History

Established in 1989.

Raft Masters is locally owned and operated and has been under the same ownership since its establishment in 1989. Few rafting companies can boast of that length of continuous dedication and service. At Raft Masters we strive to be «The best rafting company in Colorado» by offering quality professional rafting experiences. Our prices are competitive and reflect the quality and experience you and your family expect, with «No hidden or last minute add-​on charges.» Raft Masters has grown from a 2 boat company to an over 60 boat company on two rivers; the Arkansas river in Canon City and Clear Creek in Idaho Springs just 30 miles West of Denver. We also package our raft trips with Colorado Jeep tours, the Historical Royal Gorge Route Railroad, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, ATV tours, horseback riding tours, Zip Line tours, and Wine Tasting. As a young boy my parents took me rafting every summer on several 4 and 5 day trips. These private trips not only taught me to respect the river but instilled the desire to share the beauty of the river with everyone I could. After Graduating from CSU, I moved to Hawaii looking for work in my field of horticulture. After two short years I grew to miss the wild scenic rivers of Colorado and the West. I moved back to my home town of Canon City, CO on the banks of the Arkansas River, the number one white water rafted river in the U.S. That summer instead of going back to work on the family farm, I elected to spend one season working as a commercial raft guide on the mighty «Ark». Well, I joke that it has been a long summer, but the truth is I never looked back. Within time I was managing a mid sized rafting company and quite literally worked my way to the top. For the last 20+ years I have enjoyed sharing Colorado’s rivers with people from all over the world.
