Although i think this place is a really cheesey establishment, it is good for what it is; a food-fast no fuss meal without any ambiance. Cafeteria quick«home-made» style food has great appeal for the busy American family. Will I go there again? NO. I’m too fussy.

The OC Register reported in todays business section that this location has now closed. I’ll miss your wonderful GARLICKY breadsticks and ceasar salad.

This would normally be a 3 and a half star place but i give them an additional star simply because of their garlic bread sticks which is so highly addictive it must have something special in it. First off the price is pretty fair the price i believe are cheap and the portions they give you are very large. A meal for 2 could feed 3, and a meal for 4 could feed 6. You’ll get variety in your meal as most give you multiple items. I recommend the Ribs and Chicken, their gourmet salads and their premium pizzas, the regular pizzas are just ok.

Couldn’t remembered why I hadn’t been here in awhile. After a perfectly mediocre, overpriced pizza that even my nine year old hated; I understood why. The free breadsticks and good service by fresh faced, smiling teenagers keep this from a one star rating. They must exist solely because of their proximity to the Edwards Movie Theater(we stopped in before Captain America which for a superhero movie surprisingly didn’t suck).

If you’ve never had one of Pat & Oscars ooey gooey, garlic goodness breadsticks then you haven’t lived. I have yet to order anything from this menu that isn’t completely delicious. The Greek and Ceasar salads are both great(though I prefer the Greek because it comes with veggies). The chicken wings(lemon or bbq)? Yum! The baked pastas are baked just right. Be sure to grab a side of their house dressing to dip your breadsticks in too if you’re really feeling daring. The service at this location is great. Always very friendly. One of the staff came by twice just to make sure everything was ok. The lines can get long too but it always moves very quickly and with the offering of a free hot breadstick while you wait, you just can’t beat it. Next on the list to tackle… dessert!

We went here for a nice quiet dinner after our movie in the same area. It was nice to have a restaurant that was conveniently located and we didn’t have to drive somewhere else to eat. They usually give out free bread sticks when you’re waiting in line or ordering(that are tasty when they’re hot). Yum! We tried their Meal for two with the pasta & chicken. It comes with a salad which we chose their Greek Salad, and bread sticks. The pasta sauce was the Tomato-Fredo which is a mixture of their traditional marinara & creamy alfredo sauce. We ordered the lemon chicken. Everything tasted good except for the Chicken. I thought the chicken was a little on the dry side. The Tomato-Fredo was a good blend. You go there and pick up your own utensils and plates. I was surprised to find dirty dishes on the stack of plates so I had to go through a couple to find some clean plates(I hope). I thought the music was a little loud since we were trying to have a conversation. I don’t care for the TV screens especially since I’m trying to have some conversational time with the person I’m with. I don’t know when they installed those TV screens but I think they’re annoying.

Someone else said this and the same is true for me — I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I love the warm breadsticks you get when you order. But I also hate them because they are so good they are hard to stop eating. I generally try to eat healthy so I rarely order the pasta, which is so-so anyway, or the pizza, which is good, but the crust is too thick for me. I usually order the quarter chicken meal, all white meat. It comes with potato wedges and I order the greek salad with it, no dressing. I get the self-serve fat free greek dressing, and use that on my salad, and as a dip for my chicken, potatoes and breadsticks(along with a little parmesan). Overall, it’s good, but I always leave feeling like I have eaten too much. It’s one of my daughter’s favorite’s though, so we usually go once every couple of weeks.

It’s kinda-sorta hard to hate on a dining establishment that hands out FREE garlicky, and buttery breadsticks hot out of the oven while you wait in line to order food. I’m just sayin’. Feeling slightly famished after we were let out of a late afternoon showing of «Bridesmaids» at Edwards theater, we had dinner on the mind. After ruling out Jerry’s Wood-Fired Dogs and Corner Bakery nearby we decided upon Pat & Oscar’s. What We Grubbed On: We ordered the Chicken & Pasta Meal for Two. My diet is primarily plant-based(or rabbit food-based as David E. describes it) these days, but I still like to dine on meaty goodness with my boyfriend every now and then. The meal came with a choice of Greek or Caesar salad, choice of Bolognese, Traditional Marinara, Alfredo, or Tomato-Fredo Pasta, and unlimited breadsticks. I had no preferences for the salad and pasta and left the decision making up to my boyfriend. He ordered Caesar salad and Bolognese pasta. Pat & Oscar’s food and service has always been hit-or-miss for me in terms of quality. The night we dined here the food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The cashier was pleasant and our server who brought out our food was cordial and told us to flag him down if we needed anything else. Very cool. If you like Stonefire Grill, I am certain you’ll like Pat & Oscar’s — maybe. The style is very similar — you order at the counter and servers bring the food to your table. The menu is similar(i.e., pizza, sandwiches, pasta, salads, chicken, ribs) and the prices are comparable. The main difference I noticed was Pat & Oscar’s offers a breakfast menu. Pat & Oscar’s Haiku: Woo-hoo, EPIC win! Tasty and well-seasoned meal Breadstick overload

