If there was an option to give no star at all then I would give no star at all.
Since day one I had service issues, either it slows down or no internet at all. Each time I when I would call I would have to reboot the router. I guess that is the only trick they have up their sleeves to solve this issue. Then at such quality of service they insist on enforcing term of contract. They in insist on customer fulfilling their part of the deal, they are nowhere even close to their part of the deal.
They have serious quality of service issue! However don’t expect to see change any time sooner as this being capital intensive sector has few competitors in each franchise area and they know that customers don’t have any other option.

I had the worst experience with Xfinity. The charges have gone up by 300% just in 18 months. Internet speed is worst and unpredictable. Every time i called their customer care i ended the call with frustration and feeling helpless. Worst thing is your bill amount will change with out your knowledge. You should never make your payments automated.

So frustrated with this company!!! My internet is out at least once a week or I have «low connectivity» and my virtual conference calls are compromised. It’s usually fixed by refreshing the modem, but it’s a hassle and I usually have to call and wait on hold to get this accomplished. I have never in my life had so many issues with Internet. While their customers service has improved in the last year (I literally had someone yell at me and tell me how I was wrong and was overreacting after having to wait all day for two days straight for service appt that kept getting pushed back a rescheduled about a year ago), they still have a product that DOES NOT WORK!!! If we could switch companies and our complex offered another company, I would do so in a heartbeat!

It seems that no one can give us a timeline or an answer if we can get service to our house, its being 15 days. We are being promess every time we call that someone is going to call us and give us a definitive answer. We have got responses from your technicians like «why dont you change to AT&T». Today we called again and aparently they canot give us answers because now is in the hands of a third party company. we do not care my company is comcast! Terrible service, just bad, we are very disappointed.

The customer service is awful, misleading, I would even say fraudulent. I was offered a package I couldn’t resist in the first year. On the 13^th month I got a bill that was about 40% higher than the last one. I immediately called and told them I couldn’t afford it and asked them to disconnect services. First of all the lady told me I had entered into a 2 year agreement that I could not break. when I insisted that this wasn’t true her tone changed and she insisted that she will customize an offer that would be close to my former bill. I specifically asked her the total I’d be paying, including all taxes etc. She was all sugar and honey and said I’ll be paying almost the same bill that I had paid in the first year. They already had my credit card information for autopay. After a two hour conversation I thought I had achieved a great deal. After two months I checked the bill and found out they were deducting exactly the same amount (40% higher) that I had asked them to disconnect for. When I called them another lady explained all the extra charges that brought the bill upto this horrendous amount. She also said I couldn’t get out of this as it was a 2 year contract and at the end of the first year the bill will actually go up. She said the lady should have explained all this to me. I feel extremely cheated and frustrated. Unfortunately I cannot give them a lower rating but I found them downright dishonest.

Comcast has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I had to give a star on the rating, but in all honesty I would rate Comcast in the negatives. Every time I’ve called I’ve been transferred from person to person and placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. I’m actually on hold right now, going on 50 minutes without talking to someone-​which is what pushed me to write this review, lol.

I thought AT&T was bad. This this worst no customer service at all. I spent 10 minutes pushing buttons did not get to talk to a person.

Service interruptions all the time and no one really knows what is going on when you call in. I was just told by one of the customer service agents that this is pretty common for them. Great! I have only been a customer for 2 months and so far I have had 4 service interruptions, been double-​billed for my installation, lost $ 500.00 in consulting fees whereas I couldn’t get on the internet, and now they are saying that my cable will be down this afternoon, but don’t worry! It’s OK! They are AWARE that it is down. I am paying $ 130.00 a month for this? Highway robbery!!!

