Had a great time today. The water levels were low. But they warned us about that. Our guide JT was tons of fun, and they were very helpful with the safety gear and life jackets, helmets, etc. We rented the booties for our feet, but didn’t feel we needed them if you have good water shoes you will be fine. Definitely will be back next year, in June when the water level is up!

Loved this! We booked a group of 17 people which is usually incredibly hard, but they accommodated to us and we all had really great guides! Altogether lovely experience! AND free pictures!

We have rafted with this company several times and always have a great experience. The guides are extremely knowledgeable as well as humorous. I love that they give you wet suits free of charge and this last time they even gave us a DVD with pictures free. If you are considering a trip book it now, you will have a blast.

Our guide is awesome! The rapids were pretty choppy and gnarly. They have a great price and loads of perks. This is the company to choose from if you’re going to raft near Idaho Springs.

I took my family including 3 children aged 10 and up last week. It was the highlight of our trip. We opted for the beginner trip and it was great for my kids. We had a few rapids that were class 3. We opted for the booties to keep our feet warm and that was $ 3 well spent. Our guide was Austin. He kept the trip interesting by telling a few jokes and giving us some local history. At the end, we received CD with several pictures of the trip — FREE! I would highly recommend Clear Creek.

We will definately go back for intermediate rafting. They supplied us with wet suits and shoes if we needed it. At the end, they gave us a FREE DVD of our adventure. Thank You!

We did a one day trip on the Arkansas River with Roberto and he was amazing. He was patient with us while educating us and showed us a great time. He is clearly an expert and is your go to guy. Roberto also made a spectacular lunch that is worth it’s weight in gold. It’s a must do trip. Loved the river. Loved the free wetsuit. Loved Roberto. Loved Roberto. It’s a must do!

I was very pleased with my experience today with Downstream Adventures. I have gone rafting once before and the instructors were not nearly as knowledgeable or enthusiastic as these three guys were. It’s a great small company to support. If you want a great time go with these guys!

Clear creek rafting is awesome! My husband and I just moved to the Denver area from Los Angeles and had our families in town helping us settle in. We planned a surprise rafting trip to thank them for all of their help, but we’re honestly a little hesitant. We didn’t know if they would be too nervous and weren’t sure if it would be a crowd pleaser. Obviously I had a lot of questions before booking our reservation, and the staff at Clear Creek were all so helpful and reassuring. When we broke the news to our families, they were all excited but nervous about not having much rafting experience. When we arrived, the staff got us all geared up and ready to go. After a short bus ride, they very thoroughly reviewed safety procedures and even practiced the commands in the raft on land. The minute we put the raft in the water we knew we were in for a great time. The water level was high because of all the recent rain, which made for a fast paced trip! Our guide was great and made us feel super safe the whole time! Everyone in our group loved the experience (much to our relief)! I would absolutely bring guests here again!

This is a top notch outfit all the way. Great location and trip route. We had a blast! Includes most of what the other rafting companies charge extra for. For a good time ask for David Bunch as your guide, the guy is all class and a great guide!

We had world class white water yesterday! Rafting on the Royal Gorge full day trip was amazing! Experienced guides and safety is paramount to Clear Creek. Had an amazing time on class 4 rapids and felt safe with Guide Ellis. This is the place to go!!! Free wetsuits and a photo DVD of your day.

Went on the last day of a corporate conference as a «team building» exercise. THIS WAS AWESOME!!! All of the staff were great, the facility and equipment were well kept and very clean. Our guide Austin was excellent and made the adventure even more enjoyable with his brand of humor. I felt safe and I had a great time. Well, as safe as one can feel going through class 4 rapids. I highly recommend Clear Creek if you are in the area.

Absolutely fantastic trip! So good we went twice in 1 week! The guides are really experienced, and some come up from Argentina to work for the summer! but do yourself a favor and ask for Anthony or Marcus! The clear creek was the first company on the river and now with more than 18, they still have a personal touch to every excursion. Also a perk, they are only company that gives you a free cd of photos after the trip! They provide you with all the gear and I would recommend getting the booties which are $ 3 extra (even though they kind of smell) totally worth it. I didn’t think I could do it at all at was totally scared but I survived so anyone can! So much fun! With rapid names like slurpee, Hemroid rock, deliverance, and Phoenix it was a great adventure!

I scheduled this for a company team building event and it was a blast.
Venue: CCR was easy to deal with and was accommodating to our group of 20 people. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. They had all the equipment (life jacket, wet suit and jacket) needed with the price and the booties are $ 3 per person which I recommend so your feet don’t freeze. It is easy to find with plenty of parking. Lastly, the price includes a CD with pictures of your ride which is awesome as many rafting companies charge extra for this.
Instructors: We were assigned Todd, Dustin, Bunch and JT and they were nothing short of awesome. They geared everyone up and were extremely friendly and helpful.
In a nutshell I highly recommend going with Clear Creek Rafting Co. and I will be using them again for events with my company as well as personal events with friends!

