Had a root canal done at my regular dentist office and a piece of the file got embedded and my Dr wasn’t able to get it out, so he recommended me to Gulf Coast Endodontics. The Dr & hygienist took very good care of me and I felt no pain! The office was very serene and relaxing.

I was very nervous to get a Root Canal. Stephanie Morales and Dr. Scott were AMAZING. They made me feel comfortable and safe. I must say that this place has my five stars, and thank god they have the remains of once a very painful cavity. Thank you Gulf Coast Endodontics.

Dr Matt Haddad was my dentist during my first and last visit to gere for root canal treatment. His approach was pretty discouraging, but I bared with him since I had to solve my tooth issue. Poor interpersonal skills. From technical side, my tooth is so far so good. But I don’t think I would recommend him.

It was my first time here today and I was very happy. Very comforting staff. Dr. Sara is really good, I did not feel any pain and the way she gave the anesthetic was pain free best ever. Plus they let you listen to music throughout which is pretty cool. I was treated well from start to end. It is expensive but I feel it is worth it specially with root canals which could go bad I don’t want to take chances.

I needed emergency endodontic surgery for a surprise humongous abscess that had unknowingly been eating away at my upper mouth for years (no more bone). Had to get surgery (apicoectomy) ASAP, but to complicate things, my compromised tooth that needed surgery was holding up a 5 tooth bridge. Other words: very complicated situation that required immediate attention. I became extremely
stressed couldn’t find a specialist who a) told me the whole truth (first dr didn’t tell me any risks or that I had another issue in mouth) and b) was willing to operate (second specialist said he wouldn’t touch me because I was too complicated of a case). After I went to 3 specialists, I found Dr Sara Gomez, who was extremely professional, honest, and willing to clean up the mess. She explained my situation thoroughly, my options, my risks, and was so comforting to know that despite the prognosis being what it was, she would help make my situation better. She operated on me successfully. I would recommend her to anyone, she fixed me up, gave me confidence, and truly cared. She was so wonderful! I’m very very thankful to having found her. (I never write online reviews– but she is worth it).

I was referred here by my regular dentist for a root canal. I was extremely nervous about it since I had this idea that a root canal was going to be a horrible experience, but it was actually very easy.
Before any work was done they gave me an estimate so I’d know in advance what the fees would be. The root canal itself only took about 40 minutes, and they made sure that everything was numb, plus nitrous was available. Everyone was really nice, especially the hygienist Martha who has an awesome «bedside manner».
The location is also really handy if you have someone waiting for you. There’s a Starbucks right next door.

Bring those troubled teeth over here! Can you believe a root canal could be pleasant? So, so glad I got the referral to come to Gulf Coast Endo. All the staff were great and the gentleman who did my work was a true artist. I hope I won’t need another root canal, but if I do I’ll be back!

Quick tips: What is worse than getting a root canal? Finding out your original dentist was a moron and that you need to get it done AGAIN! Biggest quick tip I can give you — for a root canal, see a specialist like the ones at Gulf Coast Endodontics. I don’t know if it’s more expensive, but what can be worse than going through a root canal twice because you didn’t see a specialist.
Dr. Mark Haddad was great. I have a severe fear of dentists (and correspondingly endodontists) and Dr. Haddad was so nice and patient with me after I got the horrible news that I needed my root canals done over. They were able to slip me in right after my consultation to get my first procedure done.
In terms of the actual procedure, other than a slight discomfort as a result of the local anesthesia, almost no pain. The procedure was relatively quick, but thorough and Dr. Haddad did a great job of walking me through my X-​rays. I could really see how his work compared to the hack that I went to previously.
In terms of the amenities, great clean waiting room (very nicely decorated), Keurig machine and other refreshments available, they give you music to listen to while you are getting any procedures done, and they have optional laughing gas during your procedure (YES, please!), They also give you a nice little care package of chap-​stick, water and other treats to take with you.
I unfortunately can’t remember the name of the two women who helped me during my procedure and consultation, but they were also so nice and attentive. Really eased my fears during the stressful process.

I was very nervous about getting a root canal considering I had good teeth for most of my life until I cracked my second molar because I clenched on my teeth at night! Dr. Gomez and her team were amazing and ease my anxiety. The office staff are professional and efficient. Dr. Gomez is super easy to talk to and technically gifted. My root canal went very well and I am very happy that I chose Gulf Coast!

Gulf Coast Endodontics completed a root canal for me today. It’s taken me 10 years to realize that I should have had a specialist do my root canal treatment every time. They were kind, professional, affordable and quick. I’m in no pain and confident by their excellence in every other area, that Dr. Matthew Haddad did a great job! Angela, his right hand, was patient, kind, informative and caring. While I’m not looking forward to another root canal, I feel confident that now I have a place I feel good about. I’m thankful to my dentist, Dr. Kwan for referring me here. In the past I’ve complained about having to be referred out for a root canal treatment, but now I know it shouldn’t be done any other way. Thankful for specialist and for Gulf Coast Endodontics.

