Miramonte Resort

Things did not get off to a great start at the beginning, however I am very impressed with how well the general manger personally reached out to make things better and listen to my concerns. Things don’t always go smooth on vacation and customers service is the make or break that can take a situation from misery to bliss. That being said, the staff here really does care and I truly believe they understand the concept of making people that stay here get that resort feel.
I was apprehensive about the stay here after reading the Unilocal reviews but was very intrigued by the grounds in the pictures. I kept thinking to myself how somewhere so beautiful could get trashed on Unilocal so much. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are small but nice, and you get a powder room area with another sink, so two two sinks in the room. The beds are very comfortable and depending on your room you have a balcony or patio. Our patio overlooked the adult pool which looked very peaceful. The grounds here are breathtaking and the the hotel isn’t that big so you don’t easily get lost – I like that as I can lose my orientation quick and who wants to be lost trying to get to their room?!
With regard to the comments about the adult pool and other pool – it’s less than a two mi ute walk from one to the other. The adult pool is quiet and the other bigger pool with the bar is where they have cabanas. The pools have lounge chairs and towels galore. I can’t wait to come back to the pool. The drinks are good and not ridiculously expensive. Fire pits in the evening, live music from the restaurant – what more could you want?! Can’t wait to come back for more pool time and RR!!!

You could tell they were extremely busy but the front office manager (hispanic guy) was so great to my wife and me. I wish I could have stayed there but I couldn’t cancel my reservations somewhere else. I am going to come back and stay there because of this guy. See you soon.

Beautiful clean rooms, beautiful manicured property, friendly staff and great customer service.
Great location and beautiful weather in the area. Close to the living desert zoo, which is a must see on your trip.
Very serene and peaceful atmosphere, no complaints whatsoever, great escape for a weekend trip.

These people are very crooked. After informing the manager that our room was charged to the wrong credit card, instead of correcting it– they doubled charged the incorrect card AGAIN and REFUSED to correct it or take any responsibility. Now we have a charge for double the amount for our stay.

As a professional wedding planner, I’m so happy I found The Miramonte Hotel &Spa for my client’s destination New Years Eve wedding! The grounds are lovely; the event space was perfect; the rooms are large and newly renovated; the spa is tranquil and the staff (especially catering director, Candace Reed) were incredible.
My clients and all 250 of their guests staying at the Muramonte were pampered and treated to a spectacular wedding week there.
I loved it so much, I’m going back in February for a girl’s spa weekend.
I highly recommend this for a getaway or for a large event.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we loved it. The service at the front desk is extremely accomodating. The landscape and the scenery is gorgeous. Our room was fantastic. The food at the restaurant was excellent. We would absolutely come back.

This used to be a nice place to stay, but they are under new management and the old staff have all left. It is now being run like a Motel 6 with Taj Mahal prices.
The good — The rooms are clean and comfortable. Clean new rug and sofa. Nice.
The bad: They want a $ 400 authorization from all guests for incidentals — regardless of stay length or purpose. I’m here for work and am not using the spa facilities.
The bathrooms — ugh. The shower heads put out a painful needle sting. My tub is so old it is concave in the middle and has a constant pool of sitting water. There is a hole in the enamel and a rust spot has developed as well. The wood below the bathroom counter is delaminating and peeling off.
I also have a problem with the fact that these low grade Walmart shower fixtures have no water saving features. Something the hotel should be more conscious of in all of their plumbing fixtures.
There are large fire pits on the property to gather around. The problem is, the manager insists on shutting them off at 11 pm even when you have 30 people out there who are buying drinks from the bar. He said they are trying to cut costs.
Random bar hours. They stayed open late some nights. Others they closed at 11 even with guests there drinking. On Friday they closed at 10:30 pm and then turned off the lights with guests still finishing their final round. Am I on vacation or in prison?
Here’s an idea — don’t close the bar at 10:30 pm on a Friday night when you have an event going on in the next building and a large group of guests wanting to relax and enjoy their vacation. Maybe then you could afford to keep the fire pit lit a little longer.
When there is an event they rope off half of the guest parking on one side of the property for valet parking. This inconveniences the paying guests and forces them to park further away from their building.
Really bizarre that they don’t care about their guests.
There is absolutely zero security on the property. Not usually a problem, but considering this is the only non-​gated resort in the area, you get a lot of wanderers passing through. There are also a lot of new signs in the parking lot stating «not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles.» I saw some sketchy people loitering on the property.
Spa services are way overpriced for what they offer.

