Employees were really nice, greeted me when I stepped in! Was my first time so I asked what blended drink customers usually get since I didn’t feel like drinking any hot beverages. Ordered a mocha frappé and it came out within a minute! Def recommend to people looking for quick coffee!

Best espresso on the island. No bitterness. Loved it over ice.

We just stopped at Peets for coffee but it was raining a little bit and all the tables and chairs were wet so we left and went over to Starbucks for our coffee. We had our Dog with us and didn’t want to take him inside the coffee shop. This happened to us once before and the Barista told us that it wasn’t her job and to wipe tables off, and that it was management’s job!

Great location in the heart of Kailua Town. I loved this coffee chain when I was in Portland attending college. The coffee is not bitter at all. The flavors are smooth and addicting. I’m so glad they opened a shop in Kailua since they only have a kiosk at the Sheraton Waikiki. They do offer decaf options. keeps my coffee craving at ease during my pregnancy. And they also have non coffee drinks as well. Pasteries and sandwiches are also served here. They also have ground coffee to buy for loved ones. The customer service could use a little improvement. Smiling or at least showing they are somewhat happy to be there. The cashier we had called my friend and I «ridiculous» for having a friendly battle over the bill. Fri her tone of voice I kind of felt that she just wasn’t happy today. So we quickly paid and waited for our drinks. At least the taste of the coffee won me over the service.

I’ve always been a Peet’s Coffee fan! I’m so glad that they have at least one location on Hawaii :)

Who knew? Tucked away in Kailua, is a Peet’s Coffee & Tea! Yup, a REAL one! I happened to find this gem while looking for a quiet spot to get some emails done and of course, refuel on some caffeinated delights. This is the perfect little spot! There is indoor and outdoor seating with shade. The staff are friendly, wifi access and oh, extra points for the music! They keep the beats jammin’ — on this particular visit a flashback to the days of Mod music including Depche Mode, Erasure and some other bands that I have heard in forever. Yay! Can’t wait to be back soon!

Starbucks watch out! I’m here for coffee when I’m working in Kailua, even better it’s right behind the building I work in! Score! The special expresso blend is soo bold and flavorful. I can totally taste coffee instead of all the fru-fru stuff Starbucks has on their drinks. I always order a large iced carmel macchiato! I was starving one morning so I decided to add the Kekoa’s Favorite on croissant with bacon… of course, gotta add bacon. Best decision ever for breakfast! Sooo delish! They do make your sandwich to order… avocados are fresh! Soo, I can admit that I have gone back during lunch for a second iced carmel macchiato. Don’t forget to bring your rewards card… buy 10 coffees get 1 free! I’ve turned three on already

I am NEVER coming back. I know that this is a COMPLETE turnaround, but customer service is a HUGE thing for me & Peet’s did not display it this evening. I had come in around 4:30pm to get a Black Tie. I finished it quickly and wanted a refill. I knew that they closed at 7:00 pm because I had confirmed the hours with the morning crew Monday morning. I went back at 6:25 pm, walked in, and was promptly told that they were closed. What? I asked the counterperson if the closing time was 7:00 pm. She said, «7:00, 6:30, whenever.» WHAT? She said it so nonchalant. Maybe that’s why there are no clear business hours posted? I am seriously so upset. How does a business run a business like this. Well, it may not be much, but they just lost a daily(even twice-daily customer).

This is a fantastic little coffee shop hidden away off the street next to Crepes No Ka Oi on Hekili St in Kailua. Despite being a national chain, this shop has a very ‘mom and pop’ feel and the employees are super friendly. I’ve been here twice now and have been greeted immediately upon arrival and given outstanding service. I’m so happy that this place has opened up and give Kailua diners a better option besides Starbucks. As a heads up the shop closes at 7 every night, unlike the 8pm that’s listed. I asked the owners if they knew about it and they stated they are trying to fix the issue with Unilocal currently.

Hidden away from plain sight, this cute little coffee shop serves up a good brew. There was only 1 person working when I went in so be prepared to wait. Unlike Starbucks, located one block away, this shops is cozy, relaxed and hippyish.

Seriously — what are their hours? Unilocal says they’re open 6am-8pm, but twice I’ve gone to this location before 8pm and they’ve been closed, with staff inside, just the door locked. They don’t even have the hours posted on their door. Is this the type of establishment where staff close down the shop whenever they feel like it, as long as the owner is not present? I’m just frustrated because of the amount of time and gas I’ve wasted driving to Kailua from Downtown. Hmph. Rant aside, The iced vanilla latte always, ALWAYS hits the spot. I prefer Peet’s over Starbucks and Coffee Bean when it comes to lattes, I’m just rarely in the Kailua area so I seldom get to enjoy it. The times I’ve gone when it was actually open, the staff was very friendly and patient. For my SoCal Unilocalers who have ever tried Better Buzz Café, their iced lattes remind me of their«Best Drink Ever». Do yourself a favor and try it, you won’t be disappointed(unless the staff decides to unexpectedly lock the door and close down shop. Then, I’d understand the disappointment.)

