LA Carpet

My husband and I had purchased carpet here 9 years ago and we were very pleased. We came back this May to get estimates for laminate flooring and tile for a resale home we just purchased. We were also interested in granite countertops. Sam was our salesperson and I believe he is the store manager. I must admit that at first I was a little bit skeptical and I really can’t say why. Part of it may be because they don’t use computers and write your orders and invoices and seemed slight disorganized. Now I can’t tell you how happy I am with them. Sam came to our new house twice to measure and both times he was perfectly on time which is very important to me. We had the work scheduled on a very tight window to allow for other contractors to do electrical and painting and it was very important to us to make sure the work got done on schedule so as not to affect the other contractors. Every night we got a call from the installation department giving us a window of time the installers would arrive the next day and every day they arrived at the earliest part of the window. They were very hard workers and knew exactly what they were doing. The laminate installers had to remove some ceramic tile first and then install the laminate in the entire house except kitchen and bathroom and they did an exceptional job. They also installed baseboards which we had purchased. Next the tile installers came and also did a great job and were on time. One day they called to say they would be 15 minutes late… what a concept! We decided kind of at the last minute to do the granite countertops and Sam was able to squeeze that job in as well. All of my original concerns about this company were not necessary. We were very pleased with the products and the workmanship… and especially the timelines of the work. Sam thanks for doing a great job for us.

We went in on Saturday 6 – 4 at 10am. Well 10:03 as the person opening was late. We asked about the $ 2.00 luxury vinal and we were immediately up sold. I used to sell flooring and would never have sold like this. The add is bull… we were told that installation was like $ 5 per sf wow that would be ridiculous. We left immediately and would never buy from someone who was acting like we were buying trinkets at the swap meet. Or should we have bargained with him?

L.A. Carpet at Lake Forest. Beware of Mory. He did a great job selling carpets. The only problem I have with him is that he lies like the carpet he sells.

My sales guy was Alex. He emphasized the quality of the product. I was also working with Empire Direct.
The Empire sales guy didn’t return my calls after I left two voicemails. Alex came back a second time to convince us. Then he worked with us on the price.
I got a great deal for a real quality product that my wife and I are tremendously satisfied with.

OVERPRICED AND RUDE TO WOMEN
On our first visit to LA Carpet, the salesman acted like our best friend, and then quoted us about $ 700 above the fair market price for the carpet/​installation we needed. Mind you this is a small job under 500 square feet!
My wife came back alone the next day to look at more samples, and they tried to gouge her on the price again, while muttering rude things about her in another language. The salesman then made a comment to her, «Your husband drives a Ferrari, and he ONLY wants to spend $ 2000 on carpet??». She informed them that I don’t drive a Ferrari (they apparently don’t know cars either), and walked out.

Awesome job and experience! Joe is absolutely AMAZING! I walked into LA carpet with no idea of what I needed or wanted to do with regard to flooring. We recently purchased a new home in Anaheim Hills, but since we are keeping our old house and renting it to our adult children, we decided to do some renovations. First thing, all new floors throughout. Joe spent a ton of time with us, came to the house and looked at it, and helped us pick absolutely the right flooring for the house. It was chosen, purchased and installed all in the same week! And it looks absolutely AMAZING! The old house looks so good that we might just move back into it lol! But seriously, the tile is gorgeous, and the carpet we chose compliments it perfectly. The work was all done professionally, and it looks like a brand new house. We like it so much that we are having LA Carpet do our kitchen remodel! Yes, they do that too! They are putting in all new cabinets and countertops. I am so impressed with LA Carpet — I can’t wait for Joe to come to my NEW house and re-​do my Master Bathroom floor! I cannot recommend this location and Joe enough. They really want to please the customer, and will do what they can to work with you. If you’re not happy, they are not happy. The work is done fast, expertly, and the end result is gorgeous — exactly what we wanted. The price is absolutely fair, and Joe is there the entire way to make sure that the job is done right, and the customer is happy. Joe, you know you are my new best friend lol! But seriously, we couldn’t be happier that we chose to go with LA Carpet and Joe. Thank you!

My wife and I decided to do flooring in our two story home in Laguna Hills. We entertained several options and it was not about price but a balance of everything we could think of.
What first caught our attention was the selection at LA Carpet and the attention they gave us when we came in.
They came out and measured like three others we considered. When Alex gave us the quote, they were competitive and then we added limited carpet and moulding.
We made a decision after about a week to go with LA Carpet and made the necessary arrangements. We had then deliver the moulding ahead of schedule as my wife likes to paint.
They showed up on the date after getting a call the night before confirming appointment.
They worked around our schedule starting upstairs and working their way down.
They did an exceptional job and paid attention to detail. All is done and we are thrilled with the cost, installation, results and cleanliness of the entire staff.

Canceled One Hour Before Appointment! I made an appointment for an estimate last week and ONE hour before Javi was supposed to come today he called and asked if I was getting other estimates. I answered, of course– like any big purchase that is the common process. He then requested to be my final estimate. Honestly, I probably would have accommodated him had he made the request 6 days ago when I scheduled the appointment, but 1 hour before he was supposed to come, I simply couldn’t. He made it clear he didn’t want to come to Encino if it wasn’t a sure thing… which leaves me wondering why did they take the appointment in the fist place? I gave them my full address when I scheduled it.

We were planning to install laminate flooring for our bedrooms and visited their Irvine store. They had previously installed floor tiles in our bathrooms and were satisfied with their work. Met Mory who showed us samples and arranged to come by our home with the samples we selected and take measurements. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and not pushy to get more work. He made recommendations to match the flooring with our existing carpet and tile.
Scheduled installation a week later and it was estimated to complete in 2 days. Nick, their installer was punctual and completed the work on time He was experienced, professional and extremely courteous. We were impressed with their speed and how they carefully moved our furniture around. The finished work was great. I would recommend them to my friends.