After a six-​year ordeal with AT&T U-​verse (see my review … you’ll wonder why we stuck with them as long as we did; we do too!), we had no recourse but to switch. Satellite was out of the question (especially since DirecTV is now part of the AT&T conglomerate), so our only option was Xfinity/​Comcast. We went for the whole enchilada … TV, Internet and phone. Installation was quick, efficient and very neat (the tech even cleaned up after himself … couldn’t tell he was there). Of course, it took a bit of doing to get used to the new TV setup (channel designations, remote, etc.) but we finally got it down without having to use the «cheat sheet.» Overall, the services are superior to U-​verse, but …
The channel placement is helter-​skelter … related stations are often all over the place. Examples: U-​verse shows all network, sports, children’s, shopping, Hispanic stations, etc. in specific sequential orders; Comcast has them scattered throughout the channel array. It can be done more logically.
If your phone has a built-​in answering machine, either turn it off and set up the Xfinity digital version (which is what we did), or keep what you have and don’t bother with Comcast voicemail … seems as if the two conflict with each other, causing all kinds of problems. We discovered this through trial and error. Comcast and/​or the installer should note this in the setup instructions.
We did have an issue with the new equipment (one box was defective) … apparently, quality control in China leaves a bit to be desired. When we called Tech Support, they immediately diagnosed the problem remotely, and credited our account $ 15 for our trouble. We were able to quickly obtain a replacement box at the Voss Rd. store, and all has been running fine since then. I’ve always wondered why AT&T stores don’t stock U-​verse parts … they either have to be shipped, or replaced by a technician at one’s home. It’s inconvenient, time-​consuming, hardly cost-​effective, and makes no sense … but then again, nothing that AT&T does has any rhyme or reason to it.
So, after four months with Xfinity, we’re pleased … TV reception is superb (this ain’t your grandpa’s cable), Internet connection and speed are as advertised, and the phone/​fax is now functioning as intended. That voice-​activated remote works pretty well, although we really don’t have much use for it. I also like the website … very well designed and simple to navigate. We’re looking forward to an ongoing positive experience.

Comcast is the worst. Internet service to my place suddenly stopped today. After talking to their rep., I bought a new modem to replace the so called ‘bad’ modem, only to find that the problem was with their service and not modem. They are scheduling appointment to send a person at the end of four days! Four days without internet at no fault of mine!

God awful service. Drops out all the time. makes you restart at movie/​series episodes when you are 45 minutes in. We are going to another provider, even if we have to have one of those butt ugly dishes!

Worst service and customer service I have ever received. Our box was broken no one would come out to fix it until next week and they said they would charge us for even coming out to fix the service they provided us that wasn’t working. Cindy was rude on the phone then transferred us to Travis who proceeded to hang up on us. If you want a service that works and a provider that will fix issues quickly without a fee. DOnt choose Comcast. They lock us in a contract with a box that didn’t work then were rude on the phone and hung up on us! Hopefully this will be helpful to those who have experienced the same thing.

Switched from UVerse a few months ago for higher speeds, but now must switch back. Service in NW Houston (Cypress Area) goes out often, and for some reason the internet also goes out anytime the power goes out despite the fact all our equipment is on a UPS battery backup.
AT&T was not good either and slowed down a lot, however at least it was more reliable and didn’t go out as often as Comcast, and would work through a power outage (important for security applications). For the 2^nd time this week I’m working hours today on my iPhone hotspot. It’s 9am and the Comcast website says the outage in my area should be fixed by 1pm. Unacceptable.

If obama created an internet service, this is what it would be like. ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE!!! Signed up for comcast and canceled all within a week. Internet didn’t work, or they had me on dial-​up. Heck their stupid website hardly even functions. I have never herd of someone who has even average service with this horrific company.

Comcast has been a horrible company to work with. I have called multiple times for Comcast to come out and remove/​repair a broken wire that is hanging in my backyard and NO ONE has responded to this request. The way their communication is set up only allows me to call your «tech support» in the Philippines. Yes, NO One works in the USA and their field workers are contract. Every work order that is generated has been closed out as «resolved» when NO ONE has come out and «resolved» this issue. I have reported this wire is hanging low enough to touch it and it is connected to other «live» lines above. I have spent hours on the phone with people in the Philippines and they tell me that their is no one is the US that will speak to me. ??? This hanging wire poses a very dangerous situation. I think Comcast is a joke and they could care less. Shame on that lousy company.

OMG Comcast is the WORST customer service I have ever had in whole of my life. Unfortunately I must mark one star in the review in order to post this review BUT if it up to me I would give them negative 5 stars because they deserve NEGATIVE 5 stars on review not more than that; I swear no joke.
I have been trying to have an appointment with them to fix the internet and cable in my apartment for about two weeks and every time I got appointment with them, no one show up and they change the appointment time for three times. Every time they do that I lose one day in my job and they sound that they do not care. The funny part is that ALL the supervisors that I spoke to and scheduled an appointment for me, they lied at me so they can end the call. When you ask them about complains line or email, they give you wrong numbers to call or numbers that no longer in service! They are NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!
My advice to anyone think to have them as Internet or cable provider DO NOT do my MISTAKE. I SWEAR I REGRET the day that I thought to have them as Internet and cable provider.

