at a reduced price as we were a large group, which was great. If you’re there in a small group, get a table near the bar(which has some beers on tap), there’s just more atmosphere there. The main area of the restaurant reminds me of a dining hall, in that it’s large, with lots of big tables, and just feels a little soul-less. We had a corner of the room devoted to us, which was well signed to avoid any confusion. The service was prompt and friendly, and the kids all enjoyed the pizzas, which were plenty big and loaded with toppings. There’s a small arcade/video game area too which certainly took the kids attention(bring plenty of quarters or $ 1 bills). Overall, i wouldn’t come back for a «nice meal», but would entertain but would certainly consider it for grabbing a quick meal and a couple of beers with a friend. I definitely will keep it in mind for just getting the kids a pizza out somewhere, or for a kids pizza party.

Beat pizza in the state. Large king Arthur with Portuguese sausage can’t be beat. My favorite is pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushroom and olives. This place is very popular, better to come at odd times or be prepared to wait an hour or more.

The food is still very good, but since the renovation, they’ve really gone downhill in terms of speed, service and common sense. The first time I went back following the renovations I tried to use the last $ 8 of a gift card I’d used before. Their computer showed the correct balance but wouldn’t let them apply it to my order. Same thing the next visit– they said they were working on the problem. Twice recently, I called in a takeout order. The first time the cashier took my money and then started to wait on the next person without even checking to see if my pizza was ready. I waited until they were done, then asked if anyone had checked on my pizza. The cashier asked to see my receipt, then pointed to an area and said«See that– it means your pizza is ready.» We looked at each other for a few seconds before he went back to the pizza oven where my pizza had been sitting on top since I’d arrived. The second time, I ordered and they said the pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. We got there in about 25 minutes. We decided to eat the pizza there, got one salad bar and 2 drinks. I asked the cashier if we could get the drinks first. He said he would try to find someone to get the drinks, as he was alone at the register. Just to his left, 2 employees were at the bar watching TV. About 10 minutes later they brought the drinks, and about 15 minutes after we’de arrived we got the pizza– twice the time they’d said. This was on a Sunday just before noon, with about 10 customers in the restaurant. After the renovation the interior looks nice and new, but very impersonal and generic. At least the old place had a nice character to it. The renovations were completed some time ago but they seem to have ongoing problems with their people and procedures. Overall the employees seem to come and go quickly and don’t look very happy to be there.

Food is always good! After the renovation average wait time is at least an hour! First time I came we waited 1:20, 2nd time we waited 1:30! And only for one small pizza and breadsticks! Won’t be coming back till they get faster!

Round Table is up and running. Love the local music on Tuesday nights. Beer took a while to be to the table, but the place was busy. Pizza is still the winner! Waiter mentioned they were separating the room the way they used to have it, but I say… Keep it the way it is, Ohana style and bring our community together.

Too big for their britches! Bring back the old RTP. It took an HOUR for our pizzas to come out. Way too long! On another note, Jim was so sweet and has great customer service skills. I guess we will wait until they can figure things out. Until then, Papa John’s, here we come!

Pros: Pizza is good and authentic. Cons: Service sucks. Not really sure what’s going on with this restaurant, but as soon as you walk in, there’s signs that ask to please be patient with them because they’re going through some changes(I don’t remember exactly what it said). Anyhow, I called my order in on a Sunday at 12:45PM. I was told the pizza would be ready in about 30 minutes… Myself, my husband and 3 children arrived to pick up my pizza exactly 30 minutes later and was told by a young girl that it wasn’t ready yet. Ok, so we go sit down to wait and decided since we were already in there, we would eat in. 30 minutes later, still no pizza. They were kind of busy so I figured I would give them a break and be «patient»(like the sign asked) because MAYBE they had just put my pizza in when I came in to pay? Maybe? I don’t know? Waited another 15 minutes and still no pizza. I get up to stand in a line that moved as slow as H1 traffic on a rainy Monday evening… Not sure if the cashier was super slow and didn’t know what they were doing or people didn’t know what to order at the register… Anyways, by the time I got to the cashier, it had already been over an hour and a half since I called the pizza in. The employee at the register was a different person than the one I dealt with earlier(I believe he was a manager because he was wearing a different shirt than everyone)… I asked him what was going on and why it was taking so long, so he goes to the back to see, and he found my box of pizza sitting ONTOPOFTHEOVEN. The kitchen is visible so I saw with my own 2 eyes. He brought the pizza over to me, opened the box of pizza and it looked so old… the cheese was transparent already from sitting too long, it looked greasy, the toppings looked old, shriveled up and disgusting, it had been sitting on top of an oven for who knows how long so it was probably hard as a rock… and this dude really just said, «sorry, I can reheat it for you for a few minutes…» Are. You. Kidding. Me… Mind you, I was hangry(hungry + angry), but I tried to keep my composure because this is a family establishment with many kids running around so I just respectfully declined and told him I wanted a new one. I should have made a bigger deal out of it but I was honestly just over it. The employee just seemed embarrassed and didn’t really know what to say so I guess he didn’t know how to properly apologize.(Or maybe I just need to stop making excuses for bad customer service) I’m assuming the pizza had been sitting on top of the oven ever since I walked in to pick up the pizza and someone set it on top of the oven and just forgot it was there. There are a bunch of employees running around, horse-playing so who really knows what happened? The pizza was finally brought out to my family almost 2 hours after I initially phoned in the order. Ridiculous. Even though the pizza was good, it really wasn’t worth the wait. Will never go back to this location again.