I have a love hate relationship with Pat & Oscars. While I think their catering is pretty good I think their restaurant quality food is just okay. Perhaps it’s because catered food doesn’t come out of my wallet so it makes it all the sweeter. Whatever the case is, Pat & Oscars, you get an A-Okay! I think their prices are steep for«food fast». I think it’s just one of those places you have to go with at least 4 people to thoroughly enjoy it. That way you can share different things and keep the price down. Their meals for 4 is a pretty good deal in my books. I once spent $ 40 for the boyfriend and I. $ 40 for Pat & Oscars?! I could have gone to CPK for that price! But that aside their bbq chicken is tasty. I love their salads. So many different choices. Their pizzas are always tasty as well. I’m not a huge fan of their pastas though. They’re a great place to get food catered. The staff here is awesome. They always get my orders on time and just right. Thank you! Oh and let’s not forget about their breadstick… omg… amazing! Especially when they hand you one right when you walk through the doors.

Well, this place is going down hill. Went last night for dinner. We got the dinner for 4, included chicken, ribs, pizza and salad. Not worth the price. 1. The chicken was apparently sitting around for awhile; dry and over done. 2. The ribs were really dry and tough. you could tell they had them done way in advance(not too surprising) and they were not good. 3. The pizza was old, the crust was paper thin — including sitting in a bunch of grease/oil on the pan/tray. It was really greasy and not fresh at all. 4. The salad was the best part — probably since it was made when we ordered, unlike the rest of the«meal.» The times I’ve been here for lunch have been much better. ??? Not sure why. But the food served last night killed any desire for me to return here. Sorry, good bye Pat and Oscars, since you don’t care about serving your customers decent food I don’t care to be your customer!

Sometimes if you get lucky, you get a sample of a breadstick while you are waiting in line. I love their lemon peper chicken and their greek salad with ceasar dressing. I don’t care for their ribs, I am not sure if they are beef or not, but they don’t taste like beef at all. Pat & Oscars is a nice place to take your family to sit down and have dinner. I like this place, but I don’t love it.

This place should close down and just start serving bread sticks. My gf and I stopped in for an afternoon meal and ordered chicken and ribs. 30 bucks for chiken and ribs to me is a lot… about a quarter or half slab and half chicken. The lemon pepper chicken was marinated properly but a bit dry; tasting like it was braised rather than roasted, which it looked like it was roasted or grilled. The ribs lacked a lot of flavor and didn’t have very much meat on the bones.(just because you rub it down, doesn’t mean the meat will absorb flavor if not cooked correctly). I don’t want to be mean, but Costco has better ribs in all honesty. The meal came with all you can eat salad and bread-sticks…can anyone really eat that much salad and bread-sticks? Their bread-sticks are delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had.

I used to go here a lot in 2002 with my former co-workers. My husband and I met up with one of them recently and decided to go here for lunch. We found that it was still serving the same delicious, addicting breadsticks and their pizzas were just as good as they had been in ’02. We were all watching our weight but there is something about Pat & Oscar’s breadsticks. We couldn’t pass them up; my husband even had two. They are made fresh throughout the day and are lightly salted. I wanted to get the chicken but my friend and former co-worker convinced us to order the barbeque chicken pizza. I had qualms about it since I was watching my weight but he told me he’d lost weight while eating pizza here. I decided to go with his suggestion. He is smart in how he convinced me to choose the pizza, don’t you think? The pizza was good. The sauce had some sweetness. The Barbeque chicken on it was cooked well — it wasn’t tough and it went nicely with the sauce. The crust wasn’t thick and doughy and they don’t overload it with cheese. The pizza had some vegetable toppings. The large was a bit much for 3 people and resulted in leftovers. This is a nice place for lunch or dinner.

