What on earth has happened to this coffee bean?! They are ridiculously slow to make drinks and when a guest told them their half and half needed to be refilled, they ignored him! Normally this location is fast and friendly but these past few days they’ve been nothing but a disappointment. Ended up having to leave without my coffee.

First time coming here with a friend, came in with a good mood and left in a GREAT one. Bryan was helpful and accommodating as I can be very picky. He recommended what is now my favorite tea/lemonade! Thanks Bryan!

Didn’t really care for this place but it’s not bad. The first time I had butter pecan latte, didn’t taste like butter or pecan. The second time had pumpkin latte, which was too sweet. Next time I go I’ll try iced black coffee. I wouldn’t get flavored drinks. The crew is cool and friendly; the environment is a neat set up, tables to work on, chairs to lounge in.

Andrew the manager is amazing! The drinks from this coffee bean are phenomenal! I came during the tree lighting ceremony, and Andrew(mgr) and two other young girls were handling business! They were taking care of business and they were very respectful. Way to go Andrew and crew!

I prefer Coffee Bean over Starbucks any day. This Coffee Bean is great! The staff is friendly and the drinks are prepared quickly. Highly recommended.

The place to be if you’re looking for a relaxing place to do homework, read or socialize with company. The team that runs this establishment is the most tight-knit group you’ll find. Andrew, Ross, Melissa, and Rachael are a few of the daytime faces. You’ll read reviews from people expecting their drink to be served immediately, as if their drinks wait under a heating lamp or in a bucket of ice. They’re impatient and probably have never worked in the food & beverage industry. When their drinks are rushed and made erroneously, they’re the first to complain about poor service. Simply put, exercise a little patience and understanding and maybe your drink will be amazing! Ask them to surprise you with one of their personal favorite drinks instead of being a «plain-jane» and ordering from the menu. If you catch Ross, ask him what they’re building across the street in the nearby parking lot. LOL

Good coffee. Friendly staff who know my name and even prepare my order while I’m still in line to order! It’s a coffee shop, what more do you need?! OK, they do have other stuff too, but I can’t speak to that — I’m straight caffeine junky. Try out The Bean!

I personally love Coffee Bean. It is a luxury to come to one, because in Bakersfield, CA, we sadly do not have one. Coming to LA is usually a treat and I default to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf whenever I have spare time and need a caffeine fix. This one was quite nice, located in a shop-dense area, so if you are between stores or have a day to devote to leisure, this is a nice stop. I would say that it is quite busy, as well as small, which kind of gives a stressful vibe during a busy time or right after people get off work, but that is expected in coffee shops. The coffee took a considerable amount of time, with anywhere from twenty to thirty people packed into the nooks of this shop, but seating arrangements were nice, so a friend and I just talked while we waited. The staff was nice and accommodating, and they took time to answer questions. The coffee was fantastic, and I am convinced that you can seldom go wrong getting an espresso beverage from here(my go to is a basic iced vanilla latte). In the case of it being packed, there is a large outdoor area with plenty of seating, located right outside of the structure and next to a fountain. It is quite pleasant. If you are not familiar with Coffee bean, definitely give it a try, and if you are, maybe find one that is in a more obscure location, so as to avoid the foot traffic and packed house.

This is the first time I’ve ever had CB’s coffee. It tastes way better than Starbucks! They have good selection on pastries. The employees seemed friendly except the one I had looked tired/half asleep. She wasn’t very friendly but I didn’t let that ruin my first experience drinking their coffee. It was delicious and I’ll def go to the one closer to my house. This location is busy but they work fast to keep up with the flow

My husband and I normally come her after we have dinner at Pieology, it is sort of our routine. I do like this coffee bean location, it is the closest to my house and It has always been my favorite kind of coffee, I do wish there were more and with drive thru. Well anyway this location is nice, the staff here are friendly, the drinks always come out great. I love my hot vanilla chai latte as well as Iced and their winters dream tea is amazing. Drinks I have tried Ultimate Chocolate Ice Blend(I love it) Pure Chocolate Ice Blend(love it) Vanilla Iced Latte(love it) Vanilla Rooibos Latte(so good, love it) The only little issue I have with this location is that it won’t be very busy but the baristas take a very long time to make your drink but other than that they make great coffee and tea and we enjoy coming here.

