Eye Level Learning Center

My two kids have been going to Eye Level for the past two years. We love everything about this center, from the director Lucy, to all the wonderful teachers. Lucy is really on top of every student there and knows everyone’s progress. There is a max of about 3 students per teacher. The well qualified teachers are actively engaged with each student during the hour. Their workbooks are more colorful and fun compared to Kumon (which we were doing before switching over). There is a critical thinking element to their math program which teaches kids to think outside the box as opposed to just crunching and memorizing numbers.
If you are looking for academic enrichment for your child, this should definitely be your first stop!

I love the eye level curriculum. The booklets are colorful and are close to the school curriculum. I love the critical thinking component of math. Miss Luciana is very helpful and accommodating! I highly recommend this place if you looking for something reasonably priced and consistent!

My 4 year old starting going to Irvine Eye-​level about 2 months ago. She joined the center a month before her 4^th birthday. Considering she is so young I was in 2 minds about enrolling her in this program. After meeting and consulting with Ms. Lousiana I decided to enroll her. I am very happy we made that decision. She really enjoys her math class and looks forward to it every week. I believe this would help not only in developing penchant for the subject but also provide strong foundation for maths. I like the individualized attention my daughter gets otherwise it is very easy for a four year old to get distracted.
The owner of the place is very nice. Two thumbs up to Ms. Lucy. She is always very accommodating with schedule and make-​up classes. She keeps a close eye on student’s progress and has a very friendly demeanor. My daughter loves her as much she loves her math lesson :)
I kept the fifth star with me not because anything is wrong with this center but because my daughter is so young and is learning basics. I am not sure the challenge quotient of lesson plan for older kids. We sure are going to find it out since we do plan to be enrolled for longer period of time.

I am much overdue on this review, I really can’t say enough great things about eye level. My daughter attends a magnet school and is in the gate program there. She has been enrolled in the math program for some time now and it is the best decision my wife and I have ever made. She is in the advanced math group and doing very well from the feedback i received from her teacher. I really like the fact that her instructors are very nice and the student to instructor ratio is 2 or 3 to 1. Everyone has their opinions about the common core curriculum, which honestly I am not entirely a fan of, eye level math program builds the basic fundamental math concepts that had been taught for many years so the children can learn to solve problems quickly and efficiently. Having said this, my daughter appears to have a better understanding of the common core math concept once she has mastered the basic fundamentals of addition, subtractions, multiplications, and division through eye level. Some may think, «I can save the money and do this myself.» and trust me i tried but most parents have been taught the old and proven method and when you try to teach them our way and the children are arguing that that is NOT how they were taught in the classroom and questions your every step, it only confuses the poor child, frustrates both the child and parent and not to mention raise the parents blood pressure. Especially, when you have 3 children like I do it is very difficult to focus on one child’s homework.
Our Daughter is comfortably ahead of her class in the Math subject and we wanted to try her on the English curriculum to enhance her reading comprehension skills. She will be starting this shortly and I will update.
One more thing, Luciana and her partner who runs the program here in Irvine are wonderful. They are very accommodating and willing to work with you on any matter.

My daughter is a 5^th grader and has been getting English help at EL for almost a year. She was a reluctant reader and I was becoming concerned about her reading comprehension skills. But at EL, she is learning a lot and showing noticeable improvement. The materials used at EL are comprehensive and engaging, covering every English topic (e.g., reading, spelling, grammar, vocabulary… etc) so I am assured that no skills fall through the cracks. There is a curriculum chart where I can see the specific skill that she is practicing in every workbook at any time, so I am always aware of what she is learning. The reading passages can be challenging which is good for improving her critical thinking skills. My daughter is enjoying the classes, thanks to the low student-​to-​teacher ratio. The owners are friendly, keeps me informed of her progress and are responsive to feedback. For example, I mentioned to them a particular area that my daughter is struggling with; this resulted in the teacher supplementing extra work that gave her extra practice. All in all, this is a very well-​run place with high quality materials that are clearly making a difference in my daughter’s education. I’m so happy that I’ve found EL. The pricing is competitive and with such demonstrated results, I expect to be with EL for a while.

We just joined Eye Level in Irvine. We had been looking into other programs like kumon, but we felt this was a better fit as the teacher to student ratio can not be beat. The whole staff is very friendly and patient, yet they are able to have our children focus and learn.

Eye Level or used to be called Enopi, is better than Kumon. Our boys are doing very well in both Math and English. Our IUSD system is good but GATE program and AAPAS doesn’t start until 4^th Grade. Eye Level has helped prepare our kids to be comfortable with their learning experience at home and at school. Great Materials on homework and lessons. Excellent teachers with great one on one time. Clean location, safe and very strategic.

If you are considering Kumon and other centers for your child, consider this one too. My daughter goes here for Math and I love it. The good thing about their program is that they have both the basic math skills that other places cover but in addition to that, they have the Critical Math program which is great. These critical thinking workbooks have challenging work for the kids and makes them think through the concept rather than just master numbers. The center is neat and organized. Class room size is small and hence good attention given to kids. Workbooks provided give them the extra practice they need. Overall, Its a good program for the kids. Happy I found this place!

Love this place! I have put my kids in several different tutoring places before. By far this is the best one. The center is very spacious and brightly decorated with cheerful colors, yet not too many decorations that it’s distracting to the kids. They have 4 rooms which means your kids won’t be crammed in with too many other kids. The owners are very accomodating & personable. They give you updates and follow-​ups on your kid’s progress. The tutoring materials they use are from their corporate office. I give them 2 thumbs up for their materials, very challenging! They also have an incentive program for the kids. Kids can earn play money which can be used to purchase items at the center. With all that, their tutoring fees are surprisingly competitive!!!