This was the first time that I have been here and it was pretty good for lunch. My wife has been here plenty of times before. So this time we went there with one of her former co-workers. The staff was very friendly and the place is roomy with plenty of tables to choose from. We were welcomed with offers of their tasty bread sticks. I had two of them because I couldn’t pass them up. For our lunch we ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza. We really enjoyed the pizza and still had a couple of pieces for leftovers. We had a pretty time eating here and I would like to come back here to try out their other menu choices. It looked like the ribs might be good and of course more bread sticks.

Grabbed a quick dinner here after a long night of holiday shopping. It’s been YEARS since I’ve been but the memories of their bread sticks drew me in. I ordered the 6 Wing Meal(Spicy Wings) that came with 2 Bread sticks, a side(I ordered the Caesar Salad), and Potato Wedges — though I hadn’t expected the potatoes. The wings were ok… not too flavorful and a tad cold. The salad was pleasant, the potatoes were good, and the bread sticks were yummy. Though I admit, I remember them to be tastier. It was a ton of food for just one and I left with over half the meal in a TOGO box. The meal was a tad on the pricier side but it did come with huge portions. I think this would be a better spot for larger groups that you can go «family style» to partake in the variety and the amount. All in all, it was an average-meh experience.

Delicious! If you are tired of individual plates and want a full family dinner experience go to Pat & Oscar’s. Simple home style cooking. My usual order is the dinner for two(should be for 3 people) chicken and ribs. This is includes half chicken(bbq or herb), half a rack of ribs, a large salad(garden or Ceasar salad), and endless garlic and olive oil breadsticks. You can also choose from a variety of different sauces. The chicken and ribs are fall off the bone tender. I like to add extra bbq sauce because I love the sweet and tangy flavor. The sauce goes well with the bread sticks also. The only thing prevent this place from getting a four or five star is the authenticity. If you are looking for true bbq ribs or chicken this is not a bbq joint. I love how the service is very friendly. You do not have waiters, but I still feel like servers aim to please. Plates, sauces, and drinks are self serve, but a lot of times servers will help you get any item that you need, if you ask. No tip is required, but I always let my servers know how thankful I am.

If you want a healthy pasta dish, order one of the regular pasta dishes with marinara sauce. If you want a tasty one, then order one of the baked pasta dishes! I just had the veggie baked pasta and it was good! It was not healthy(because of the cheese), but it was good. As usual, the breadsticks were awesome! I think I’ll order a dozen next time.

Pat and Oscars always seems like a safe bet because it’s cheap and always has lots of people inside. However, sometimes I really wonder if its worth it. The reason why I always seem to go is because my Entertainment book always has ample Pat and Oscars coupons inside which gives me an extra 5 dollars off(and all I have to spend is 20). The Ambiance: Pat and Oscars is very well lit and full of color. Everything is bright from their logo to the big screen TV(which always seems to be playing a Laker game). I always appreciate that because it allows me to see what I’m eating. Another nice touch is that every time I come in, I’m always greeted with a free breadstick. Their breadsticks are the bomb, by the way. This nice gesture probably only costs them a couple cents but it’s still nice. Other business should take note. The Food: Honestly, there food just isn’t that good. But really, you get what you paid for. Considering I got all-I-could-eat breadsticks, a caesar salad, half a chicken and a rack of baby back ribs for under $ 20 dollars… I really can’t complain. Their chicken wasn’t over cooked, but the ribs were. The salad was decent. In the end, nothing really was that memorable… well, except for the breadsticks. But I’m paying for the food and not the bread, so yeah. For those feeding a big family on a budget, this is the spot for you. The fact that I’m unemployed makes this a good place for me. You can see pictures of the food I ate at my website Oh yeah, I have had their pizza on other occassions, and no, that wasn’t special either. If your looking for a cheap meal, at least get some meat(ie chicken or ribs). lol. The Staff: Everyone that works there seems really nice. Maybe it’s just Irvine, but they really do have friendly people working behind the counter.

So to gain some business when they opened, they came by my workplace and gave us a big tray of their salad with their compliments, I’m sure to gain our loyalty. I’m not a fan of feta, but whatever. In any case, they lose this customer because of the explosive diarrhea that occured afterwards. And stupidly, I did go to the restaurant subsequently for lunch, and the food just wasn’t that great to me, so I feel fine handing out this 1-star rating.
