If I could rate 0 out of 5 stars I would. Walked into Adam’s Electronics this morning looking for a prong chip for my car audio system. Unfortunately, when I walked in, despite walking back and forth from the back rooms, the staff failed to acknowledge me. I even said «Hi!» With a smile and continued to be ignored. I was the only customer in the store, by the way. When I was finally acknowledged, the woman who greeted me immediately began acting as if I was taking up her time, and that they really couldn’t help me, because I didn’t know the brand of my audio system (don’t you have someone that can look at it?). I know what part I am looking for and just wanted to order it through this business… Generally very unhelpful experience. The only good thing was that another sales associate, a younger gal, asked if I had been helped, too bad it was after the first associate spoke to me. I felt absolutely unwelcome and it will be a last resort if I spend my money here.

I sent my Onkyo Home Theater Receiver in for repairs. It is working great. I want to thank the technician, Jenny, who did the repairs.

I came here in hopes of them fixing my Bose QC 25 headphones since one side of the ear cup wasn’t producing sound. Had I seen the other reviews of this place, I would have saved myself $ 60. Basically I dropped off my headphones and come back a week later. They tell me they can’t fix it and I should contact Bose myself. Haha! What a joke of a business. It’s like they didn’t even try. To top it all off, I find damages on the exterior of the headphones (A few dents on the outside and scratch on foam). Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, all they will do is take your $ 60 and say they can’t fix it. Look at all the other reviews, I’m sure they all say the same. Oh and those 5 star ratings? Fixes mostly on Denon or Onkyo. So please, stay clear and find a better place with a much higher rating.

I had to bring in the same printer 4 times and it is still not fixed and the store told me they refuse to work on this printer anymore and I should find another service center. I brought in the same printer for the same issue on 1÷12÷16, 2÷10÷16, 3÷7÷16, and again on 3÷30÷16. Each time stating the same issue, that the printer will stop printing, beep constantly, then **maybe** start printing again. Each time I picked up the printer I was told «nothing is wrong with the printer, it works fine». Each time I returned and started using the printer and almost immediately the issue started again. I then had to drive back and return the printer. I was told the issue would not happen in their facility. I do not see how this is possible with having the printer 4 different times and every single time I got it back the issue started right away for me. They claimed it had to be a software issue or cord issue with my computer. I have 2 of the exact same printer and the issue has never happened with the other printer. When they had my printer «to get fixed» I used the other printer as a back up (using the same computer and the same cords as the other one) and once again the issue never happened. This makes it hard to believe that the issue was the computer or the cord. This last time I dropped off the printer was on 3÷30÷16 and I just picked it up yesterday (yes, almost a month). Within an hour it started having the same issue again. I called and spoke to a manager upset that they «claim» there is no issue but it happens right away every single time. The manager stated they didn’t want to work on this printer anymore and that I should find another repair facility to work on it. I could understand maybe once it wouldn’t act up. But, when you have the printer 4 times and for probably 2 months all together for all 4 visits and it didn’t act up but it does right away for me? Either you are not being honest about inspecting the printer or your «technician with 20 years experience with Epson printers» is not as qualified as you think or once again that is not the truth.
Also, I was told multiple times I would get calls back and once again this did not happen.
I will not be returning to this facility for any repair — well, actually one was actually never done.

Sent another Denon in for warranty repair. Fixed right and back to me with a riidiculously fast turnaround time. Great job!

Had expensive NAD AVR go bad. Nearest service center to me, several hundred miles away. In sho0rt-​time email dialog, Scott figured outfor me it was not worthwhile to repair even at his discounted parts prices. He saved me a lot of time and saved unnecessary$$ without getting anything in return. The best kind of service department, an honest one.

I brought in a relatively new Samsung 41″ flat panel that had died. I paid the $ 70 to get it evaluated and never heard a word. I called back in 3 weeks and they told me that it was dead with no explanation of what was wrong with it. Just felt a little weird to me though. Wondered if they replaced a small part and sold it for a couple hundred bucks.

Also wish I’d seen the reviews before doing 6 hrs of driving dropping off and picking up my Yamaha pre-​amp. Completely clueless. They spent two weeks with it only to tell me there was nothing wrong with it, in the rudest manner possible. Plugged it back in, and of course it was still not working properly. Shipped it to my repair shop in the Bay Area, and it came back perfect.
Run away.

I drove 25 miles to get my receiver repaired at Adam’s because they are the nearest authorized repair center. I was told by the maker that the repair would be covered for 2 years under warranty. When I got there, they questioned my receipt because it didn’t show the model number, then they they said the warranty for remanufactured receivers is only 12 months so it would cost $ 225.00.
I didn’t expect Adam’s to fix it free if it wasn’t covered by warranty, but their attitude was that I was trying to get something for nothing. While I was waiting at the counter, they answered a call from another customer and the lady at the counter yells out, she dropped off her electronics this morning and she already wants to know how much.
I hope I never have to do business with them again.

DO NOT GO THERE. First off a very sweet young lady was trying to help me at the front desk and called forward whom I guess would be the owner or boss of some sort. He was very rude and disrespectful to her for no good reason.
I explained that I needed my printer looked at right away as I had important printing that needed to be done tonight. They were very nice to process it quickly and get to it right away. I paid the non-​refundable $ 69 and went to burn off time waiting for the call.
I got a call that the printer was ready to pick up and I owed an additional $ 51. The printer was currently out of cyan ink so they couldn’t print a test page for me but I asked if the error message was gone and they assured me that it was. I just needed to go home, replace the ink and it would be good to go.
I got home, replaced the ink and the exact same error message was there. Nothing different. I called to ask if they could either refund the money or honor their work and make the printer usable. She said they can give me the $ 51 back but the $ 69 was refundable. Made no offer of help to fix the actual problem that I spent all day trying to fix or that I just paid them for. Now I am left with much less money in my account, my day wasted and no printer to get the work done.

