Cedar Rustic Fence Co

(Installation date March 2014) Where to begin… first we were told that subcontractors would not be used but that is exactly who showed up to install our 300 ft fence.
Then, the first 6 posts were placed in the wrong place and they got upset when we asked them to move them.
Then come to find out they hit the power lines for us and our neighbor. We contacted them several times with no response ever, to this date. Once they got their money they no longer cared.
A few days after installation I noticed nails bent, hammered in side ways. Different nails/​screws used for the caps on the posts. A severe bend in the fence like they used warped wood. Over all I can say I was extremely dissatisfied. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Beautiful fence but it took a return trip to get it to code with the village. Initial install had a beautiful, level top, however they didn’t leave any clearance on the bottom. Our salesman Greg was great and as helpful as he could be, but the reviews about not getting return calls from the office are accurate. I counted 4 times I was promised a call back to address the code issue that I had to personally call back and track down answers. A few weeks in everything was resolved and I’m still incredibly happy with the fence. Can’t bash the quality and workmanship at this point, it’s just important for these guys to tighten up their customer service if they want to thrive in our social media culture of today. I would definitely recommend them based on the fence itself.

Our first encounter with Kim, our saleslady, was fantastic. We told her what we needed to protect our dogs and get rid of the view of our abominable neighbors. She had a book for us to choose from and we instantly knew what we wanted. She gave us a coupon and worked out a financing deal with us. She arranged the earliest possible date for install and told us what we would need in advance such as a building permit and a plat of survey. Three men arrived on the agreed upon date precisely on time, Alfredo, Michael, and Jose Nicolous. All three men worked hard all day to get the fence in in one day. They were the most well-​mannered and polite men you could ever ask to do work on your property. Michael even weeded the garden along the fence to make it look better and Alfredo, the boss, made sure that the work done along our nasty neighbors yard was impeccably done without complaints by them. The price surprised us… we had a full perimeter fence placed six feet tall… and I think you too would not be disappointed. The posts go down 4 feet. I bet this fence will last the duration of my lifetime… I’m 57. I highly recommend this company and their people.

The fence looks great, but the hassle was not worth it. The sales guy, Greg was really great. Very responsive and helpful, but everything after was horrible. No one from the company would call back. They never called to confirm they were coming to install the fence on our scheduled date. I left a message the day before requesting a time to expect them. At 8:30 am when no one showed up yet, I called and the office wasn’t open yet. Finally at 9:00, one guy showed up. He worked his tail off, but obviously didn’t finish. He said he would be back the next day and at 10:00 am, when no one was there, I called there office. They couldn’t confirm what time someone would come and finish the fence. Two days of waiting around in hopes someone would show up. They also called the permit office and scheduled an inspection (we pulled the permit, so we were responsible for that). If someone had actually called me back when I called about the permit number, I could have told them our village only requires an inspection after it was complete. Luckily the inspector was nice and cancelled the inspection or we would have been charged.

I got a fence installed be them. Their price was very good. Installation went well. They did a nice job.
The fence comes with a warranty. I have called Cedar Rustic 3 times to come fix my gates that they installed. All 3 times nobody picks up so I leave a voicemail. Nobody called me back all 3 times and nobody came to fix the issue. So I am not happy with the warranty service.
You know a company cares about their customers when they will still talk to you and honor warranty work after they get your money. Well the proof is in the pudding that Cedar Rustic does not care about their customers.

These guys charge a premium price but don’t know how to deliver. They installed my fence two feet short of my property line, all because they premade the fence to measurements that were wrong. Even though they had a plat of survey, which I guess they never read. Now my backyard is two feet shorter than it should have been.
Hard to imagine why these guys think they’re worth extra. Maybe a cheaper guy would know how to use a measuring tape.

These guys put in a fence 26 yrs ago and it still could of lasted another 5−7yrs but I decided it was time for an upgrade. These guys were on time and did a very precise job. The price was good and I could not ask for more. I would not go with any other company for a fence. They sell quality so forget the rest and go with the best!!!

We had a 6 ft open picket cedar fence installed 1 ½ ago. Very reasonable, on time, courteous, as promised! They met all my expectations and requests… I was even able to make changes to the order w/​o any problems. You may be able to find a cheaper price on a fence but you get what you pay for!!! Just ask my neighbors… they are all wishing they had just gone with Cedar Rustic! This company has the best prices on cedar fencing. Other than the rabbits chewing on the bottom, we have had no problems at all. I plan to stain it this summer!
