Discount Tire Store – Houston, TX

Awesome service! My tire blew out on my Audi. I called the car dealership for a quote first and was told that even though my car is essentially brand new, I had no warranty on my tires and the replacement tire was going to be almost $ 300!!!
Discount tire first looked at my old tire to see if it could be fixed, then ultimately replaced my tire for over $ 100 less. I also got their tire warranty on ALL of my tires (even though I only bought one tire today) for a great price. On top of all of that, they quoted me an hour wait time, and I was in and out in almost exactly an hour. Can’t beat that!

Had a nail in the tire of my new car. Got fast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.

I get everything done on my tires here but I’m thinking of going somewhere else seeing that I’ve been on the air check area for 15 mins and nobody’s helping me. All the people that work here are just passing by ignoring me.

I found a giant bolt in my tire Saturday morning and made it to Discount Tire. I wish I had gotten the names of the two guys who helped me, because I was so impressed. The first gentleman to help came right outside, inspect the tire and measured the treads. The bot was near the side of the tire so it was going to have to be replaced. The treads also measured low on the front tires, so both were going to need to be replaced. When we looked up prices, he found that the upgraded tires were actually cheaper than the tires I already had on the car!
He thoroughly explained the national service agreement for buying tires with Discount Tire.
I left to workout and when I came back, not even getting in the store yet, and another gentleman walked out, confirmed who I was, and handed me the keys. All set.
This was my second visit in and both times I have found the quality of service and customer service to be beyond my expectations.

I called and I booked an appointments or 4 pm, brought my car and dropped it at 3:45 pm, came back at 5 pm, I was told the car will be ready at 4:45pm, I came at 4:55 pm, guess what, the car is still untouched, they didn’t say much about why my car is still not done, 5:30pm and they are still working on my car, I have a meeting at 5:45 pm and I know I won’t be able to make it on time.
This is very unprofessional giving the fact that I booked in advanced, I know they were busy but they shouldn’t have booked me in if they can’t honor their appointment.
If you have to come come here make sure that u tell them that you expect your car to be ready within a specific time frame or you will be screwed.

Had a blown tire and brought in the rim to get a new tire on it. Was in and out quick and got great and honest advice from Luis. He even noticed the techs were busy and personally brought out my new tire!

Came in because of a nail I noticed in one of my tires. Wanted to get it repaired. Turned out I needed 3 of my 4 tires replaced.
Spoke to Kyle. Was very knowledgeable of the standards of tires and walked me through it. Made clear suggestions but definitely advised that it was best to replace the three worn out tires. He was so great that he even offered a discount without me having to ask just so I could better afford all three tires I needed. That’s working for your customer!
Super packed but they all are. He estimated 1hour and 15 mins and it took that long on the dot. I never mind waiting there cause they’re really good at what they do. The rest of the staff seemed very knowledgeable and genuinely liked coming to work. The employees out on the bay seemed to be having a good time and showed their team work by turning over the cars super fast.
I definitely recommend any Discount Tire Company but especially this location from my experience with Kyle. Definitely a leader and showed great confidence in his work.

Very Bad customer service at this location I went in for a tire on my truck that had a low PSI and all they did was try to sell me new tires instead of listen to what I wanted at the time. I buy all of my tires from them anyway but I just wanted air in my tire that day. So to the Manger of this location if you’re reading this review just learn to listen to the customers first. Really I want visit this location ever agian.

My tires were worn out so had two of them replaced here. Been coming to this location for years. Not all Discount Tires are the same and it depends on who you are dealing with at the desk also. Always come to this location for inflating and rotation. Haven’t had a problem so far. Services usually last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on what you are getting done and how many people are there. Acknowledges me when I get through the door always and quick about everything.

Great service, had a flat tire and they were able to fix it in less than 30 mins for a reasonable price.

Took my car here with a flat. Never any acknowledgement when I walked in. There was a sort of line but nobody ever looked at us. Employees were milling about doing nothing. After 10 minutes in line with no progess and never any «we’ll be with you in a minute» or other acknowledgement of the people in line, I walked out and went to National Tire and Battery where the service was fabulous.

Cant go to a better place for tires. Road Hazard is worth every penny.
If this location is too busy, we take our vehicles to the southwest freeway and kirby location.
All the guys here take care of all our cars.

I’ve actually been to this location a few times, but waited to write my review.
Overall, the workers are competent, but they’re just not very polite. Ever. If you’ve read my other review of the 610/​S Main location, you know that I’m a big fan of the chain as a whole. I stopped by for a free tire check after work one night, and it was a few minutes before 6. I get in line, and the worker tells me that the customer he’s helping is the last one. I explained that I just got off work and can’t come any earlier, and he just shrugged his shoulders and tells me «sorry.» Now, I only buy my tires from DT, but they offer free air pressure checks to everyone. So, why would I buy from a place where customer loyalty isn’t appreciated? At the other location, they’ve gotten my car in at 6:00 and completed all the work necessary.
I don’t think I’ll stop at this location again any time soon. They get points for being good at what they do, but they really can do better.

Came in to replace four tires. Made an appointment and was seen early. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and fast! No complaints!

Just had a unhappy experience.
I’d been driving around Houston for nearly an hour looking for an open tire services; my tire was extremely low and I was looking for somewhere to get the appropriate amount of air put in. I’d gone to Discount Tire on Stella Link/​610E (around 7:40am) first, but was denied services. I was told «the store hadn’t opened», but informed him I only stopped because the garage doors were opened. He then went on to say, «Well there’s no one here yet!»; confused about his statement I replied «Sir there are technicians standing and walking right in front of me. Can I ask them?» Finally he replied, «I’m sorry but we’re not opened yet and we haven’t even turned the compressors on !» Reaching a point of frustration, I simply responded «It’s good to know no one was willing to simply put air in one tire so completely have a flat. Some customer service!»

I needed two tires replaced and had been a Discount Tire customer before, so I thought I’d give this location a shot. I parked in the lot and before I even had the chance to walk to the doors, a service representative was already walking towards me and greeting me. He took a look at my tires with me and walked me inside to discuss my options and take my keys. The entire service took just over 30 min. The waiting area is comfortable and they offer free water and coffee and have decent restrooms. All in all, a great experience for a good price.
For reference, my visit was mid-​afternoon on a weekday. I did not have an appointment. Having never been on the weekend, I’m not sure how long the wait time would be then, but the staff seems to be quite efficient.

I had an almost completely flat tire this morning that was on its last leg. I was somehow able to get to this Discount Tire safely, and sat in the lot until they opened at 8. They were extremely professional, courteous and prompt. They got my Jeep on the lift right away and had the tire changed in 10 minutes. I have 20 inch wheels on my Jeep so they are normally pricey at $ 250 a piece. With the wwarrantyand taxes, I only paid $ 200. I was so pleased that they not only did the job fast, but they saved me money and there is a warranty. I am pleased!!!

Thank goodness for that Warranty I purchased with my new Tires. I had a nail in my tire and they fixed it for free. I did feel like they were trying to push me to buy new tires although I am sure I still have a good few months before I need them. They are A-​ok but just be careful not to buy new tires prematurely… they will try very hard to convince you, they’ll even offer to credit your milage.
