Im not an everyday JiuJitsu guy. I have been in there a few times to roll with the boys and learn some tips. These guys are incredibly skilled, humble and knowledgable. I highly recommend you get down there and learn. Get your kids signed up and support this local business.

This business address has moved: it is now 35 Kainehe St # 103, Kailua —(808) 261‑4290 as of 11⁄2010. I have a young child, and I watch the older children as well. They are really learning and improving! The belts are hard-earned, but genuinely deserved. Kids are not going to be getting new belts often, but they will learn discipline and technique, and when they do get a belt, it is a big deal & they have really earned it! This is also a good, honest studio. I have heard many complaints about payment plans and contracts with other studios, but you will not find that here. Payment is very fair, there aren’t killer contracts that dish out fiscal punishment or lock you in for years. The focus is truly on making sure your child likes the lessons and really wants to continue. The teacher and founder, Jason Izaguirre, is excellent! He is authoritative and firm but caring — a great influence on kids — both the boys and girls are thriving here. They really strive to do what he asks of them. The kids are placing well in competitions, so if it is important to you to get into a studio that really has a competitive, good program, but still feels fun and sportsmanlike, this is the perfect place! I can’t think of a bad thing to say about it, except that the parking is tough — not many spaces, so you usually have to park a little further away and walk in. It’s well worth that relatively minor inconvenience!
