Discount Tire Store – Houston, TX

I’ve come to this location several times and have always had a great experience. This one was as great as I expected. They had my car in and out in no time. Chris took great care of me at check in; he was courteous, professional, and playful. CJ did the work on my car and handed my keys back to me with a smile. It also helps that both of these gentlemen are an absolute delight on the eyes! We will definitely be back.

Always helpful and great service. Made an appointment at 11:30… walking out the door within 45 minutes. Fast and friendly! I’m a lifer! Mark and Chris were both eager to help and gave me great information regarding my tires. Plan to purchase next month.

Customer service has just gone down hill from when I first started coming here over half a year ago, nothing seems to be organized, and staff slams my door just for getting my air checked. Okay rude. I’m the one who you made wait like 20 minutes and let 2 people in front of me cause y’all messed up on who came first and such. After the door slam from «nico» as it says on his shirt I was just about done.

I popped in early one morning when I noticed I had picked a screw up. Tire wasn’t flat but I knew they couldn’t patch a screw. so, I was gonna have to buy a new one. Spending several hundred dollars on new tires was not the way I wanted to end my week. But here we are.
I knew I needed two tires but was trying to put it off until closer to the holiday in case Santa decided to bring them. But alas… I couldn’t wait for the jolly ol’ elf.
Tires are never fun to replace. But if you have to this Discount Tire location is where I go. Friendly guys, easy appointments, quick service and not really bad prices. $ 160 each for my big truck tires.

I have never had an issue at this location. They are courteous and although sometimes there are long waits, that’s not really their fault. On my most recent trip I went on a Monday morning which is of course going to be a busy time for them since they are closed on Saturdays. And despite not buying a warranty on my tire, I was still given back almost 50% of the value in credit towards my new tire.
Also I like that they check your tire pressure for free. They don’t even check to see if the tires were purchased from them, they basically do it for everyone which is really nice.
I definitely go out of my way to come to Discount Tires, especially this location.

This store, not all of them, always has a super long wait, although they appear to work proficiently. I bought rims from Discount Tires, but from another store. This particular store ALWAYS seem to forget to put my hub rings BACK on my tires!!! Now they want to sell me another set behind their negligence. I do not think so!

Excellent agent assisted me. I called ahead. He checked if the tire I wanted was available. He made an appointment for me.
When I arrived, we checked the car and he checked me in. There was a price mismatch on his system, he didn’t think twice to adjust it per the internet pricing.
I left for lunch and returned to pick up the vehicle. It was ready. My car was in great condition.
Highly recommended. The person assisted was Chris — Army Reserve. Great guy.

Worst service ever. Said it would be 1.5 hour do to finish. Decided to wait — Sitting here now 3 hours and many people came in after me have already came and went. When I try to ask about it they are very rude. Terrible low life customer service — don’t recommend this location.

I came to this location for a routine balance and rotation covered under my warranty. My normal Discount Tire location had an extended wait time due to being understaffed. The balance and rotation was done in about an hour and 15 minutes, it was promised at 30 to 45 minutes, this is not where my problem lies. When I brought my car in, the tires had seven thousand miles on them and my car ran as good as the day it came off the assembly line. When I left, after the rotation and balance, there was an audible wah wah wah sound coming from the car. I read online that a bit of noise after rotation was normal, so I let it go for a few hours. The sound didn’t go away, so I called Robbie at the store who assured me if anything they had done caused the damage at Discount Tire would pay for the damage. I came back in, and the vehicle was looked at again, they suspected one of the tires was warped and immediately replaced it. Of course at this point I was very happy, until I pulled away from the store and the noise was still there, obviously the issue had not been resolved. I was then given a brochure for integrity auto on Westheimer, for a second opinion. I took my car there and they were also unable to find anything wrong. I took a chance on getting an alignment thinking maybe that would help, but it did nothing. Today I took the car back to integrity auto, where they pretty much refuse to do any work that is not necessary. They put sound sensors on the car to detect where the sound is coming from, and discovered that my left front wheel bearing and axle are generating the noise. My initial estimate from integrity Auto $ 825. I called Discount Tire and spoke with their manager named Felix, who refused to stand behind his employee’s statement that they would take care of this. He is now stating that he does not believe his shop caused this damage, even though it is common knowledge that impact wrenches and over torquing lug nuts do cause this kind of damage. So now here I am without my car, as frankly I’m scared to drive it, and they are now sending a claims adjuster out to look at my vehicle and determine if they are responsible for the damage, a claims adjuster I am sure Discount Tire has in their pocket. I’ve been a loyal Discount Tire customer for 15 years, this experience certainly has me wondering if I placed my faith in the hands of the wrong company. Felix seemed willing to help me only if it was something his shop could take care of cheaply, but as soon as it turned out to be something more expensive but they could not fix, he immediately became horribly defensive and stopped treating me like a customer of 15 years. I would absolutely never go back to this location, evidently it is worth the wait at the Discount Tire outside Beltway 8.

