This is the first time I came and got to know the hair stylist(Jobie). I told him i don’t know what to do on my hair and he suggested me to perm it. After the hair is done, it looks really good and I will come again for him to cut my hair definately.

Second time here and Joe did a good job again. He is knowledgeable of both hair style techniques and trends. He wanted to hear about my vision but also shared his professional opinion about why certain requests wouldn’t be optimal. He taught me a lot about how to care and maintain my very thick and naturally wavy/tacky hair. He cut it and did the Japanese perm straightened. And I loved the end result. I would definitely come back to Joe again.

Absolutely ZERO star if I can! If you don’t want to get a headful of burnt hair, don’t go there and absolutely don’t ask for Joe or Jobee. You have been officially warned. Luckily or not, the victim is not me but my sister. She was getting her hair straighten by Joe/Jobee the Japanese way/style. The whole time she didn’t realized how bad this dude damaged her hair, largely because her hair was wet the whole time during the treatment. After she got home and her hair got dry, she then realized how burnt they are by Joe’s horrible skills. Lastly, three words, Joe Burns Hair! At the end, she will need at least four years to regrow those hair!!!

The owner charged me 250usd for a permanent curl that messed up my hair. I had curls that are really frizzy and it killed my hair nutrients that starts to have split-ends up until now. He doesn’t really have a good skill in permanent curls and charged a chunk of money that kills ur pocket

I would give ten stars if I could. He is like the Thomas Keller of restaurants, Picasso of art, Jordan of basketball for the salon business. I remember 10+ years ago when I went to him, you were lucky just to get an appointment! It took connections or referrals just to get an appointment. I have seen him transform some people that is unbelievable. Glad he opened this new location!

Vincent is definitely one of the best stylists that I’ve been to. I’ve been a regular customer of his for as long as I can remember. His styling and cut of your hair will will maintain great shape even after it’s grown out. He’s very attentive to what you request as well as provides insightful feedback and his professional opinion. For some time I’ve entrusted my hair coloring strictly to Vincent as he always gets it just right. In comparison to other salon’s I’ve been to, I feel he’s able to do a more thorough job as well as finds the right color balance for highlights or lowlights. His new shop is located in a very convenient location. No problem with locating it or with parking. He’s also very accommodating with scheduling appointments. He can always find the time in his busy schedule to fit you in.

I never write reviews, but I had to for this one, since I have never came across a good hair stylist until I stumbled upon Achan’s Salon by accident. I was traveling in the area meeting a friend for dinner, I arrived there early in the afternoon, and my friend was still at work, so I figured I go get myself a hair wash. Tucked away in the corner with ‘Grand Opening’ sign on top, and with a quick glance inside, it look very clean and modern. I later learned that they were not really open for business yet, but the owner(Vincent Huang) invited me in. I had to sit for a short while, since he was working on some other lady’s hairdo(extensions), I paid very close attention to his work, and he seems to know ‘hair’ very well, so I daredevil myself into getting a haircut and hair dye altogether without knowing this person. OMG! I was so amazed with the results!!! I felt as if I walked out of a fashion magazine(alright, might be exaggerating a bit). this was about a month ago, and the reason I am writing this review now is because no hair stylist has ever gave me a haircut that last so long and easy to care for. I shampoo my hair and blow dry it, and it already has a style. PROS: (1) A hairstyle that last for at least a good month(I think I will go and visit him again next month). (2) Reasonable price($ 65 for haircut and $ 75 for hair color) — I have paid way more for other salons with horrible results that didn’t last more than a week. (3) Nice, professional and friendly employees. CONS: (1) It is tucked in the corner, so might be hard to search for if you are looking for it(doesn’t apply to me, since I stumbled upon it). (2) Seemed like they were still getting the salon setup when I visited, so this might not apply anymore. I will try to post photos of the salon itself, but I have to transfer them off my iphone4… hopefully I can still post photos on Unilocal afterwards(sorry for my not so tech savvy).
