Winning Zone Sweepstakes Arcade on King St. is CLOSED. This location is the site of many auctions. For years and years– different auctions have been held in this area. Also– it has been different campaign centers for different politicians. It was Winning Zone with many coin pushing games but it was closed not too too long ago. At the time it was open, there were many of the downtown down-trodden people that did not appear to go to work frequenting WZ. Staff were always on hand so it wasn’t an unsafe feeling but it felt like there was plenty of help if needed.

The interior is very nice but the payout is poor. I heard that the more you keep playing, the better chances you will have of winning on their sweepstakes arcade games. I spent $ 60 and won medium earnings 10% to 15% of the time. Now I can see how this place gets the money to expand its space next door. All they have to do is pay out small winnings and suck up the majority of the customers’ money. Just go to Vegas. You’ll have a better time there. The next best thing is Winner’z Zone. Pretty much almost the same games Winning Zone has but at least Winner’z Zone machines give a fair payout and they pay out every single cent. Plus, they have some video arcade games like shoot ‘em up games in case you don’t feel like gambling away your money. Here’s a little dirty secret about Winning Zone though. Whenever you redeem your winnings from the sweepstakes machines, the staff member will only give you bills. What that means is if you won $ 10.70, Winning Zone will only pay out $ 10 and pocket the $.70! Probably the only thing I enjoyed over at Winning Zone were the coin pusher games. They have a nice array and the different designs were fun to look at. What is not a good experience is seeing unhappy people. No one looked like they were having fun and some were even cussing at the sweepstakes machines(I would not blame them). I will not be returning to this place.
