We recently had a long awaited get together(The Anderson Party) and although the food choices were subpar the front desk attendant made sure everything went smooth. She was attentive and guided each party member to us. She also went the extra mile ensuring our party had appropriate directions to the venue. We will be back! Maybe not for the food but for the service! Thanks Eboni.

I’ve been here twice to bowl with my co-workers during lunch. It’s always very quiet and empty which I love! We get to bowl one game for free if we buy lunch. I’m sure during evenings and weekends this place is PACKED and a different experience because there’s only about 10 lanes. The food is okay. It’s decent for bowling alley food.

Not your typical«Rudy Poo» bowling alley. This bowling lounge is on a different level; the food and drinks alone will have me coming back for more. We had a work event here and I like the fact that they have the red movie theater curtains to give your group some privacy while chilling out. Let’s admit it… Feet are gross… So when I realized i left my socks behind i had a mini freak out but they have«packaged socks» will you look like Michael Jackson with thick white socks? SURE. But at least they are avail and clean!!! The establishment itself was extremely clean. even the bathroom! AMEN! I will admit my bowling skills shot through the roof due to the cocktail i stuck with for the evening which was the«Blackberry Mule»(I had Whiskey instead of vodka) man it was refreshingly strong. The food was pretty good as well; The spinach dip is a must try if you love spinach dip. It’s extremely cheesy and tasty. The Salmon kebabs were a little weird, like fish is too soft to put on a kebab so if you didn’t shove the entire«fish stick» in your mouth it would completely fall apart when you bit a piece off of. Avoid fish on a stick. The bbq chicken pizza and spinach dip had to be my favorite eats there! All in all, a good clean place to come and have a good time!

No words can describe the amazing experience my family and friends had at Lucky Strike. First off, it was a special day for our family and friends… my husband and I adopted our little girl that day. We had just left the courthouse and Lucky Strike provided the best Adoption celebration venue in Houston. The service was on point the minute we walked in the door, the drinks, the food, the bowling… The Complete Atmosphere. A special Thank You to Ebony, Leo and Eddie… y’all made our day even more special. Thank y’all from the bottom of our hearts.

We went last night for a team builder with work. It was completely empty the entire time we were there. Granted it was a Monday afternoon/evening. The atmosphere is okay, nicer than your neighborhood bowling alley but the music is terrible. Higher prices than most bowling alleys. I believe the appeal is that it is downtown on the 3rd floor of a building around some fun restaurants. The downside is parking, service and cost. Happy hour from 3 – 7 weekdays is a nice touch! We had poutine, chips and guacamole and drinks. The food was good but the service was lacking. We had to go find the front desk attendant several times as our waitress was nowhere to be found.

