Really friendly and professional. Was worried it might be a tourist trap but totally clean, made me feel welcome, even though I was just getting a simple piercing. Definitely recommend

Jan 11, 2016-​My girlfriend out of the blues took me to get a tattoo done. I Unilocaled tattoo shops and read reviews. K Town Tattoo had awesome reviews and i felt comfortable in giving them a try. so i did. I did a cover up and Josh did a awesome job! Hes a cool guy and he has a light hand. The crew is super cool:) we also talked with Chelsey about taking care of piercing and shes on it. She has a lot of knowledge. We will definitely come back to them for all our tattoos and accessories. Mahalo Guys!

K-​Town Tattoo is amazing. Everyone in the shop was extremely nice and hilarious. My wife and I were both tattooed by Josh today, and we couldn’t be happier. His work is just incredible, very very talented. As someone who has nearly 50 hours worth of work done on my body, I am confident that you will love what you get from K Town. The next time I come back to Hawaii, I will definitely come back and see Josh.

Josh killed it! I came in with Hawaiian symbols to pay respect to my family on da Big Island and to Kai — the ocean. Josh took what I had and not only educated me on some of the meanings and positions but figured out a way to keep it traditional and different at the same time. K-​town is where it’s at! This is the place I got my first tattoo. The place is clean and so are the tools. The staff are fantastic and I love them! Josh is the best and I seriously recommend him and the tattoo parlor. Greatest deals ever.

Vacationing in Kona, my girlfriend wanted something to remember the trip, so we just walked in off the street.
Genuinely friendly staff, they were patient and humorous the entire time we were there. Gave us a great deal so we added a second tattoo and highlighted an old one. Had a great time and my girlfriend loves her new tats.
Definitely recommend K Town, and we will be back someday.

Overall a great experience for my first tattoo. This is the first shop I went into when I was looking for a place to get a tattoo while staying in kona and after going into 3 or 4 more I realized that k-​town was easily the best choice. I got a much more professional vibe here than any of the other shops. The staff made me feel very comfortable and were very patient with me. They have a $ 120 minimum but I only ended up having to pay $ 60 because my tattoo was so simple and easy. I got the impression that my artist (I forgot his name :/​) genuinely enjoyed what he was doing and actually cared. When I left he gave me a coupon for $ 25 off a tattoo and $ 5 off a piercing so I might go back and get my rook pierced while I’m here.

I brought my granddaughter in so, we could bond and pieced our ears and the very cute girls in the shop, all of them were wonderful. i a 61 year old lady and I will be Bavaria

The tattoo itself which was done by Josh is awesome… its the person who make the quotes and takes payments… SANDY…she understated the price… charged more that quoted… go for the art… pay in cash… I disputed the charge for the ONLY the difference… got stuck paying more than quoted.

ok so this is LOOOONG over due. like a year over due. Last year my husband and I went to Kona for our honeymoon. we were walking around a girl selling coffee saw my husbands arm tattoo and started telling us about k– town tattoo, so we got a card and went on our way. Our last day it was a spur of the moment thing we decided to get tattoos. they accommodated us right away. Our artist was Todd A. Trygstad, and man we hit it off. It was a small world he and my husband had so much in common from Winachee, Wa, to northern cali, to Los Angeles to being dodger fans lol. all in all he was super cool, friendly and fast, I think we were done in half an hour, he even did a quick touch up on an old tattoo I had (one he didn’t do) for free, we just spent more time talking. if we ever have a chance to go back I want to get another tattoo from here.

No tattoos, piercings, or purchases whatsoever because I was ignored both times I went in. Island life lackadaisical attitude or not, that is just rude.

Not too sure about the tattoos since we weren’t even acknowledged when we were standing at the counter. One of the employees walked by my sister and I three times without saying anything… we were ready to be paying customers but after standing there waiting for a while, we walked out. So from what we saw, bad customer service.

Very clean, knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter got a second piercing in her ear there, which was preferable to me than going to a mall. I knew it would be clean. She received great after-​care instructions and they explained everything to both of us.

I went to K-​Town the day before leaving Hawaii so I could get my nose pierced. I had searched for studios the whole time we were there, and even contemplated going to the shop across the street from our hotel that had a sign saying «$ 20 piercings». I wasn’t comfortable with that, so I went to K-​Town. Erika was straight forward, helpful, and even a bit humorous. The shop was clean, smelled nice, and welcoming.
Next time I’m in Kona, I will probably stop by for a tattoo. Thanks K-​Town!

Todd’s art was awesome! He spend time drawing until I was happy. The result is great the place is very clean. Everybody at the shop was great.

First off, let me just say that I love K Town Tattoo and body piercing! Leisha and the artists are friendly, the shop is immaculate, the location is perfect and the prices are competitive.
My artist was Erika. She s extremely professional, knowledgeable and experienced. My first anything with her was a piercing around Thanksgiving. My experience was flawless. I was so impressed, that I brought my husband to check it out. Now it s March, since November I ve gotten another piercing, and 2 tattoos by Erika. One on my wrist and a sleeve on my leg. My first tattoo with her I brought in a design and she IMPROVED it 100% so for my sleeve, I told Leisha what I wanted when I booked my appt. and Erika checked out the REAL LIFE version and then killed it on my design. I completely trust her artistic vision and talent.
My husband has gotten a sleeve on his arm done by Erika and is scheduled TODAY to do another piece. He has also sat with Todd, another talented artist at K Town, for 3 other pieces he had done; but he can write his own review. :-)