We stayed here for a conference that was across the street. We picked it because of location but the room and the complex is nice. They have nice ammenities, pool, boccie ball and fire pits all neatly kept and pretty. It did not seem «full» when we were there but the service seemed good and everything was clean

This «resort» is very overpriced for what it is. If the rooms were half the price, I’d give this place four stars. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case.
Also, it’s pet friendly but they charge $ 100 per pet, per day and pets must be 50lb or less. It’s cheaper to board your pet!
Expect to pay an additional «resort fee» of $ 30 per day. That makes the cost beyond ridiculous.
None of the staff knew where anything was located. It was frustrating when you were simply looking for the gift shop or sauna. I’d expect the staff to know where these things are.
The only reason for the 2^nd star is because the patio area behind our room was nice and secluded. My dog liked roaming around out there, in the grass.
I would never stay here again. Either lower the costs or raise your standards. Something’s gotta change…

GUYS WHEN YOU CHECK OUT FROM THIS HOTEL BE VERY CAREFUL! THEY HAVE INTENTION OF CHARGING MORE THAN WHAT YOU SUPPOSE TO PAY. ALSO IF YOU ARE PART OF THE AMERICAN FINE RESORT BENEFIT PROGRAM MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CREDIT. IN THEIR RECEIPT IT IS NOT CLEAR.
The room was big and the resort itself was pretty big. Their food is not so good but what is really bad with this hotel is the service with the front desk manager Aaron. He is sucks! He does not know how to deal with the customers and keep a good image of hospitality.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 days and had the spa treatment. Since we are both American Express Platinum members we made a separate reservation to get the $ 100 resort credit each. However the Aaon’s staff and spa staff told us that we could still book as a couple’s massage and also get $ 100 credit each. Later I got my invoice and realized that they did not properly gave us the credit for each of us. I complained and got a phone call from Aaon front desk office manager about 3 days later. He called me and told me that since it was the couple’s massage the credit cant be applied for each of us. I told him he should honor the credit for each of us because that’s what his staff/​spa staff told us. But he did not apologize and keep telling me about the hotel policy with the Benefit program from the Amex.
I have to say we enjoyed our stay there but this credit mess up and the attitude from Aaron really left a bad taste in our mouth and we are not coming back to this hotel.
WE SPENT MORE THAN $ 1,000 IN THE RESORT AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO ACCOMODATE THE CREDIT. IT IS REALLY BAD HOSPITALITY AND THEY LOST US AS A CUSTOMER. THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF THE FRONT DESK MANAGER AARON AND HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO KEEP A GOOD HOSPITALITY.

This was a surprise birthday gift from my boyfriend. We spent the weekend in Indian Wells during the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight. The hotel was beautiful. Once you walk out of the lobby doors into the hotel you are surrounded by the beautiful landscape. There is a building dedicated to the hotel spa. There are different pools, one for adults only and the other for families. We obviously used the adult only pool which has alcohol served poolside. It was a nice pool area and towels were provided. The waitress came by to take our drink orders and you can order appetizers too. Service was amazing at the hotel. Our room was really nice. It is an older style hotel not very modern. We didn’t stay in our room much. We were either poolside or out enjoying the art around the city. I would defiantly come back.

Very disappointed—
We booked an Everything and More Package for our 2^nd Anniversary. We had mentioned to them it was our anniversary when we booked and when we arrived they upgraded our room. The room was awful. I’d hate to see what we would’ve stayed in. This hotel is a 4 diamond resort and our room was dirty, tv didn’t work, bar closed at 10pm, and crickets in the room. Not at all romantic. Usually nice resorts will leave something nice for the guests especially for an anniversary, nope just an upgrade to a very unimpressive room. So we literally had nothing to do when we arrived, hoping to at least take advantage of the bar and celebrate. Sad we spent our anniversary in a boring, dirty over-​priced resort. Never coming here again, and DEFINITELY don’t recommend it to anyone.