What prompted us to come here was that they had half off their ice blended drinks at 3 – 5PM. Unfortunately, the line was about 10 people long during this time, so it took a while to get up there. It wasn’t very big inside either so it was kind of crowded, and the location where one receives their items is in front of the restroom so there’s a lot of shuffling around so people can get what they need. But still, the order came out pretty quickly and it tasted good. Another offer they had was a free regular drink when one purchases a $ 25 gift card. That would require drinking 10 half-off drinks to get through it, though.

I’ve been coming to this location for years. But this last year, the baristas have changed which of course happens but they are now slow as molasses. I just waited over 20 min for a cold drink. I ordered a hot drink but I didn’t have another 5min to wait so I’ll nuke it in the microwave. Very disappointing. The last couple times I’ve gone, you have to wait a while to get your drinks. 2 other times, I asked for no foam & what do I get, extra foam. Not happy lately. But it’s the closest coffee bean around, what can you do. Sad.

The staff here are so unorganized. I ordered a regular iced coffee and I was watching a girl making my coffee. She let my iced coffee sitting for more than 5 minutes without its lid while she was making 3 ice blended drinks and wiping the counters and stuff. I was anxiously watching my coffee hoping nothing will fall into to it and won’t get warm too much. I think iced coffee and regular coffee should be just out as soon as they are poured into cups. No reason to let them sit on the counter without a lid. I like coffee bean flavor so there’s goes two stars…

We come for coffee after Taco Tuedays at On the Border. I’d like to be able to get an oatmeal cookie, too, but they don’t carry those, so I have to go to the Corner Bakery next doorish. The pastry selection is otherwise fine. I just get a regular coffee, and it’s ok, but not full of flavor. There isn’t the depth of flavor I get from, say, Portola. The location of the cream and cup tops is a little awkward, way in the back, where folks waiting for their order can be milling about. The plus of this place is it’s location. There is a very nice outside sitting area, now shared with Pieology, so there is a lot of activity around the large fountain. It’s a nice way to while away some time and do some people watching. There are usually a few kids running around, and it seems that bringing a dog is is popular, so if you are bothered by that, something to keep in mind.

The cozy COFFEEBEAN and TEALEAF So I’m sure you’re wondering or maybe NOT why I was cheating on my beloved STARBUCKS! Well I was meeting someone here to talk about some work I want done on my house! The plan was to meet up at 12:00 noon sharp so please tell me WHY on God’s green earth I got a call 15 mins before saying«I’m running late» by 15 minutes! WHAT! So ok lets all just calm down at least the person had enough character to call and let me know right? So I of course was still there on time because I’m just anal like that! I wanted to get a good comfortable seat inside away from the children that LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to run screaming around the fountain(at the top) as their parents chase them hoping they won’t fall in and drown and then somehow make it The Market Place fault as they file a lawsuit because THEY did NOT supervise their own child! We live in California so you all know that is how it is done here… thus branding us with the name«The Sue Me State»! Anyway when I got there I found a nice table that had some crumbs on it and asked the barista if he had a towel or something I could clean the table off with? He was very apologetic and ran to clean it off for me! That was really nice since I would have done it myself! NOWORRIES! He was SUPERDUPERNICE and FRIENDLY! I wanted to wait until the person I was meeting got there to get something to drink. So tick, tick, tick goes the clock and it is now 15 minutes after and still nothing, no one in site! Then 20 mins after, tick, tick, tick and now I’m seething mad because I’m waiting! I got up to go outside and look around hoping to see the person but to NOAVAIL and by the time I rounded the water fountain and got back to the COFFEEBEAN my FRICKINSEAT was GONE and there were no more open which left me to find a seat outside near the sugar hopped up kids I was trying to avoid in the first place! For Pete Sake… why can people NOT be on time! So I found a clean table under an umbrella thank goodness it was a nice day outside! Tick, tick, tick it’s now a quarter til 1pm and my phone rings… Hello, are you here? Yes where are you? I’m in front of the COFFEEBEAN… oh I see you! and I walk over! How rude! At the end of my mini meeting I was able to go back inside find my nice little table again and order a chamomile tea to relax my nerves! The SERVICE was GREAT and they have plenty to select from in the snack area! Why do people want to do business with you and them can’t prove they are reliable by showing up on time! Do you REALLY think I would trust you with my money and you can be on time for a FRICKIN meeting! Fat chance of that happening! NEXT! The COFFEEBEAN saved the day with their FRIENDLYQUICKSERVICE and clean business! Its tucked in the corner so the place is not huge but they have coffee, tea, snacks and pastries! I’d probably go back because aside from the kids SCREAMING I like the secluded area it is in for now until the Pieology opens!