I’ll be the first to admit — I am a complete baby when it comes to any type of dentistry. The term «root canal» used to give me anxiety. I came here and was comforted by the amazingly decorated waiting area. It’s the nicest dental office I have ever been to.
The fees are probably slightly higher than some other places, but you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly and efficient. They made me feel comfortable even though I cried and helped calm me down.
The dentist was gentle and kept asking if I was ok, which I appreciated. Awesome practice. Definitely recommend!

I went in so nervous about a root canal. I was blown away at how well the whole experience went. From the wonderful staff who checked me in, to the very calming staff who got me settled to the amazing doc who had the most gentle hands. I was completely comfortable the entire time. I was asked often if I was OK. The procedure was explained in great detail. I can’t say enough good stuff about this experience. I hope I don’t ever have to go back but if I found myself in need this is absolutely my first and only choice.

I see other people complaining about their fees and parking — that’s what you would expect in a busy and popular area… And they’re a specialist, you pay for what you get — which is the best treatment! I refer a lot of people here, and they always have said what a great experience they’ve had, the work is excellent and top notch!

I went to Gulf Coast Endodontics for a root canal today. I found them via the provider search tool on my insurance carrier’s website. I called them yesterday because I was in a tremendous amount of pain and scheduled the appointment for today. I was really thankful that I was able to see Dr. Mark Haddad on such short notice. This was my very first root canal.
I was impressed with the white glove service I received at Gulf Coast Endodontics. Here’s why it was top notch…
1. Dr. Mark Haddad was fantastic. He was very approachable, gentle, calm and meticulous. I’m a baby when it comes to dental work and he was incredibly patient with me. He took the time to explain my x-​rays before beginning the procedure so that I understood what was going on. He completed the root canal quickly but thoroughly. He continually checked in with me to make sure I was doing ok and that I wasn’t feeling any pain. When I started to feel some pain, he didn’t question me or make me feel bad (like some dentists do) and immediately injected more anesthetic. He scored huge points with me on that one!
2. Martha assisted Dr. Haddad with my root canal and she was INCREDIBLE. She was very attentive before, during and after the procedure. She offered me a blanket, set me up with headphones so I could watch TV and made sure my laughing gas was working. She listened to all my concerns and relayed them to the doctor. Most importantly, she explained EXACTLY what would be happening so that I wouldn’t be surprised about anything. For example, she explained that Dr. Haddad would be using a rubber dam on my mouth and that it would clamp to my teeth but I wouldn’t feel anything. She also explained that a microscope would be above my head for a little while. Again, because Martha explained everything to me, I didn’t feel any anxiety. She’s fantastic!
3. Rebeka made me feel very welcome. She greeted me when I walked in, answered all of my questions about my insurance quote and was organized with my paperwork.
4. Gulf Coast Endodontics strives to meet the needs of their patients down to the smallest details. For example, they have mouthwash available in their restroom. This may not sound like a big deal, but it was to me. I had just come from work and was self-​conscious about my breath because I didn’t have a chance to brush my teeth before the appointment. That little detail showed me that someone at Gulf Coast had thought about their patients and anticipated their needs. The Buffalo Speedway location (where I visited) has a really nicely decorated, relaxing waiting room with a variety of magazines and a TV. They have drinks in the waiting room, too. Again, a nice touch and makes patients feel comfortable.
5. Their prices were reasonable. I received estimates from 4 different endodontists and Gulf Coast was close in price to all of them.
Overall, I can’t say enough positive things about this office. If I need another root canal, I’ll definitely be going back to Dr. Mark.

Incredible experience! I have never seen such a welcoming, friendly staff in any office, dental or otherwise. From the moment I walked in, everyone in the office treated me like family. From start to finish, the experience was wonderful and relatively painless. If you need a root canal, COME HERE! No question about it. I came for my first ever root canal and can’t name one bad thing about the experience.
I have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work. I’ve seen dentists previously that didn’t care if they put you through pain and were condescending about how my teeth led to cavities, etc. This place was the the complete opposite. The endodontist took the time to explain every detail to me about the procedure and only focused on how they would treat the problem in a way that was pain free. I even got to see before and after X-​rays so I could see the difference. I really appreciated their attention to detail and it was obvious they REALLY care about their patients. I was asked how I was doing through out the hour and a half procedure and they talked me through each step to prepare me and make sure I wasn’t feeling any pain (they even gave me time updates on how much longer it would take until I was done!)
There is no reason to look anywhere else for a root canal. They provided local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, headphones, and a TV on the ceiling. The environment was so relaxing I almost fell asleep once. During a root canal!
I put this procedure off for a long time because I was terrified about getting a root canal– I thought I was going to leave the procedure crying. I asked a million people about the procedure and heard all these horror stories– I for sure thought I was going to be in this terrible, awful pain afterwards. Honestly, I am still in shock over how easy this was, and its all thanks to this office! 5 hours post procedure and I’m still not in any pain. This place will quickly erase any fears you may have about the procedure.
Don’t go anywhere else! They are the BEST!