Although the room was beautiful and there was no problems with the service that was given to our bachelorette party, I’ve had the worst experience with their costumer service.
I had noticed, two weeks later, that I was charged twice for one reservation. I understand that mistakes happen so I called the hotel immediately to clear up the mistake they made. The woman I spoke with was very friendly and informed me that I would be refunded for the duplicate charge in 4 – 6 business days.
10 business days later and I’m still waiting for that refund of the duplicate charge they made a mistake on.
I have sent 3 emails, called and left voicemails and have received no word from the Miramonte hotel. Very horrible service
As stated before, the room was beautiful and had a great bachelorette party weekend. But, to come home and have to deal with the Miramonte not refunding me for a mistake that they made is ridiculous

Old Hollywood 20’s hotel. Great place to go and relax and still on the main strip but far enough to enjoy being away.
Manny, the Manager was great and gave us a tour of the property as soon as we got there with an early check-​in. It’s not modern, but you do have full kichens including all items to cook with, bbq areas, sauna, 2 pools, pool table and a small green just above one of the pools.
Hotel was very well priced… due to this, they have low staff, but will accommodate you. You pretty much have the hotel and pools to yourself. During the weekdays are the best.

great place for a relaxing weekend. Bartender Aaron was the highlight of our weekend. his service put it over the top. Pool was great– get there early!
had a small problem with check in. The room on the website did it match what they tried to give us. It was a bit painful to go tell this to the front desk then move all our stuff in 104 degree weather but it worked out in the end.
Fun resort weekend!

Took a summer family trip thanks to Groupon. Great deal and a fantastic location. Supreme!
Initially we had a little snafoo but we recovered quickly from it. The resort was very accommodating and made sure that we were comfortable. The price that we got from groupon was too desirable to pass by. Even though there was slight construction going on with adding more water features it was a beautiful piece of property and you can tell that a lot of time and money was invested and they pay attention to detail. I’d most definitely go back again with FRIENDS even!

We spent a wonderful weekend here; the grounds, poolside service, the food were all of good quality. The rooms were a bit outdated but it was quickly overshadowed by excellent service.
Missing a star due to the adult pool area being quite small and useless. The main pool facilities are great but by sundown, when you’re having drinks and wanna go for a dip, the area is just too dirty from a days worth of kid’s playing in it. During the day it’s good; it’s fairly large, lots of space, good bar playing sports you wanna watch, and poolside food /​drink service. Staff are friendly as well.
There’s lots of competition for your business in this area of Indian Wells so you should be able to find a good deal, except for maybe the outdoor concert and tennis tournament season. Good times.