I’m pretty sad to have to write this review, but after their renovation, I have to say something. Usually our food comes out in a timely manner, but ANHOUR for a take out order of 1 medium pizza and Parmesan twists??? It’s crazy. Opening the pizza box I was surprised because half of it had less ingredients than the other! Lastly. The taste!!! It did not have that round table softness of the bread(the bottom of both the pizza and twists were burnt!) and it didn’t have that seasoning on the bottom. I am just very disappointed because I love round table pizza!

Cons: I don’t care for the dining area remodel, it reminds me of a cafeteria and is way too bright. I’ve ordered take out a couple times before they were fully reopened and both times my pizzas were undercooked so we’ll see how they do tonight… third times a charm Pros: I keep coming back expecting the good old RTP pizza that I’ve enjoyed for 30 plus years The beer is cold which is a big plus for me They now have delivery and they have redeemed themselves… my pizza was cooked through and delicious.

My review is based on a visit after the remodel. We went on a Sunday afternoon. There didn’t appear to be too many people here when we ordered. The place is bigger. There are way more tables than before. There is even a small game room. The counter to order is right when you walk in the door. While we were waiting for our food, the line started to back up. It made it hard for people to come in or leave. There is a sign that asks people to please understand that there may be a longer wait time because they are learning a new system, but the line was really long. With all the workers that were there, I wasn’t sure why they didn’t have both registers working. We ordered a small pizza and a kids meal. Our small pizza came out after 30 minutes,(there were no other in house orders in front of us). My daughter’s individual pizza came out 10 minutes later. I didn’t really understand why. The pizza itself was great. The pizza is usually very good here. So no complaints here about the food! If the customer service got better, I think I would be willing to come back to dine-in. Until then, I may just do take out.

Disappointed by remodel :( I actually thought this place would drastically improve after the remodel and renovation. But honestly who ever designed this failed miserably. First off the entire restaurant is extremely bright as in the color and trim. It looks like a local smoothie shop. The dining Area looks more like a rent-a-rec center then actual restaurant. The dining area has carpet which is gross for any restaurant as the carpet will smell in within a year. To me this place doesn’t even look like a restaurant. It’s a shame they could have made this a lot better, tbh the old round table looked better. At least it actually looked and felt like a restaurant. Next is service. On Wednesday night I ordered pizza. Obviously I know that RTP takes at least 30−40min before your pizza is ready. I placed an order then drove down to pick it up. The cashier rang me up. After that awkward, no pizza was given as I stood their. Then I sat down assuming it’s still being prepared. After 10 minutes I ask the cashier if my food was ready. She didn’t even remember me and asked me for a receipt? I’m like your joking right? Eventually I got my pizza but I wasted 15 min looking at a bright restaurant.

I found their pizzas better than I expected from the appearance of the place. When we walked in, the place seemed dim and gloomy… all the tables were not cleaned up. But once we ordered the garlic chicken pizza in original crust and sat down on one of the tables, a bus boy started cleaning our table quickly. He was very attentive throughout. I loved the crust. I am usually not a fan of thick crust or deep dish so their original crust was perfect! It was not too thin but crispy. The toppings and sauce tasted good too. It wasn’t cheap but that’s given in Hawaii, if you are used to the mainland price. If you are going to order a medium size, use the Unilocal check-in coupon and get the large for almost the same price. I took the leftover home and my husband loved it, even without heating it up. There was a great balloon person. He was able to make all the Disney characters and they were so cute. Kids must love this place. It is a good dining option in Kailua, as it’s open later than most places there.

YUM. Delicious pizza, but quite pricey. We ordered 2 medium pizzas and one order of Garlic Twists(6 pieces of bread) and it costed $ 56. So order with caution. I had the Gourmet Veggie and my friend had the Chicken & Garlic Gourmet. It was a medium, but plenty of leftovers for the next day! My pizza had tons of veggies on it, baked perfectly, delish seasoning. My friend also enjoyed her pizza, as well. Definitely ask for the Ranch sauce because it went really well with the Garlic Twists(and the pizza crust!). We ordered our pizzas for ‘pick-up’ and it only took about 20 minutes from the moment we called to having fresh, hot pizzas in our hands. The service was quick and friendly. Definitely recommend, but not everyday, because you’ll probably end up going broke with these expensive pies. Just sayin’. ;)
