My husband and I have been walking our dog by this cute little scone place for a few weeks now, and finally went in this morning after a friend raved about it. I now wonder why on earth it took us so long to go in! The service was amazing, and we even got to sample the available scones. We ended up getting the lemon cream cheese, bacon and Chive, lilikoi, and triple berry! Y’all, every single one was so tasty!!! They even do a military discount! I highly recommend this cute, local scone spot! I’m sure we’ll be walking there often for our scone fix!

Scones were good but pricey and not your average size scones. Very small for the price you pay. Sales help was very friendly and helpful, but don’t think I’ll be back there.

Wow… delicious! We ordered the Lilikoi, Pineapple and Blueberry. They give samples so we did try a few others as well. We also ordered the NEW Skookies! Can’t quite figure what the drizzle was on top of the Skookie(guessing a Lilikoi base) but they were fantastic!!! All were so delicious! Gave the blueberry to my mom and she loved them. She said all they needed was the clotted cream and it would be perfection!!! Only downside is they are a bit pricy for the size($ 22.68 for 6 scones and 3 Skookies). Otherwise they would have gotten 5 stars! They are a little hard to find since their signage is small but they are directly across the street from Kailua Elementary School. Even with the price, I would suggest checking them out since they are the best tasting scones I have ever had! Also, if you want coffee with your scone, they have it and it tasted pretty good too! Friendly staff too…

Wife and I found this place quite by accident while walking to the florist. We really liked the atmosphere of this place, the wall colors, the flowers on the table, the jazz music playing in the background. But of course the highlight of this place was Anita’s delicious scones. She let us sample a nice variety, and we wound up purchasing a chocolate/strawberry scone, and a bacon/cheddar/chives scone. Both were amazing. We wish Anita all the success, thank you very much! 8-)

Scones are buttery and flavorful but the downsides of this business are so many that I won’t be returning. The tiny 2.5″ triangle shaped scones are way overpriced. I don’t care that you supposedly use organic everything. You make scones for goodness sake! They’re not a health food! Secondly, when I arrive at your business in the morning, before 10am, I expect to purchase scones. I don’t expect to hear excuses about how the business is booming(when the place is empty and nothing is in the oven), how you had a mad rush, how you didn’t think you’d sell out… I also expect you to have the selections that you advertise, not just one or two measly choices that aren’t even on the advertised list for the day. Get your act together, price your product at a realistic price point, and maybe you’ll make it to your 1st anniversary.

This is a cute lil shop in Kailua located across the Kailua Elem school. They offer free samples here so you can decide which scone to choose from. The scones are bit smaller but they are definitely quite tasty. I loved the blueberry scone. There’s also savory scones as well as sweet. Each day there’s different ones to choose from. I do want to try their Lilikoi scone next time. They also have coffee here as well that would go perfect with your scone.

Tried their Lilikoi scone… So delish… I had another one. I’m ready to try the other flavors too. I was surprised to see it in Kailua town.

Found out about Mama Nitas in the«Go Kailua» magazine. I purchased the Chocolate Chip, Lemon Cream Cheese, Organic Blueberry, Lilikoi, & Bacon Cheddar Chive scones. Every scone was delicious and flavors were spot on, however, a bit pricey, $ 2.75-$ 2.95($ 17 for 6 scones) considering the smaller size of the scone. Mama Nitas is worth a try.

We tried a couple of scones here in November. Kind service, but not as impressed with the scones as other reviewers. They are very small and pretty expensive. Didn’t really make me want to go back. We liked the scones at Whole Foods much better. O

Mama’Nita’s Scones just opened on Kailua this morning! It’s a cute, sunny storefront right across from Kailua Elementary School with parking right out front. Anita makes her scones with lots of love, and delicious flavors such as pure pumpkin, lilikoi, lemon cream cheese, organic blueberries. Savory scones are also available – bacon cheddar chive, Gorgonzola pear, kimchee bacon, Parmesan cheese, basil & sundries tomato. I don’t know is it’s savory or sweet, but there’s also Fireside Blend – a special blend of coffee flavors in a scone. Oh no, I may have to try them all! There are seasonal flavors(I can’t wait until the peppermint bark comes out for the holidays!). All scones are made unbleached flour, fresh fruit, locally made and natural ingredients. Gift boxes are available for pre-order, too. C’mon by to check out the scones and grab some coffee or tea as well. If you can’t decide what flavors to order, there are samples :-)
