We Specialize In Alzheimer’s and Dementia Home Care Services in Placentia. Selecting care for an aging loved one is a complex and personal choice. We help people with one of the most difficult decisions they will ever have to make: the process of helping an aging parent make «the transition» from living independently or with family to accepting outside assistance or moving to a senior living community.

Agape Cottages is an alternative to the typically larger, less personal senior assisted living facilities and specializes in the ability to provide a very high level of care in smaller six bed senior homes for a more personalized environment. The name «Agape» was chosen to reaffirm the Biblical word for «unconditional love» which is a goal of all Agape homes for seniors, carepartners, family members and owners.

Agape Cottages also provides an opportunity for entertainment, companionship, activities and spiritual growth which enable seniors to find fulfillment. A goal of Agape Cottages is to enhance the lives of seniors with residential care providing seniors with the best of both worlds — a warm private home environment mixed with the companionship and activities that a larger facility affords.

History

Established in 2012.

Agape Cottages is a care facility for seniors owned and operated by Joey and Marian Alvarez. Agape Cottages started three homes located in Placentia of Orange County with designs to open homes throughout California. Each residence provides maximum care for seniors while promoting independent living with the support of well-​trained carepartners and other independent contractors. Now We have expanded our Care Facilities to 12 and still growing to provide a healthy and safe environment for senior adults.

The principals and operators of Agape Cottages bring with them a wealth of experience in the assisted living, management, and financial arena as well as their strong Christian faiths. Their desire is to manage and operate Agape Cottages as a ministry in accordance with their faith and values they commonly share. With 12 homes currently operating in Placentia, Fullerton, Orange, Yorba Linda and Irvine Califronia, they are seeking to establish and multiply their innovative business model incorporating aspects of the «Eden Alternative» model for six bed care homes throughout California.