My boyfriend and I just recently moved into our new place here in Houston. We called Comcast/​Xfinity for cable and wifi because that is what we had when we lived in Philadelphia. Once we called they set us up with a bundle plan that sounded like a good bargain for the price. Cable, internet, and security system for cheaper than we were paying for only cable and internet at the old place, with a $ 300 visa gift card as a bonus. The only down side at first, was that it was going to take over a week before they could come out and set it up.
The first time they came out they checked all our wire signals in our house and for some reason, no fault of theirs, the wires were messed up or cut so we needed a rewire. They said we needed to reschedule in order to get a letter from management since we were renting. The technician stated that it would be no extra cost, and that everything will be done next appointment when we had the signed letter. We also asked if I needed authorization to be there for installation since my boyfriends name was on the account and he would be at work the next time. He said no because he had already signed the papers.
It was a week later before they came out again. Two different technicians that went through the same process all over again. They must have not put it in their notes because these two didn’t even know it was suppose to be a rewire. They also said we needed TVs in order to hook everything up, when they had to notice the first time they came out because we had no furniture. Everything was being shipped from storage. They also made it a bid deal that my boyfriend was not there when we asked if this would be a problem in the first place. After talking to the technicians they told me that they are outside technicians, hired by comcast because comcast did not have enough in-​house technicians of their own. They also stated the last technicians could of done everything they already started to do.
It took hours for their supervisor to get ahold of comcast and work things out to get authorization or see what they could do without the TVs. After all that waiting, they still were not authorized to set it up because we had no TVs. If this was policy they should of informed us before they came out, and definitely after the first time they came when we also had no TVs. They have few in-​house technicians, and the ones they do have are lazy, as pointed out by the outside technicians. They have long appointment waits, long call times, and bad customer service. They created bad business with the lack of communication. We canceled our service before they could come out another time and give us another excuse. I do not recommend getting comcast/​xfinity in the houston area.

New Update:
Here is the bottom line on this experience.
1. The equipment may not work the way it was intended. It does not meet the warrant of merchant-​ability, and is false advertising to claim it does.
2. If you have techs try to fix, they will try to cheat you on the service fees
3. If you get the service fees waived because it is under the installation warranty, they will jack with any other service appointments. I re-​scheduled — but only after someone would admit the truth that they weren’t coming (it was the fourth person in an hour and I wasn’t giving up until I was told the truth). They had 3 previous people ask me to re-​schedule because they didn’t want to admit they had screwed me on the appointment.
If someone offers to re-​schedule your appointment, you should know it’s only because they don’t intend to meet their appointment.
4. If you want to replace the equipment that didn’t work in the first place, they will have you pay for it outside. It’s all on you.
It has only gotten worse since the last review. They told me to hire a third party to replace faulty equipment with my own, and then had me schedule an appointment to pick up their equipment. First, the supervisor schedules it on a day I specifically said I was unavailable, didn’t confirm it, and had someone show up. Then I re-​schedule it, and they couldn’t make the 12 hour appointment window, and didn’t call that they weren’t coming. I spent an hour on the phone with 4 different people before someone was able to check that they put a note on the account that they weren’t meeting any more appointments for that day and it should be re-​scheduled. No on notified me in any way in advance, and now I am supposed to believe that they are going to make the next appointment.
Now I am inconvenienced again over something that was never my fault — I am not responsible for the fact their equipment doesn’t work, I am not responsible for the fact that 3 or 4 technician visits couldn’t fix it. However, their claims about their equipment are false advertising, and I incurred costs out of my own pocket to fix it. So I have filed a consumer complaint with the Attorney General’s office

If there was a — symbol rating I would give Comcast Xfinity a –5 stars. Xfinity has a lot of issues staying connected. Every time I’ve tried to watched a movie it has stopped in the middle or towards the end of it, making me come back later to finish watching the movie. I miss my TimeWarner Cable Service I wish it would come back to the Houston market.

Told me several times I would not be charged for installation yet still charged me! Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with! Do not trust them.