Referred by my dentist for a infection and possible root canal. I had a root canal, Sent home without a prescription for antibiotics and the discomfort. After a sleepless night and a painful spreading infection. After all this they then called in a prescription for a antibiotic and the ensuing pain that accompanied the intensifying infection.
Lack of patient care. Beware.

I was able to get in for an appointment on the same day that I called. My appt was originally scheduled for 3:30, but I got a call around 2:45 that the doctor was running behind by 30 minutes, which was better for my schedule anyway.
When I arrived, I was promptly greeted and asked to fill out the usual new-​patient paperwork. I was presented the treatment estimate, which I had to sign prior to the procedure. Mark was the assistant and Mark Haddad was the doctor.
Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for this to have gone better. I fell asleep twice during the root canal, listening to my favorite music station (they give you ear phones). It took about 1 hour and I was on my way, face numb and all.
Cautions: allow time for parking and opt for the laughing gas — it relaxes you and is worth the extra money.
I don’t want to have another root canal, but if I need one, I know where I’m going!

Super pleased with my recent visit.
I had been having facial pain following prep work for a crown on a molar (the tooth was ground down for the crown six weeks prior and a series of timing and sizing issues prevented me from getting the permanent crown seated during that time period — so I still had a temp in place). I had solicited advice and additional X-​rays from my dentist, but there was no sign of an infection/​abscess that would traditionally lead to a root canal. I finally reached my breaking point and basically asked for/​demanded a root canal in spite of the lack of evidence. My dentist said he could and would do this work in house and then immediately seat the permanent crown.
I had a bit of a panic attack, though, that I was going through with a potentially unnecessary root canal and that it might not alleviate the pain I was feeling. Since my dentist seemed so on-​the-​fence about it, I realized I needed to solicit a second opinion. My insurer urged me to do so with an endodontist, since they are specialists and have more tools/​tests at their discretion. I found Gulf Coast Endodontics through a series of phone calls with my insurer and several other area dental clinics.
Originally, I was hoping for a phone consultation — I mostly wanted to talk through my symptoms with an endodontist to get their take on whether or not a root canal sounded like a good course of action. Not surprisingly, nobody appeared to be willing or able to do so without also first seeing me. Gulf Coast Endodontics, however, was able to get me in that same day for a consultation and — should I need or desire — to perform the root canal. It was too good an offer to turn down.
I was taken back about ten minutes after my scheduled appointment time and a technician (sorry, not sure of her title — but she was very skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly) had me talk her through what brought me in, prepped me for the endodontist, and took initial X-​rays — targeted at the problematic tooth. The endodontist arrived within another 15 minutes and very quickly and easily explained why the combination of my symptoms and the proximity of the drilling/​an old filling on that molar were leading to discomfort. Unlike my dentist, he said assuredly that a root canal was a good course of action. I was happy to hear something so decisive: it really helped build my certainty that this was a good choice. (Though some might argue as an endodontist it would always be in his best interest to recommend a root canal, you need to remember that my original dentist’s lack of decisiveness is what led me here to begin with)
I was offered laughing gas @ $ 75 for the procedure but turned it down (and the way they administered novicane, front and back, it really wasn’t worth the cost — glad I didn’t get it!) and was numbed locally. While my mouth was being numbed I was talked through the financial aspects of this work. I was very pleased to see that my out-​of-​pocket expense for that day was exactly what my insurer had indicated to me it would/​could be with an endodontist. Hooray for transparency and consistency! I finally settled in to have the procedure done. The office has TVs in the ceiling, headphones to listen to the programming, and a remote to change channels. I couldn’t see the TV because of the microscope the endodontist needed to perform his work, but I think the whole set up is well conceived and executed.
The root canal went quickly and painlessly. I was told what to expect in terms of pain afterwards (their description was dead on correct!) and told what symptoms should lead me to call back. It was just all so efficient and friendly, I couldn’t believe how pleasant the whole thing was from start to finish. Even insurance was quick, seamless, and as advertised — the claim they submitted matched what I had been shown in the office and was approved no problem. I hope I won’t need much additional endodontic work, but I would definitely return to Gulf Coast Endodontics and refer friends to the office as well. I was serviced by Dr. Matt Haddad and would absolutely request him again.
UPDATE: I went back again two weeks later for a second root canal. I wasn’t able to get in as quickly the second time (I had to wait over a week to be seen), but the service remained top notch. There was some insurance «drama» which led to me paying in full for the procedure out of pocket: I guess my lesson learned from this is that the days of delayed billing for medical procedures are dead and gone. Be prepared to pay in full if you are uninsured or have exceeded your annual insurance allowance/​maximum. Nonetheless, so glad I found this place, and I would recommend it without hesitation.

BEST PLACE IN TOWN TO GET A ROOT CANAL! The Doctors are Wonderful as well as the Staff! I love the atmosphere of the office and décor :)…