Lets get to the point: this place is as bad as the reviews and ratings. Went there over the weekend for a birthday. My first time. We had two lanes reserved for 1030−1230am. I checked in around 1020. Got our shoes. Wrote down our names for the staff to put into the system. Waited not too long for them to say our lane was ready. Perfect, we were ready to bowl! When we got to the lanes 1) both lanes were not ready! The pins were not set. The only thing that was ready was the table, menus, napkins, and plates for sharing food. 2) our names were not inputted. We had to go down to the counter a MULTIPLE times for them to get their shit in order. This took another 30 minutes for them to be ready. *They gave us an extra 30 minutes of bowling time to make up for it. Our server gave my food and drink to a different guest. The guest accidentally drank my drink. Our server was able to quickly have another one remade, so that’s a plus. Lastly, the bowling balls we had on our lanes from previous bowlers were too heavy for the girls. So i went down to ask the front desk where the ball racks are. She pointed them out. I went to go look, and there were only about 4 balls on the racks at 13+ lbs. So I go back to the desk to let them know there were basically no balls for us to choose from and all I get from the staff is «oh sorry about«. So I asked if I was suppose to go around to other lanes and ask for bowling balls? She responded with a silent stare. There was absolutely no help offered. None. I HADTOLITERALLYGOAROUNDANDASKOTHERLANESIFWECANHAVESOMEBOWLINGBALLS. Are freaking serious. 1) this place is not worth the money. $ 60 per hour per lane for shit service 2) $ 5 bucks for shoe rental is not worth it. Bring your own shoes. 3)$ 15 f&b minimum per person. From a business standpoint, I agree to it and understand. I will tell you the food and drinks are okay to get you by but don’t expect a wow factor. I know this place isn’t a restaurant. Also, my food and drink came out in a timely manner. Thank you, kitchen team and bartenders. 4) i recommend the staff to put back bowling balls after each group leaves that way new guests have a selection to choose from –on the racks– instead of having to go look for balls on other lanes to use. The fact that I had to do this was ridiculous. I did not pay to go on a scavenger hunt. There had to be around 100 balls in the place, but randomly placed across 8 – 10 lanes. 5) also, the ball weights are not organized by color. 9, 13, 15 lb balls were the same color. There was no system there. Not a big deal but it can make a difference. I left after a game but did a follow up with the birthday girl. Lets just say the problems continued as well as the shit service. The manager gave her a certificate for unlimited bowling for two hours up to 8 guests which expires in Aug2016. It takes around an hour for 8 guests to bowl one game so «unlimited» is not the right advertisement. Even with the«unlimited» free bowling, I still wouldn’t go back to this place. This place is quick to take your money but they are obviously not using it to train staff properly or to get a decent ball system. Despite my very bad experience, I’d give this place a one star for their concept and concept ONLY. Late night bowling for 21+. Alcohol. Food. Lounge atmosphere with velvet and leather chairs. There was a «DJ from Paris» who played EDM and top 40s all night to get the alley poppin’. The MC who«sounded like a white guy, looks hispanic, but is actually asian» also assisted in getting the place going. Yes, those were his very own words. That’s really about it. Great concept, but they definitely do not have the service to make up for the price people are paying. Thank you, Lucky Strike for giving me such a memorable experience. I will not see you again. You can find me at other bowling alleys with better prices and exceptional service.

Could be a great spot to bowl. Unfortunately the music feels like your shopping at Hollister. Asked the employees to change the music and it seemed like their manager wouldn’t allow for it. The mechanic Mark was our only saving grace and was chill as f#*£ as he passed along his portable Bluetooth speaker so we could get our Drake on. Again, could be a great spot, needs better music and lower prices on bowling.

I came for a birthday party. parking was a little hectic if you didn’t want to valet, to find a spot on the street downtown Houston. The bowling alley is a bit on the pricey side, so I feel like they should make accommodations for their paying patrons for parking. The inside was dark dim red walls and very mood setting. I was starving so I ordered a sandwich it was turkey avocado bacon amazing sandwich hit the spot. I would love to go back there, if only for the sandwich anytime lol. I enjoyed the bowling it was pretty cool that it’s 21 and up after certain time, it really gives you a chance to enjoy the people the music was great the videos that they were playing on the screen was great the whole 21 and up experience was pretty cool. They really captured the club atmosphere while bowling. There’s also pool tables for you enjoy shooting pool. I will choose to Bowl here again in the near future.

We went here for my honey’s birthday a few days ago. We had about 15 friends and it ended up being fun, but it was rough going. First they kept moving us around on the lanes, then the lanes were not working. The pins would not be cleared for 10 minutes at a time. They said they would offer us more time but did not. We got only part way through a game before they cut us off and we lost all of the scores. The poor server was the only person in the entire alley, so she was bartending and serving everyone there. Anyway, no one could get food or drinks. She was really sweet tho and I felt for her. Just clearly the management was terrible and its way too expensive for the poor service and condition of the alley. We had fun anyway!

I love this place! Bowling here is so much fun and so new/classy! Me and my boyfriend went here for lunch and bowl. It was $ 15 a person to spend on food and we got two games of bowling with the rental shoes included. We went here by rail and walked which was less than 10 mins. I like the dim lights and the cool lounge feel. I will def be back for the other specials like Tuesday night bowl for $ 15 for unlimited after 9. Food was good too we got sliders and buffalo chicken wings.

Never going to Lucky Strike again. We had the lanes reserved for 2 hours and the bowling time expired which shutoff our lanes… we were on our 9th frame to complete which would have taken additional 10 min to finish. The workers at the front desk extended the time for ONE whole minute for us to complete, basically toying with us… Unbelievable, although we spent approximately $ 500 to bowl, eat and drink… It took another 20 min to get our bill to close out the tab which we could HAVEFINISHBOWLING with the last frame… anyhow, we took our business elsewhere and finish our bowling at Delmar Bowling and played additional 2 hours for only $ 65…DONOTGOTOLUCKYSTRIKE, waste of money and HORRIBLE Service. By the way, Lucky Strike’s lanes were not OILED… to top it off we asked them to oil the lanes… which of course they ignored our request.