We had a great time and Reilly is a wonderful guide. Both my husband and I have been white water rafting in other states with other companies, but this was the first time our 9 year old daughter went rafting. We went on the beginner level run. The guides did a good job of explaining all of the safety rules and the beginner level is completely appropriate for the entire family. We shared our raft with a older couple and they had a fantastic time too. The wet suit and splash guard kept us comfortable despite the cold water. We all had a fun experience!
Things Clear Creek does right:
1) included in the price is a CD with pictures, wet suit, splash guard, and all safety equipment like life preserver and helmet
2) Dressing area with hot showers is available after your ride
3) Emphasis on safety
Recommendations:
1) Booties are offered for a $ 3 rental. The water is the run off from melting snow — The booties are 100% worth it because the water is 40 to 45 degrees and the booties grip the raft better than bare feet.
2) Buy a t-​shirt after your ride. You’ll want to remember your trip.
3) Wear a swim suit under your wetsuit.
4) Don’t wear cotton anything on the river. Nylon or wool is recommended. A swim shirt or technical fabric running shirt will keep you warmer
5) Take soap, shampoo, and a towel to take advantage of the showers and wash off the river water.

My group’s first time rafting, so we signed up for the Beginner’s course. It has been raining the previous day’s so we were worried the weather will dampen our Rapids experience.
We got to the check in office about 20 minutes early. The receptionists were very cordial and nice. They asked us se basic questions (experience, reason for visiting, etc). Then we signed away our lives. JK, we had to write down our emergency contact info and sign the waiver.
After a few more minutes we were introduced to our guide, James. We were given some quick instructions and what gear we will be provided. They pretty much gave us everything we needed — wetsuits, splash jacket, life vest and helmet. We opted to add the booty to keep our feet from freezing.
Then we loaded onto the bus to our drop off location a few miles up river. We were on the bus with another group from Another country, their first time as well yet very eager and friendly.
At the riverbank, we were given last instructions in paddling and safety measures. Then we were off into the Rapids, yes class 1, 2 and 3 — we’re beginners.
Anyway, I couldn’t speak more highly of our guide James. He was informative, funny, nice and overall awesome personality. I personally think he added more to the experience than the Rapids itself. We tipped him generously.
When we were done we got a free CD with all the pictures that were taken during the trip. Other places, not naming names, charges a lot for some pictures.
We had a great time with Clear Creek Rafting Company. I’d recommend them to anyone, over other rafting companies around there. And the next visit I’ll be sure to rebook with these guys. Great job and awesome fun.

For as apprehensive as I was about whitewater rafting (I swim about as well as a brick), I had an absolutely incredible time. Do yourself a favor and ask for Chole (CHO-​lay) as your guide, he is very experienced, very friendly, and loves to have fun.
We were a relatively large group (bachelor party) and they handled us with no issues, despite delays in traffic because of some nasty construction. After getting us changed and giving us the safety briefing, we split into 2 rafts, and off we went!
Chole kept us on task but offered a lot of encouragement, as well as letting us dive into the (chilly) river at two points. We made it through the rapids and the free photo disk at the end was a great way to share the experience with our families and friends.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone of any age, and can’t say enough how excited I am to go again next season.

Had the privilege of coming back to Colorado to visit my sister again and decided we’d hit up a white water rafting trip. Initially I had looked into it a few months back to see what there was to offer and she happened to have a pamphlet of this place that caught our attention.
After checking out this website and others, we realized that at the time we were coming hitting up the Royal Gorge full day trip through this company would be our best bet. Everything went smoothly with speaking to them on the phone as well as making our reservation. It seems as though they are very accommodating.
It was the end of the season when we were going, so it turned out that we were the only two in our raft. There was no problem with that and we had an awesome guide Adam to take is through the adventure. He was evidently experienced and knew what he was doing. Really gave us the chance to enjoy every part of it and learn about the history on the Arkansas River and Royal Gorge.
I loved the river, the time with my sister, the experience, the random weather, the provided lunch, and the fact that they gave us free pictures! Awesome time overall and I will definitely be returning.

If you’re visiting Denver rafting should FOR SURE make it onto your list of activities! Clear Creek Rafting Co. was fantastic!
Wetsuits, splash jackets, helmets, life-​vests are provided at no cost. Wet-​suit booties were available for ~3 $ and were recommended due to the very cold water — FYI you will spend basically 100% of the time with your feet under 40 degree water!
Our guide was awesome, very knowledgeable, personable, and made us all feel safe and motivated while stressing that we needed to work together and obey his commands.
Being first-​time rafters I was hesitant to book the «Intermediate» course but if you are reasonably healthy and looking for a little excitement I would DEFINITELY recommend going for the intermediate: while Class ¾ rapids sounds intimidating they are short and spaced far apart to give you a rush while not being overwhelming. The intermediate Clear Creek trip was a great length, getting your money’s worth while not exausting those not used to white water style paddling (a full body row, not a canoe paddle).
Maybe best of all is that they take pictures of your group and give them to you for free! Can’t beat the looks on everyone’s faces as they’re about to get pummeled with spray :)
Their facilities are fully equipped (changing rooms, bathrooms, merchandise, glasses straps, etc.) with plenty of parking; its just off the highway near Idaho Springs, not too hard to find.