I got my tires and moved from Port Arthur so, I always have my tires serviced there whenever I go visit every so often because it was free to do so, but it was going to be a while until I paid another visit home.
I came in after work, and of course there was a line at the hour of close to evening time. They were trying to go as fast as they could without giving a rushed service to the current customers.
It was finally my turn, I told them my problem, they took a look at it, fixed it and as they called my name and I pulled out my wallet… they told me to have a wonderful weekend. Say what?!
If they do little things like that for first time customers I can only imagine how they treat their regulars.

Went this morning for a change of tire and the guys were very friendly and quick! I was in and out in 29 mins!

This is the best location I’ve been to for service. Everyone is really helpful and always ready to assist you. I’ve never had any problems here.
The service is great and they try to get you out the soonest they can. Since it is in a busy area coming during the week would be best.
If you happen to come in when it’s busy then you will find nearby locations for food or other stores to pass the time. Convenient location.

I got brand new tires from this location in July and it was a fantastic experience. The staff helped me go through all my options and went out of their way to answer all my questions and concerns. They even drove me to work so that way I could pick up my car later.
Today I had a flat due to a nail. They helped me with suggestions as to what to do to get the car to their location and said once it was there they would make sure to take care of everything free of charge. I was so relieved to pull up. I was greeted with a few smiling faces that were going out of their way to make sure my day was better from then on. These guys deserve a raise for how awesome they are. Not only did they fix my tire in a timely fashion, they also checked the other three and the spare.
A huge shout out and thank you to the team at this location today! Thank you!

Still the best tire company hands down. Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service every time no matter what location. They will even fix tires for free even if you didn’t buy them there, why, because that’s the benchmark for the type of service they offer. They don’t need your 5 bucks to tix a tire, they want a customer that will come back.
Every tire, every time I need one, it’s discount tire company.

The service is really incredible. It’s rare to find such awesome customer service these days but this place has set the bar. Not only did I come in right before they were about to close, but the technician repaired my tire in less than 10 minutes. Did I mention that the service was FREE? They do free tire patching, pressure checks, and rotations. The guys in the front office were sweet and helpful and the technician was awesome too.
I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. You don’t feel threatened or bullied into parts/​services that you don’t need and it is just an awesome atmosphere.

Can anyone really give an excellent five stars rating to any Discount Tire location? Well, apparently you can and I will!
I called in to this Discount tire after I get off work around 5:15 pm to see if they could fit me in for a tire balancing and rotation. The assistant manager, Quentin, told me to bring it in and they’d take care of me.
I arrived probably about 10 minutes later and I was told that they should be able to get me out right around 6:00 pm give or take a few minutes because that’s when they close down. However, I didn’t actually get out until around 6:10 pm. Not too shabby.
Now the excellent rating does not actually pertain to my personal experience. Even though I had a great experience, it was my observation of the service provided to other customers while I was waiting that earned them the full five stars rating.
Every single one of the staff that interacted with the customers were polite and soft-​spoken. Even though I didn’t get to deal with Quentin directly, I did overheard him talking on the phone with a customer who called in at 6:02 pm (that’s right. They were already closed at the time) asking about whether or not they could bring the car in for a quick inspection and to adjust the pressure on their tires because they were going on a road trip to Austin. Knowing that he still had a few cars to work on, Quentin told the customers to go ahead and bring in their car. Most locations will just tell them that they were closed and to come back some other day. Kudos to you, Quentin!
Just like any other Discount tire, this location also has a small fridge full of free bottled water and a coffee maker. The restroom was also super clean. So, quick service combined with friendly and awesome staff earned this location a full five stars!

Good tires are expensive everywhere so that’s not something we can avoid. I think this store is run really well. The service is great and they actually do good work here. I have 2 trucks and a trailer all together (14 tires) that I always trust these guys to keep rolling and they do just fine.

I’ve been here a few times before, and each time these dudes have my car in & out fast.
There’s a Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu place next to it you can go watch, or you can go to the Egg & I that’s also next to it for breakfast or lunch while you wait.