The last time I visited I had Jaime as my waitress and she was so sweet and amazing! The prices are a little high, but hey that’s downtown for ya. It’s always best to catch their bowling specials too. Other than that I’ve never had a horrible experience. I’ll def go back and ask for Jaime!

Ok so this place was smaller than I expected and my friends waited over an hour to start a game(I was driving looking for parking so I was late, thank goodness because waiting is not my strong suit lol). The bar is spacious though, but drinks heavily overpriced for what they were, but they were good. The prosecco and pear drink was delicious. The grilled cheese was amazing, and my friends other food looked so good. Music selection the day we went was jammin’! The waiter is assigned to us I think, and was courteous and always helpful. I would return.

This was my first time here. Smaller than I expected, but still a lot of fun! I was very pleasantly surprised by the food. I got the short rib grilled cheese-which was delicious! My friends and I also split some Mac n’ cheese bites. You can’t go wrong with those. We also got dessert, which I can’t remember off the top of my head what it was, but it was also great! It’s also nice because you have a waiter once you are assigned a lane who continues to check on you. It’s a nice set up bc we had to wait over an hour for a lane, but they have a huge bar area to sit & hang out in. They even gave us jenga to play while we waited! Parking is kind of tricky, but it always is downtown, in my opinion. My only complaint would be the cost of the cocktails. One drink I ordered was $ 12! And I don’t believe any cocktails were much cheaper than that. All in all, a fun place! Everyone as far as staff is very nice and attentive. Will definitely be going back!

I reserved 2 lanes for my girlfriends birthday here on 01÷09÷16 and I will not be coming back for bowling. I’m not a pro bower, but you might as well find a hallway with wood floors and set up pins at the end of it because their bowling lanes are horrible. You might even find it a better time to buy those kids plastic bowling pin sets and save yourselves the hassle of coming here. They do not oil their lanes! I spent nearly $ 1000.00 here for the worst bowling experience ever. When I brought up the condition of the lanes, the staff told me they only prep their lanes for leagues that come in. We would have had a better time at a ran down bowling alley where we actually could… you know… Bowl.

Came here for girls night out based on other friends’ recommendations. The wait for a lane on a Saturday evening was an hour and a half. Luckily there’s an area with a full service bar and plenty of lounge seating for groups of friends. There is no waitress service so if you do sit in the lounge area you must order at the bar. Unfortunately the bartenders are not the most attentive or knowledgable bunch. I ordered a dirty martini and the bartender had to look at the cocktail menu for the ingredients because she had no idea how to make it… and she still made it incorrectly! Luckily the service while bowling was better. You can order food and drinks while you bowl and our server was always around to see if we needed anything. The bowling alley section itself is pretty small– 10 lanes, hence the long wait. There are big screen TV’s and background music playing and dim lighting creating a cool vibe to hang with friends. We reserved the lane for an hour and a half and were able to squeeze in 2 games for our group of 5. There is a number next to each person’s name on the screen which signifies how many minutes you have left so no need to keep track of time on your own. The biggest gripe we had was that the lane stalled every other person– totally wasted a good 10 minutes out of our time resetting it over and over again. Definitely a sign they need to update/get their lanes fixed. We also ordered food while we were there and was fairly surprised how good it was! I recommend trying the the grilled cheese with short rib sandwich– it was yummy! Definitely a fun bowling night out with friends but I wouldn’t recommend this place for serious bowlers out there– not worth what you pay for. Oh and also– parking here is terrible. There are a bunch of $ 10 private lots in the area but no free parking at all.

My husband and I came here on Christmas Eve, everything else was closed. But we had so much fun. The staff was nice and helpful and even though it was a holiday they seemed as if they were happy to be there. I am very leisurely with spending money and lucky strikes always fells too expensive. But overall I had fun.

Called, they said that they don’t take reservations. They also said it was $ 5/person/game until 5pm. We loaded up the car and took my grandmother here. We got there and they said we only have 45mins because they have a reservation at 5:15. They also told us that we would need to pay $ 45/lane at 4:30pm but we would need to leave at 5:15pm.