Resort? Maybe in their own mind.
I have a really hard time with the amount we paid to stay her considering the conditions we lived…
In no particular order…
The patio slider did not lock, safety concern? burglary concern? yes. I did not realise the door did not lock at all, but had noticed the secondary security lock would not engage.
The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work, however maintenance did repair it. Still was inefficient.
The toilet paper roll fell off the wall when pulling on the paper, which was also fixed.
The caulk was missing and coming out between the tub and tile.
There was mold growing in grout of the shower.
The maid service… well that was interesting…
We hung up our towels, as instructed, since California is experiencing a drought and we did not require fresh towels every day, but they were changed every day…
Contrariwise, the bed was not changed, only remade with the same sheets.
The maid did not throw away garbage or take used, dirty utensils etc from the room.
We found debris from previous guests that the maids never cleaned.
Other oddities, we had a couple big gulp cups, the maid threw one away and left the other, not that we wanted either removed.
I have a complaint about the sensitive thermostat, setting the desired temperature is absolute, so if set to say 70, then it will click on the air at 71 and run until 70. What this means is approximately every minute all night long the air conditioner would click on, run for a minute and shut off again.
That is just the room portion of our experience… There is more.
I called in to the restaurant for a sandwich to go, I was clear that it was to go and I would be down to pick it up in a few minutes… when I got there first they knew nothing about it, then it was on a plate with a cover. They then had to move it into a styrofoam box, and brought it up, then the check had been rung up with the room service delivery charge and tip… which then they had to correct, 15 minutes later they gave me the «adjusted bill» which I paid… Club sandwich and Arnold Palmer $ 27.
Then another wonderful experience, we went to to pool area Saturday after breakfast… we were accosted by security that required wristbands to lay by the pool, so we both had to go the the front desk and get wristbands. Ok, fine, so then we are laying out by the pool for 2 hours and never did a waitress come by, so I went to the pool bar and ordered my wife a drink and took it to her. when we left she went to the bar to close the tab, and they were like, «Who was helping you?», and she said, «My husband.» to which they said, well who brought you the drink, and she again said, «My husband… we were sitting there over 2 hours and nobody came by to help us.» I wonder… did we have to pay the automatic gratuity? Should I have gone back and collected my earnings?
But wait there’s more… after she signed the check, more drinks were added on, which we discovered at check-​out… Also, $ 157 poolside lunch was added onto our room charges.
So we went for Stagecoach, and this was not my wife’s first visit so I was looking forward to this resort experience…
There was no turn down service with chocolate covered strawberries.
There was no bar scene or food upon return each night… I was told in past years the bar was open and there was food, drinking, and dancing… In fact, on the first day we were there, we were told that there was going to be personal pizzas, burritos, and other foods available. We we returned there was no such party. The first night they were offering to warm pizzas, for $ 17. Nothing else, I was told that everything was locked up when the kitchen was closed, so no Parmesan cheese, jalapenos, or anything else, not even napkins were available… no biggie, we just used towels from the bathroom. On Sunday, when we returned the lights were all off and everything shut down completely.
By contrast, the Hyatt, the previous stop for the shuttle, every night had a buffet set up for their returning guests in front of the hotel at the bus stop.
So upon checking out… an hour long process, we had to analyze everything, which is when we found the aforementioned charges made to the room, like a $ 157 poolside lunch and drinks added onto our tab. All said and done, the incorrect charges were removed and we were given a credit for 1 night.

I had booked this hotel through a package for Coachella for a family of 4 and this place surpassed my expectations.
First, it was very quiet. I thought there would be quite a few people staying here for the music festival (and there was), but it was not the party crowd which made the stay extra pleasant.
Second, grounds were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly, upon check-​in, at restaurant, etc.
Third, our room was clean and standard, but we had a bottom floor and patio area. On Easter morning my husband and I sat outside, drinking coffee and watched little bunnies hopping around in the grass.
Fourth, this hotel has 2 pools. Our room was located by the smaller one. On the first day, we spent the morning at this pool. Its suppose to be adults only, but that wasn’t enforced and the kids who were there were quiet. You can get lunch/​snacks and drinks by pool, but I found that the smaller pool area was slower (since its so far from the kitchen). The next day we went to the larger pool and it was much better. More people, more drinks, etc.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would have stayed again, but, alas, it was already booked up, so I’ll be trying a different place this time.
One final note: part of the package include shuttle passes to the festival. Resort is only 8 miles from festival. Loved that.

I came here for a two-​day training class. We were provided breakfast & lunch that were both garden variety. In addition, I had the corned beef hash & eggs in the restaurant one morning. It was also very average, and overpriced.
The ambiance is very nice. The pool, the grounds and the room were well appointed. The only thing odd about the room is the toilet paper dispenser. It is located in front of you, and you have to lean forward to reach it. Perhaps the foregoing was TMI, but not to my pal Dani S! — LOL!!!
The service was very good. All of the workers greeted me, and were super polite and friendly. However, a couple of things that could have been better: They don’t leave your bill under the door, or allow you to check out on the screen.
Would I spend my own $ 200 w/​tax (special group rate) here? Prolly not. There are better places to stay for less in the desert.
