History

Established in 1940.

…In the early 1920’s, Joseph DiPaulantonio came to America from Teremo, Italy to seek a better and more prosperous life. As you can see, the name has changed. When Joe came to America, as is often recommended, he changed his last name. Joseph Di Palantino started working for an Italian man who had an excavating business. They used to dig basements with a scraper pan pulled by a mule — imagine that! He started a side business cutting grass. A few years later he started with an excavation and asphalt contractor. In the early 40’s, he started his own full-​time business paving driveways and cutting grass. His secret to success was simply, «If you do a job, you do it right the first time!» Joe built a very nice business with a great reputation. He did physical labor until he was 83 years old. Today, his sons, Joseph Jr. and Daniel continue the business (commercial & residential) with the same high work ethic — with dedication to competitive pricing and quality workmanship.