Went here for team building event. I have no clue about the price or cost of this event so this will be a review solely on my «free» experience! Service — super friendly… though at times when you needed someone, they were nowhere to be found. Food — we had a buffet spread set up… the pizza was good, chicken tenders were good, but the sandwiches were«bleh». Alcohol, why yes we did. That is all. Bowling — was fun! Hadn’t done it in years. They had shoes, balls, etc. Nothing special. Billiards — was pretty good, no complaints here. Environment — clean and inviting. Even the bathrooms were pretty decent. Overall, it was a good experience, and if I have a group with me willing to make a fool of themselves bowling, I’ll take them to this place. Give it a try and decide for yourself!

Lucky Strike could almost make bowling fun again if it weren’t for the terrible service, the occasionally lonnnnnnnng waits for a lane, and the awful promoter they put outside who tries to get people to come in after 10pm. I’d been to Lucky Strike about three times before the last time(maybe ever), and had always dealt with slow-ish service and mediocre food, but it was the nicest place to bowl and so we stuck with it. The last time we went, we had maybe 30 minutes left on our game around 10pm when we had to listen to a nonstop commentary by a guy who stands outside the door with a microphone trying to goad people into… bowling. It turns out nobody there actually likes him either. The servers even apologized for his presence(she had coincidentally stopped by our lane in the midst of one of his«shout outs»), and the management did a half-assed job of trying to explain that he’s only there to try and bring in extra clientele. Anyway, here’s a selected portion of some of the gems throughout the night. «Are you guys Catholic? I’m single and Filipino! Filipino guys aren’t Asian — we have bigger ****s. Shout out to the girl in the skirt! Yeah, she’s about to give me her number. Wait, she’s underage. If anyone needs help with their math test, my brother is over here! How does it feel to date the Hamburgler? No, I’m totally kidding. Shout out to the girl in the peach short shorts! Are you underage? Make some noise if you’re not pregnant! If you’re masturbating tonight!» If he were funny, it might not actually be offensive, but it was downright annoying and incessant. That’s great if he brings in extra people, but we won’t be going there again just to have a running commentary from a failed stand-up in the background.

The star is for the atmosphere. Came for a friend’s birthday. Really great atmosphere but our waiter wasn’t very friendly. It was Sunday and I had actually worked too but I wasn’t irritated with every person that walked into my store today. I ordered 2 whiskeys neat. Being a bartender myself I didn’t know that they would up charge $ 6 on top of the original $ 8.25 for an amount of liquor the size of a shot(what would go in a coke and whiskey). It wasn’t even a top shelf alcohol. When I asked the cocktail waiter why he upcharged so much, he said that is was something unique to this establishment. Not sure why. Over it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hip billiards/bowling/bar hangout. I have bowled maybe 5 times in my life, and didn’t know what to expect in a downtown bowling alley — completely modern, clean, cool bar and décor, great music. Our waitress, Nica, was friendly, engaging and very good at her job. Nice cocktail selection too. We went on a Sunday afternoon, I’m not sure what the average cost should be for bowling, playing pool, drinking w/finger food. There were four of us, we played as long as we wanted, and ordered as much as we wanted and the bill was only $ 60 per person.

Lucky Strike was a complete waste of time and money. It was $ 58 to reserve one lane for an hour on a Sunday night and rent shoes for 2 people On top of that, a serving of mediocre«Canyon Road» wine was $ 12/glass. A plate of nachos was $ 13.95. So, 2 drinks apiece and a plate of nachos put our bill well over $ 100. On top of this, the service was terrible. Even though the place was barely half full, we had a non-existent waiter and went to the hostess stand twice to ask where our waiter was. We finally resorted to getting drinks ourselves from the bar, all while the clock was ticking down. To add the proverbial icing on said cake, we were given a lane right next to a family birthday party so a hyperactive 7 year old boy named Noah screamed and jumped up and down most of the time. His pre-teen sisters were primarily interested in dancing suggestively to Rihanna songs in their frayed cutoffs and tight tee shirts. The parents, «Wayne» and«Sandy» inoculated themselves with copious amounts of red wine and bowled badly. No thanks, ever again.