I needed my Denon receiver looked at, brought it in to Adam’s. I got called in a few days with a diagnosis from the tech who’d checked it out, decided to have it repaired (was out of warranty). They called me again a little over a week later, unit was ready to go.
The company I work for also sends warranty repairs to Adam’s, and we have always had good communication with them (something that’s sorely lacking at too many other repair centers), and quick turnarounds.
Update: I’ve dealt with several different repair companies in handling our client’s devices, and Adam’s reigns supreme. I get information, costs, call backs, and best of all quick service. All the people I deal with are personable, professional & helpful.

Wish I would have seen these reviews. Paid 60 up front to fix a very rare turntable and I get a call telling me, can’t fix it there are no parts to fix it and if you like we can dispose of it for you?
(Yes there are parts to fix this I was too busy to order them and do it)
I Get a second call said «it’s all fixed come get it» (ya.a Lie)
I go there they say sign here hand me back it unfixed and said sorry couldn’t fix it no parts.
«So you lied» I said?

Nothing worse than a joke of an effort, great work ADAMS, 50 REVIEWS AND 2.5 star rating? I don’t think I’m just a simple coincidence here.
Clean it up guys.

Talk about outdated and expensive!
This place reeks with the smell of a 1980’s company. Cables, equipments, and other relate electronic needs are marked up to the extreme. I’d recommend you turn your head and look to Micro center, Newegg, or Amazon instead to get everything you need when it comes to electronics.

I wanted one thing done.
I paid 40 dollars just to get my turntable’s speed adjusted, nothing else.
After FOUR days they call me and I can go pick it up.
Long story short, they did not use professional tools to calibrate the turntable so the 33rpm was way too fast and the 45 rpm speed was way too slow.
For 40 dollars, I expected precision but all I got when I told them it was off was they made a half-​hearted attempt to adjust one of the settings and then showed me where the adjustment screws were.
Thanks for nothing Adam’s Electronics, I’d give you 0 stars if I could.

I brought in my Apple desktop computer, (somehow I downloaded a virus that had buried itself deep and hijacked my homepage, and caused other issues.) Anyways, they had my computer for a few weeks – Plenty of time to get the job done right. I am in the Navy and now live in SD, but I grew up in HB so I figured i’d give these guys a try. When I finally picked up my computer and brought it home and plugged it in, I thought all would be good. WRONG!!! My computer now moves SLOWER than before I brought it to ADAMS ELECTRONICS. I get horrible POP-​UPS on every web page I visit and just the general experience with the cashier and computer tech were not professional at all. They seemed confused and lost, but were more than happy to take my money and deliver a service that actually made my desk-​top worse. I am highly unsatisfied and would warn AGAINST using them for anything.

STAY AWAY! Please do yourself a favor and bypass this place! They won’t even bother giving you a price for a part simply because it would take someone 5 mins to open a book or look it up on a computer. I even told him that if he did that for me he would have my business. I just didn’t want to drive all the way down there with my broken receiver and find out it would cost just as much to fix it as it would to simply go buy a new one. Very lazy on their part. His excuse was «My manager doesn’t like me giving that info over the phone» I say. What’s the consequence of me knowing exactly how much to expect to pay for a replacement part prior to me bringing in my broken receiver? If I don’t decide to bring it in, it will stay broken and you, being in the service industry, would have spent 5 mins of your life for nothing. Is that so bad? That’s your job man. Very poor service!

You’re thinking, «oh brother; I’m sending my A/​V equipment in for repair… this is going to take weeks and weeks to get back.» My thoughts too but I sent a DOA Denon receiver in to these guys and Steve the technician was not only knowledgeable but communicated throughout the process. The day that the part came in, it was installed, I was notified and the unit was shipped off.
Company could have a better process for receiving broken items and emailing customers the Job #, etc. But I would certainly use them again just because the repair service was fast and accurate. 2 wks total (1 wk waiting on mfg part, 1 wk shipping+processing).

I was put off by the negative reviews I read about Adams Electronics while choosing a company to repair my Integra 50.3. Well I rolled the dice and I’m glad I did, I gave the customer service a 95 and workmanship a 100

I was given this company by the Panasonic support person. I called once immediately after talking to Panasonic and the person told me that they hadn’t received the necessary order number. I called later, and they still insisted that they needed an order number from the company before they could proceed but that it would probably take 24 hours.
24 hours later, my husband called and they still didn’t have a number, saying that it would take two days. Finally, the company gave us an appointment for service the following week – 8 days away! We resolved ourselves to the fact that these things took time, but I was really annoyed to think I had to wait over a week to even have the TV looked at by a technician!
The next day we got a call from another local place that was authorized to do Panasonic repairs, and they were able to come immediately! The service person came out a couple hours after the call. He inspected our TV, called in an order for the part that it needed, and put the cabinet and TV back where it was. He explained that the part would take a few days to arrive, which would still be sooner than our scheduled appointment with this place!
If you want to wait for repair, use this place! If not, please find another! There is simply no reason to leave customers hanging when other places are quicker, and more efficient. If a company isn’t willing to fill the customers needs, then I don’t see any reason to give them business!