I was so happy when this opened in Kailua! Still consistently good strong coffee, compared to Starbucks and coffee bean; however, it’s been open for a few months now, and seems to still be functioning on a skeleton crew. There’s usually just 1 person working. The food display usually has a couple random items, otherwise empty. Today, the cashier was encouraging that I get large coffees bc they are almost out of small and medium cups… Wth? Ultimately though, I’ll prob still go bc their coffee is pretty good. But be prepared to wait a while if there’s a line, and to get food elsewhere bc the turnover of these food items is slow.

Waiting for our to go order from Crepes No Ka Oi next door so my husband and I decided to give this place a try since I love my coffee!!! The Batista’s are pretty cool and friendly. Super clean and quiet. We ordered the Caramel swirl javita, very impressed and very good. Kinda pricy for a grande size but my husband and I loved it. Will be back again for sure!

I haven’t had Peets since I left the casino industry in the STL. Love the location. The open mic night drew me in. Great lanai! Thursday’s is open mic from 4 – 7. Stellar performances.

I love Peet’s. I have loved Peet’s for years, maybe over a decade. Its like an unrequited love affair. Like Lauren C. I came to frequent Peet’s while in San Francisco and at the wharf. And now we have Peet’s on Oahu !! hip hip hooray ! Their regular coffee more than satisfies as it is strong, smooth, dark… I also enjoy an unflavored latte. This last time I tried their cinnamon hazelnut latte cause hey, its almost Christmas and that was also very delish. Hate to admit, I more often go to «brand x» coffee shop because they have more and more convenient locations and hey they have a much better customer loyalty program. If Peet’s could only offer more convenient locations than just one shop in Kailua and a couple in the same one hotel in Waikiki… until then will have to settle for«brand x» on a convenient basis. And Peet’s Kailua will have to settle with one less star on review. Anyone up for a drive ?!?

I have to confess that I’m not a coffee drinker. Wouldn’t know a good cup of coffee from a bad one since I usually drown it with milk and sugar. But this Peet’s had the BESTMATCHA of all the coffee shops that I’ve been to. My favorite drink is an iced matcha latte. At most places(Starbucks/Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf) the matcha is pre-sweetened. Peet’s matcha latte(hot and cold) is great because it’s unsweetened and you can really taste the matcha. The counter people will usually ask if you want it sweetened, or you can go to the condiment bar and put in sugar or simple sugar to your taste. The location itself is small. But they have outside seating. The lanai is nice in the morning, but in the afternoon it can get very hot. The outside counters are very nicely landscaped with tropical ginger. The Wi-Fi is free. There is free parking in the lot, but it can get crowded since they share it with Boot’s and Kimo so anytime after 9:30 am you might have to wait for parking or try the back lot.

Strong & yummy coffee, free Wi-Fi, spacious/covered outdoor seating area= nice place to study. I ordered an iced vanilla latte(medium) which was about the same price as Starbucks, but it was bigger than SB. ;) It’s delicious & strong– it’ll jolt you awake so you can get some work done! Plenty of seats outside, and there are about 3 – 4 seatings indoor as well. Not so crowded during the weekday but I’m sure it can get crowded on weekends. It’s located right next to the Crepes restaurant, and you can park behind the building for free. It’s the same parking lot as Z Pizza– you can’t miss it. Wi-Fi username & password is located right next to the register. Happy studying!

Move over Starbucks, Peet’s is now my new coffee destination in Kailua! Came here for the first time when the store was still sparkly and brand new. I’ve been here a few times since and I’m still pleased with the coffee offerings and how sparkly and upkept the store is. I’m not very adventerous when it comes to coffee; my standard order is a large iced coffee with milk. You’d think this is impossible to get wrong, but you’d be surprised. Some days, the coffee is better than others. I get this a lot when going to starbucks-where most days are good coffee days, but there are a few junk ones inbetween. Although I don’t get to come to Peet’s as often as I like, I haven’t had a bad coffee day here yet! The iced cofee is always smooth and full of flavor – and not a hint watered down. Loved the setup for the sugar, milk and extras! I liked that you could find drink lids at the condiment station as well. DIY lids so I don’t need to bother with picking up my drink, only to remove the lid a few seconds later. #firstworldproblems yeah, but it’s #thelittlethings that make all the difference! My regular order ran me about two bucks and some change – bonus points for being wallet friendly!