This review is meant for those who are considering coming here mainly for bowling: Lanes are horrible– no oil at all, too dark, couldn’t slide my foot– almost fell couple times because floor was sticky. Balls were uncontrollable. I asked the staff: «do you guys oil your lanes often?» They had no idea what I was talking about and acted like I was coming from another planet. I guess I expected too much from this place? It’s meant for social events only? Then why charge so much for what seems like absolutely no maintainance? Decent bowlers thinking of coming here to maybe impress others– forget it haha.

Not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. $ 45 for 1 hour + $ 9 each for shoe rentals. $ 50 for 3 beers, diet coke, 3 chicken and 3 fish tacos. Service was ok, not great not bad. Fine for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Tacos were fine, not bad and nothing to write home about. Bowling was fun. The lane crapped out on us once but they had it fixed in about 5 mins or so.

Joined a few friends for a birthday gathering here on Saturday evening. When you enter the establishment, there’s a lounge area to the right and the bowling alley is to the left. I happened to spot a few friends in the lounge and went over to speak. I would definitely come back to hang out in that area. The bowling area is not nearly as big as I expected it to be. There are only about 10 – 12 lanes(if that), so long waits are to be expected on the weekends. The birthday boy reserved 2 lanes for 2 hours. The area was more than enough space for our party of 10 and it could’ve easily seated 8 – 10 more. I arrived 30 minutes late, so I’m not sure if there was a wait, however the service was very professional and timely. I don’t recall anyone having to wait longer than 5 minutes on our server. My girlfriend and I shared the buffalo chicken bites and sweet potato tater tots. Both were up to par for bar food. The food came out warm and prompt. Overall it was a great experience, despite me bowling the worst two games of my life.

I always forget about Lucky Strike when I’m trying to find a place to have dinner and drinks before a concert(either at House of Blues or Toyota Center). My friend and I came here last night before a concert and we wanted a place that wouldn’t be a cluster, but was also showing the UT game. I suggested this place after looking at their menu online. The lounge area is really nice and dimly lit. It has a nice intimate ambiance. They had 3 or 4 large screens showing different football games. I ordered the Naked Kane cocktail(a vodka drink with cucumber, agave, and mint). My friend and I shared a margherita flat bread pizza. The drink was good, but it cost more than the pizza so that was a bit of a turn off(the drink is $ 12, pizza is $ 11). The pizza is sliced into 9 squares and was plenty of food for the pair of us. It’s probably enough food for 3 people. The bar staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I browsed through the menu and it looks like they have a nice selection of food and drinks. I can’t really speak on the beer selection since I just ordered the cocktail. This place is a little on the pricey side, but honestly all of the restaurants in this area are. I can’t speak on the bowling or billiards since I stayed in the lounge, but I definitely recommend coming here for drinks and a bite to eat before a concert.

Maybe I had inflated my abilities in my memories, but I don’t remember being THIS horrible at bowling. Boy, am I glad that my performance review isn’t based on my bowling skills. My boss asked me to plan a social for the team to bond and unwind after a prolonged period of high stress. The criteria was 1. Relaxing, mindless fun 2. Close proximity to the office 3. Adheres to company safety rules. Everyone was like, «Sorry you got stuck planning this.» Ha, I love event planning, it’s just not a viable profession to support my Rich Gang Lifestyle. I had a hard time getting a timely response from the sales manager by email. She was prompt with answering phone calls, so I’d recommend doing that. I tried making a reservation, and was told that I had to wait until 7 days before the event. Okay… I guess I’ll try again later, even though I’m ready to commit and pay the entire fee RIGHTNOW. Makes no sense. We were limited to one lane unless we had more than 11 guests. Seems a little cramped to me, but maybe it’s my claustrophobia talking. The reason given was that they have high demand for lanes, but during our two hour time slot, almost half the lanes were unoccupied. By the way, you will get cut off in the middle of a game when your time runs out. The service on-site was attentive. The space is really hip with contemporary furniture and neon lights. We had just come from lunch so we didn’t order food, but the party next to us ordered pizzas and burgers that looked pretty good. They also offer alcoholic beverages, which my coworker joked would have vastly improved his game because sobriety has an inverse relationship with his bowling score. Can’t argue with science. Despite gutter ball after gutter ball,(and ONE lucky strike that I couldn’t reproduce), I had a great time.