My Wife and I shopped the La Carpet Showroom in Laguna Hills. The only Salesman that would assist us was Joe. He was very pleasant and seemed to be knowledgeable about his products. We selected the Cabinets we wanted, Color, Style and layout. Joe promised that all of our requirements would be met even though the House was in Big Bear.
Joe suggested we use Crown Molding for just below the sofet to finish it off. My wife told him no at least 4 times! I was at the house when they did the installation and noticed that they were installing the Crown molding anyway. The Foreman insisted that the order called for it even though we had told Joe «No Crown Molding». My wife had also requested a 6″ Spice rack be installed between a couple of the cabinets since there was room for it. Joe said it would be no problem. However, there was not spice rack included with the rest of the cabinets so the Foreman said he would look into it. We tried to call him back, no luck. We called Joe and were told he would look into it.
We have had no return calls from either Joe or the Foreman even though the last information they provided was that the spice rack could be installed

Very disappointed with the service I received at L.A. Carpet this time. We have hired them for several jobs, and have always been happy, but this time the job that was supposed to take 3 days took nearly 3 weeks. One guy installed the tile and laminate for the majority of the job, so it took forever! He did a good job and I’m pleased with the outcome — just unhappy that it took so long, I wasn’t given any notice as to when he would be there, so I waited around a lot and missed a lot of work. Was told I would get an adjustment, but never did. Also, they never put the price of the product on the invoice, just a price that covers product and labor, so you can’t do any comparison shopping because you don’t know how much you are paying for each — product versus install. Salesman does not give you a per foot price, so they can adjust the price at will.

I would like to take a moment to retract my last review. Although they did save us money we were also promised an area rug with a good review… once the work was done, I was happy so I wrote the review, they said ok we will call you when its in. After weeks they called and said the review was taken down so I get no rug, but I went in and clearly showed the review to them and they still said ok. This is a HORRIBLE business practice, if you promise a customer something and you acknowledged that they did it, you should keep your promises to those customers since referrals are important. I will NOT be recommending them to anyone

We had a major rehab done on our 1970’s house in Mission Viejo and can’t be happier with the results joe, our salesman lead a great team with Ross the plumber and demo man leading off. He reconfigured both bathrooms after demoing the 2 old baths. Everything worked out great. Albert the tile magician came in and completed the two baths from floor to ceiling. His work was tremendous.
The new laminates went down over 2 days and looked great. We had the kitchen demoed and new paint for the cabinets and new granite completed the job.

I would have given them 5 stars if not for one issue.
We were looking for new carpet and probably purchased 900 square feet of carpet in 15 minutes. They showed us samples of a 90 oz twist that had an installed price of about what others were selling just the carpet for. It turned out to be about one half of other quotes we received.
The carpet was installed within eight days of placing the order despite having to come from Georgia. The installation was first class and we couldn’t be more pleased with the carpet.
Now the problem. There was 100 square feet left, enough to do a small office, and in checking after the installers left, it was gone. They took it with them. We paid for that carpet and it should have been left for our use. I spoke with the salesman who sold it to us and he said he would check on it and get back to us. He never did. So much for customer service.
If it hadn’t been for that, my rating would have been 5 stars plus.

Well I had an appointment for LA Carpet to come out and measure and provide me with a couple samples for carpet in a house on ⁰⁷⁄₀₃. They called me on ⁰⁷⁄₀₂ and had to reschedule for a few hours later. 11AM from 8AM. Not a problem. Well they never showed up. Not a phone call, nothing.
If they can’t even keep an appointment they scheduled for the next day, I have absolutely no confidence that they will be timely and professional when actually installing carpet. I was really hoping they would work out as they do have a great selection and pricing.

Our project with LA carpet got off to a rocky start, after my HOA taking a month to green light the project, it finally started… It lasted two full months, there were various delays, the fault of both us and them… after all the delays, LA carpet was able to finish the job in under a week. It looks fantastic and the initial quality is exceptional. All of the installers they sent were excellent, our plumbers did a great job framing the new wall, the tile guys made it look the way we wanted it… and the flooring installers, they were amazing… floors were expected to take 2 full days and these guys knocked it out in a day.

My husband and I decided to go with LA Carpet because they had much better quality carpet samples to choose from than the other well-​known carpet company (with the catchy jingle on the TV commercials). Their consultant, Shirazeh, was so helpful to us with spot-​on suggestions for our new carpet color, and she also gave us a lot of good help with our future kitchen remodelling project. Because of her knowledge and helpfulness, we will be using LA Carpet for our other home improvements needs. Our new carpet looks wonderful and it feels like I’m in a new house.

LA Carpet remodeled both of our bathroom showers and tile. The tile work is absolutely beautiful. They did everything we had asked for and during installation the installers were great. The work was all complete in the time they quoted us. When we are ready to remodel more areas of our home, we’ll be sure to look up LA Carpet again.

When we went in looking for backsplash samples, there was some miscommunication at first because what the salesman started showing us was nothing like we hoped to see. With my wife starting to get impatient with him, we finally got toward the back of the showroom and found an abundance of choices, even though I know that what we needed was more an add-​on, than a what they normally sell.
End result, Joe, our sales rep couldn’t have been more gracious and accommodating to us. Our kitchen looks complete, looks AWESOME, and we will most certainly be back to talk about replacing the carpet throughout the house in the near future.
